Chapter Two: Self Unimprovement
Popee was acting fucking psycho, trying to beat the frog into submission. Kedamono was fucking horrified.
"JUST. JUMP. THROUGH. THE. HOOP!" Popee yelled in anger, smacking the frog.
"Popee, stop it!" Kedamono begged.
Popee turned to him with a snarl. "Shut up, Kedamono, or I'll shove this hoop up your ass!"
That kept him quiet.
Popee continued to angrily mutter death threats to the frog, who would not give in to his demands. That was the number one thing that pissed him off.
He got up, squeezing the frog's throat tight. He was twitching angrily.
"You, jump through the hoop," He started. "Or I'll fucking cut you into little pieces, and make you into risotto."
"Popee!" Kedamono shrieked. "He's just a frog, stop it!"
"A stupid, disobedient frog!" Popee yelled, squeezing his throat tighter.
Then, he threw him through the hoop. Frog hit the sand with a splat, the air having already left his lungs.
"Popee, oh my god!" Kedamono screamed in terror, rushing to the frog's aid.
He scoffed. "He should've listened to me, then."
And with that, Popee stomped off, leaving Kedamono horrified and disgusted.
So many thoughts ran through his head. Mostly that Popee had some serious issues to work out, and needed to work them out soon.
Then, Kedamono stood up, an angry expression on his mask.
"That psychopath needs an intervention."
-
Popee was sharpening his knives. Couldn't kill Kedamono with a dull one, after all. Suddenly, he felt himself being grabbed by his bunny ears.
He screamed, and writhed around, trying to stab whoever was trying to grab him.
The stranger snatched his knife, stabbing him in the arm.
Popee was shoved into a bag as he groaned in pain, fighting to stay awake.
That was one fight he lost.
-
Popee woke up, completely surrounded by family. He'd rather be surrounded by poisonous vipers.
He gasped, then quickly sat up with an angry expression.
"WHAT IS THIS, HUH?!"
Papi clapped his hands together with a gleeful grin. "Your intervention, my boy~! Your violence is getting out of hand~!"
"He's right, Popee," Kedamono replied, looking slightly angry. "Just this morning, you threatened to make the frog into risotto if he didn't jump through the hoop."
"HE WAS BEING DISOBEDIENT!!" Popee insisted angrily.
Then, he slouched down with a glare, crossing his arms. "What could you do to 'help' me anyways?"
"Popee, you need to calm down. Stop being so violent. And so mean." Kedamono said.
"He's right, my boy. You throw hands at the littlest inconvenience~!" Papi chuckled, not seeming as serious about this as Kedamono was.
Popee knew he was, though.
Then, Popee got up.
"Where are you GOING?!" Kedamono cried.
Popee turned back with a glare. "Would you stop trying to 'help' me? I'm just fine, and extra perfectly normal."
He left with a scoff, leaving Papi confused and Kedamono very hurt by this.
-
Popee paced around the circus angrily. "I'm just fine. I don't know what they're talking about."
He made a left, glaring at the sand like it was his worst enemy.
"They're just being stupid. It's not me that needs help, it's them. I'm perfectly fine."
He walked around one of the tents, lightly gazing up at the blue sky. It was shining down on them like the bluest oceans. Though Popee wasn't sure if oceans were really blue or not.
"Am I really fine?" He questioned himself with a frown.
"Am I too violent..?"
Then, he paced around a bit more, and came across the weird mirror.
He stared at it. Wondered.
Then, he walked inside of it, closing his eyes and feeling the vortex swirling around him as he came to an entirely new universe.
He opened his eyes, and immediately saw a pink blur from out in the distance.
He approached it.
"Hey, asshole," He greeted Onomadek.
She turned around. "Hey, asshole," She greeted Popee. "Why'd you come here?"
"Onomadek..." Popee started. "Am I too violent?"
She blinked. "What?"
"Is there something wrong with me?" He questioned, concerned. Then, she began to laugh.
"Of course there's something wrong with you!"
He began to feel very offended.
"But there's something wrong with everyone. You should embrace insanity, not worry about it!"
He nodded with a smile, beginning to hear the screaming and crying coming from the other circus.
"Let me guess. You tied Eepop up to a pole upside down, and the blood is now rushing to her brain."
Onomadek laughed. "You know me too well. It's a bit concerning."
"Well, if you're not trying to kill her, you'd better untie her now." Popee chuckled, walking off.
She just shook her head, muttering to herself, "I have every intention of killing her."
Popee jumped back through the mirror, his eyes closed. He felt completely at ease with himself now, he had accepted that he was crazy and there was nothing he could do about it but stay on his medication.
Kedamono wasn't ready to accept it that easy.
-
"You can change! Everyone can change!" Kedamono insisted, following Popee around.
"Not me," Popee chuckled. "And frankly, I don't want to."
"But why?! You're not gonna have many friends if you keep acting like this!" Kedamono cried, really wanting to help him.
Popee turned around wide eyed, with a sadistic smile. "I'm not losing any friends," He said. "Because if any of you try to leave me, I'll make you regret being born."
That was enough to make Kedamono back off.
Popee laughed as Kedamono waddled off. His fear at his statements was always amusing.
The scary part was even Popee didn't know if he was kidding or not.
-
"Popee, you just need to deny your violent urges!" Kedamono encouraged. "You can do it, you're strong enough to do it!"
"I could," Popee pondered. Then, he gave a smirk. "But I don't wanna."
"Oh, come on!" Kedamono exclaimed. "I believe in you, Popee, I always have!"
"Then you're believing in false hope." Popee replied with a cocky grin. "I'm never going to stop being me, it's too much fun."
"Popee—" Kedamono started. Then, Popee looked at him seriously.
"Kedamono..." He said. "Let me give you a bit of advice."
"Ok..." Kedamono replied nervously.
Then Popee threw a bomb at him. "Take fast, motherfucker~!"
Kedamono screamed as Popee laughed, running away. "How's that for my answer?! Will you fuck off now?!"
Once he was a ways away, he rested his head on a post, sighing happily.
"He is absolutely clueless."
