No, I wasn't worried about it. I held up the two outfits. Putting them in front of me as I stood in front of the mirror. I threw the outfits on the bed, growling in frustration. Okay...I was fucking worried about it. I mean, who wouldn't be. It's not everyday that you get asked by your amazingly sexy Alpha to spend a day with him. Wait a minute...

Did I just called him amazingly sexy? Haven't we been over this before?

I shook my head, oh fuck it! I grabbed one of the outfits. Slipping on the black skin tight jeans. Throwing the white tank over my head as it held my body snugged. I latched on a silver necklace that had a small silver dream catcher pendent. The pendent hanging between my breast as I tied a dark leather bracelet around my right wrist. I checked myself in the mirror. Feeling pretty satisfied with myself as I zipped up the sides of my brown laced boots. The brown leather only going up to my ankle as I sat on the bed. Combing my hair for the 5th time when my phone went off. My heart stopping.

I grabbed my phone and my heart eased again once I found out it was just Sakura. Wow...nervous much?

"Hello?" I said and Sakura shrieked.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE GOING ON A DATE WITH KY!"

I cringed, having to pull my ear away from the phone before she killed my ear drums. "Sakura, please, don't yell into the phone."

"How come you didn't tell me!" She repeated. Completely ignoring my request.

"One, it's not a date. Two, it's not a date. And three, he doesn't like me."

"Bull fucking shit! Of course it's a date!"

"Sakura...it's not. A. Date." I emphasized. Making sure it gets through her ears and into her brain. I swear...this pack will indeed be the death of me. It might kill my ears first though.

"Pft!" She scoffed. "Whatever you say. So, what are you wearing on this 'non date'?" I could feel her eye roll on the other end of the phone. Doing quotations around the words 'non date'.

"Just black jeans, white tank, necklace, bracelet, make up, and boots."

"You should have worn a dress! You fool! But hmmm," she paused thinking. "Not bad choices though. Not to sexy, but not too prude." She paused again. Thinking longer. "Aha! You're a tease!" She said, finally coming to her verdict.

My eyes nearly popped out of my head. "What, no I'm not!"

"Yes you are!" She teased. Her voice mocking.

"Am not!"

"Serena's A tease! Serena's a tease!" She repeated over and over again. Sounding like the child announcing to everyone in the school yard who bit who and who kisses who. I rolled my eyes, sighing.

"Sakura-" it was then the sound of a car horn echoed through my house. Ky was here. I exhaled in relief, knowing that this would make Sakura stop. But my heart clenched as butterflies flew in my stomach, nerves. Fucking nervousness. "Sakura, Ky's here I have to go."

"Oooooooooooh! Go get him tiger!"

"I swear you are so hard to deal with some times."

She chuckled, "only for you! And make sure to get all the smoochey, hot, sexy deta-"

I hung up on her. Shaking my head as I slipped my phone into my back pocket. Taking a deep breath before I was startled by another blare of the horn.

"Move it kitten! We don't have all day!" Ky mind linked me. His voice making the butterflies flutter even faster. I rushed out of my room and down the stairs.

"I'm coming! I'm coming! And don't we have all day!"

"Yes, but it'll waste away from your slow moving ass!"

"Fucking stupid hot Alpha!" I grumbled to myself. Growling as I made it the bottom of the stairs. Walking through the empty house as I reached for the front door.

"I heard that kitten. You called me hot!" I blushed. Hearing the oh-so-obvious smirk in his voice.

"Stupid mind link!"

"Heard that too." He was chuckling now.

Gahhhhh! I opened the front door. Being met by a nice warm day, the sun beating down on my exposed skin. I turned and locked the door behind me. Turning back around again as I saw the black mustang at the end of my lawn. My heart was pounding like crazy as I walked down the narrow strip of sidewalk that spilt my green front lawn in two. The click of my heels slower than my beating heart. I approached the car. It's dark black color shining brightly with the light of a million flashlights. Strong and blinding. I bend over and peeked through the open window, finding a smirking Ky.

He wore a greyish blue V-neck that hugged his body too well. Dark blue jeans that ended around stylish black shoes. His dark brown hair was a sexy mess as his hazel eyes give me this look of pure want. One hand on the steering wheel, they other on the stick. Both clenching tight as if he was stopping himself. He flashed me one of his famous smiles. It took everything in my power not to start drooling right then and there.

"What are you doing kitten? Get in! I don't bite...hard, at least not yet." He teased. His teeth looking more like fangs as I stuck my tongue out at him. Earning a full-throated chuckle as I got into the passenger seat. Closing the door behind me as it closed with a heavy clang.

I rolled my eyes, earning another chuckle as he drove off. My eyes watching the world go by. "I'm sorry I didn't dress my best for today. I didn't know what we were doing and I didn't want to wear a dress in case we were going to train or something." My eyes widened, finally realizing that the area around me was no longer familiar. I whipped my head towards him. "W-where are we going?"

The corner of his lip went up in a half smile. His brown eyes remained on the road as he spoke. Not daring to look at me. "We will be going to many different places. But right now...we're going to somewhere I love." He spoke with passion and promising. My cheeks heating up once he said the word 'love'. His thought was no longer here, but in some other imagination. A certain nirvana that made him smile from ear to ear. I tore my eyes from him, looking forward as I left him in his world.

'That boy has been through Hell and back.'

Sakura's voice was in my ears. Those words repeating, words that she had used to describe Ky. I began to wonder, I began to think. What the hell has happened to him? My train of thought was abruptly stopped...once I felt fingers in my hair.

"Besides..." his voice was husky and smooth. I looked at him, my eyes meeting dark chocolate. His fingers played with my hair, holding strands as he stroked them just with his thumb. He was giving me the look...that made every girl feel vulnerable, that made her breath hitch. And that's just what he did. Ky Severs made my goddamn breath hitch. "...you look beautiful no matter what you wear...even if you weren't wearing anything at all."

My cheeks became beacons of red. He was smirking, knowing that it was him who made a girl like me blush. "K-Ky!" I said embarrassed, hiding my face as all he did was laugh and laugh and laugh. I peeked through my fingers, watching his beautiful form actually being happy. I never heard Ky Sever's laugh so much...I haven't really heard him laugh at all.

And...it made me happy.

We...were no longer on the road. The car moved to a slow stop on the uneven ground. The engine dying as Ky turned the key. I couldn't believe my eyes. Ky opened his door and got out. Shoving his hands in his pockets as I sat on the hood of his car. I couldn't look away as I opened my car door and got out. My boot felt soft against the green grass. A field of the plant called cattails surrounded yes. They were still light and feather as I looked upon them. It was absolutely-

"Beautiful." Ky said. "Isn't it?" He asked, his voice sounding distant as I stood by the car.

"Yes...it is."

We were at a lake. It's waters a clear crystal blue as it reflected the earth and sky. The rays of the sun danced on the surface, looking like fire nymphs were doing ballet on the water. A long wooden dock emerged from the bay and out into the lake. Not even reaching half way to the middle of the vast body of water. Tall trees surrounded it in their greatness. Almost seeming like they were protecting it. Only small trees dared venture by the lake side, giving a small amounts of shade from the beating sun.  The smell of the lake floated into the air as the wind blew pass me. Keeping us cool as the waters were like its air conditioner.

"I can see why you love this place so much. It's beautiful." I kept my eyes off of him. Hearing him sigh slightly behind me as he got up. His hands still in his pockets as I felt his presence behind me and to the side.

"I...I didn't fall in love with this place just for its beauty. I..." he contemplated, wondering if he really wanted to tell me the real reason. My heart sank as I bit my bottom lip. Maybe he loves this place...because maybe this was the first place he took Rachel out on a date. I swallowed hard, feeling my heart sinking silently. Fucking damn emotions! Stop acting like you like him!

"Did you...?" I licked my lips nervously. Feeling his eyes perk towards me. "Do you love this place so much...because this is were you and Rachel went out on a first date?"

There was a pause and then an immediate chuckle. He shook his head while his gorgeous soft laughed passed his lips. Was he making fun of me? Did he think I was stupid for even asking that question? It was then I felt his mouth near my ear. His hot breath brushing against my sensitive ear every time he spoke.

"You sound like a jealous mistress, kitten."

It took every inch of me not to moan from his raspy voice. Unfortunately I was not able to hide my blushing cheeks and embarrassment. "What?! N-no...I was just..."

He was laughing again, this time giving me some space. The butterflies in my stomach were doing flips now. "No, you're...you're the first person I had ever brought here. Maybe the only person that I will ever bring here." His voice was soft now. Almost as if it was caressing a kitten to sleep. I looked at him. The Sun's rays outlining and darkening his features beautifully. Almost as if he had just came out of a painting or a photo shoot.

"Why me? Why did you choose me to bring here? I'm not complaining but...I am curious." I questioned. Reassuring him that I was glad that he brought me here instead of someone else.

He shrugged, his hands remaining in his pockets the whole time. "Just a feeling I guess."

I tilt my head, "a feeling?"

He chuckled at my dumbfounded face. Putting one of his hands at the back of his neck as he spoke a bit...shy? "It's hard to explain, but I do know it's a good feeling though."

I blushed, fucking cheeks! Why can't you stop blushing! He smiled as he stared right at my blushing cheeks. Shaking his head with laughter as he nudged my shoulder with his. His shoulder standing a full two inches above mine. "Come on...let's go take a walk."

I listened to his request and we began to walk side by side. The tips of the cattails brushing against my legs as we walked to the dock. Our feet slowly stepping on the old tan wood as they made it creak slightly. Our eyes taking in our surroundings.

"No, I loved this place...because it helped me cope." Ky said softly as we stood at the end of the dock. His voice fading into the sound of remembrance his eyes looked upon the lake with gratitude. I combed my hands through my hair, the wind blowing it in all directions. 

"Cope? Is that about what Sakura told me?"

His eyes nearly popped out of his sockets. Looking at me frantically as fear flashed in his eyes. "W-what did she tell you?" He looked like a scared child, so innocent and yet...so afraid. I had to glue my arms to my sides in order for me not to hug him. To comfort him.

"She only told me that you went through hell and you're trying to recover from it. Nothing specific, she knew that you wouldn't like it if she told me. That if you wanted me to know...you would tell me on your own time."

He sighed with relief. Running his hand through his hair as he tried to recover from his slight heart attack. His eyes...were dull as if...he was remembering something slowly. Something that would kill him from the inside out. Feeling his pain...I placed my hand on his shoulder. Feeling a light shock as we touched. I thought it was just static or something, so I didn't pay much attention to it. He looked at me...his eyes apologetic and regretting.

"Serena...I-"

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. Especially if you're not ready." I reassured him. Our images being reflected in the lake...looking as if...there was something between us. But...I knew better. We all knew better.

He took in a shaky breath, his hand placing itself on mine. His eyes closed as his face contorted into painful relief. "Thank you Serena. Thank you."

I smiled, "don't mention it. Now come on let's-" I took a step back and the piece of wood broke beneath me. Cutting my sentence as I began to fall, losing my balance. I thought I was going to hit my head or land back first into the water. Turns out I did neither. Ky had grabbed my wrist and I was pulled towards him. My hands were on his chest as his arms were around my waist. My heart was pounding. We were close...we were too close. If I just move my head to look up at him...we would be... My cheeks were on fire. What was Ky thinking during all this?

Ky's arm held me secure against him. The dangerous smell of lavender hitting my nose as my breath was heavy and shaky. Hearing him growl a little every time my breath brushed against his neck. I bit my bottom lip, trying to keep my breathing controlled. His other hand stroked my hair away from my left ear. The ear that was closest to him as I felt his breath against it.

"You should be more careful...kitten." He whispered in my ear. His voice had a certain edge to it that made my knees wobble slightly. His breath hot and heavy as he took in a deep breath. Breathing me in. I closed my eyes as a certain tension grew between us. My lips parting as his head dipped to my shoulder. His lips just centimeters over my bare skin. My whole body was fire with anticipation, nervous to see what he would do next. Turns out...my hopes would die quickly.

He cleared his throat, straightening up himself as he stepped back. My body missing his warmth the moment he let go. I looked at him and he turned his back quickly towards me.

"I...um," he said. Trying to control himself or at least trying to change the subject. "Come on, let's get going." He said. Walking as I trailed two feet behind him, the moment a bit awkward. I was blushing like crazy...glad that he was walking ahead of me instead besides me. My eyes peeked at him. Seeing his arms completely tense...as if he was fighting them not to move.

Little did I know...he was blushing like crazy too.

            After the lake we went to go get lunch at his favorite diner, "Hungry Howey's". He had a pulled pork sandwich while I had a burger. They both came with fries and we both got milkshakes, mine was strawberry while his was chocolate. After our bellies were full until it felt like we were going to throw up, we went to his home. I didn't go inside and we didn't stay long, he went in to just get some things. He went in empty handed but came back out with a really thick big blanket and a cooler. Putting them into the back before he hopped back into the driver's seat.

"What's that for?" I asked him and he smirked. Turning the key as he started the engine.

"That's for later." He spoke as if he was keeping a secret.

"What's happening later?" I asked. Of course curious as hell. I always had a knack for being curious.

He gave me a wink as he put a finger to his lips. My eyes snapping to his lips before they went back to his eyes. "That's a secret."

I rolled my eyes and he laughed. Driving off as we began to head to the mountains. We talked and we began to get to know each other on a different level. A friendly level, but deep down...I felt my heart hurt with the thought of just being friends. Ignoring my heart, I kept talking with Ky. Learning his interests, his flaws, his family, his personality. I learned all theses things about him and he did the same. I told him his contact in my phone was "Thee Alpha." He liked that a lot. We then reached the mountains, where the air was nice and crisp. We rolled down the windows and Ky cranked up the radio.

*start playing music video. It's "Ride" from Timeflies.*

Ky followed the road. Following the mountains as I stuck my head out of the window. Watching the trees and massive buildings made out of rock pass by as we climbed the mountains higher and higher. The wind blowing past me as my eyes took in the big dark amber woods. Putting my head back in the car as I watched Ky tapped to the music. Looking like a totally different person as his fingers drummed against the steering wheel, his head bopping as if he was in a rock concert. He soon caught me watching him and he stopped immediately. His cheeks and ears tinting with embarrassment. I laughed, his smile coming back once more. The moment was perfect.

Ky's eyes widened. He lowered the music and then put up both of our windows. I was going to protest, but then I saw him take his phone out of his back pocket. Someone was calling him. He looked at the caller ID and his face contorted into pure frustration. He answered it, sighed, and put the phone up to his ear.

"Hello Rachel."

I immediately tensed. Looking at Ky as he kept looking straight ahead. I heard her nasally voice as she spoke, but I was unable to hear anything she was saying. I had my phone werewolf proofed and so did Ky. All werewolves do that, that way if a pack is trying to make a plan with another pack, the line won't get hacked. But we can always hear human phone calls, even the FBI's. But don't tell anyone I said that.

"No Rachel, I can't hang out with you today."

She talked back. Her voice louder and more Whiney. I rolled my eyes.

"Because I told you I had business to take care of."

She was begging now. I crossed my arms and sulked into my seat. Looking straight on. I felt Ky's eyes peeking at me.

"No Rachel, I can't take care of it tomorrow. I'm taking care of it now," he was getting annoyed. "Look I gotta go okay."

She sighed, whining a bit longer before  she told him she loved him. Making my heart die silently. He rolled his eyes, almost as if he was scoffing off her love. But I knew deep down he would rather have her by his side than have no one.

"Goodbye Rachel....Alright, bye." He hung up the phone. Shoving the phone back in his pocket as he kept driving. I was looking out the window. Sensing his eyes taking long glances at me. Just peeking at the road.

"She doesn't know you're with me?" I said softly. Breaking the silence.

"No...she doesn't. I told her I had business with my father today. She thinks I'm at his office."

"Oh..." I looked down. He was ashamed to be seen with me. "...I-I see." I stuttered. Fumbling with my fingers as I felt a sting of tears coming on. We soon came to a stop, reaching our destination. The sun setting slowly in front of us as I sniffled. Catching Ky's attention as he looked at me with hurt eyes. His hands turning the key to kill the engine.

"Serena...are you okay?" He cooed.

I looked away, turning my back slightly toward him as I fell limp in the seat. Trying to hold back the tears. Why the hell am I like this?!?! "Yes, everything's fine." My voice was solid and reassuring. Unfortunately...Ky always knew better.

"Liar," he said stern. "Serena...look at me."

I shook my head.

"Look at me!" He commanded again.

I wouldn't budge. Not for one second. Then I felt his eyes change and mine did the same. Oh no.

"Look at me." He demanded in his Alpha voice. I whimpered, giving in as I slowly turned to him. His mouth opening agape as our eyes faded to our naturally color. My eyes could totally show my emotions as clear as fucking day. Stupid fucking emotions!

"Serena...what happened?" He said truly concerned. His hand reached out for me, but I slapped it away. Don't touch the thing that you loathe so much.

"You're ashamed of me!" I snapped. My mouth ready to spill everything.

He was baffled. Having to do a double take to remember where the hell all this was coming from. "I'm not ash-"

"Yes you are! You didn't tell Rachel that you were with me! You didn't want anyone knowing that you were spending time with your beta! That you were spending time with someone like me!" I blabbered. Great, there goes my big mouth...again. Someone give me a huge fucking chill pill cause Ky is making me lose my shit.

"Serena-"

"No more lies Ky, just please. Please for the love of god tell me the-"

"I was trying to protect you!" He shouted and it felt like the whole world went silent. My blabbering stopped along with my crying. The birds seem not to sing as everything became tense and still. My eyes were about to pop out of my head.

"W-What?"

He sighed, looking down for a moment before his eyes snapped back into mine. Clarity and truth only radiating within them. Slowly, gently, he reached for me again. His right hand caressing my cheek as I looked at him. A flurry of sparks going off all at once.

"I didn't tell her...because I didn't want her to hurt you."
