Casey has had a crush on Misty for a while and she felt defeated when Misty started dating Melody. But then, something happens that might give her a chance!

Casey's POV:

I've had a crush on Misty for a while now. As well as she is pretty and all, I mostly was drawn to her by her personality.

She has a kind soul and always puts other people's needs before her own. Although she can be feisty around those she doesn't like, she is actually really caring around the people she does like.

I had always been hoping she happened to have the same feelings for me too but, she obviously didn't since she then started dating Melody. I felt defeated, although I still tried to hang out with Misty since she was still my best friend.

I say trued because whenever we did try to talk, her girlfriend would just drag her away from me and try to get her to hang out with me less and less. I then started to feel more upset to the point I started bunking off school to avoid everyone.

Although word spread pretty quickly that Melody had recently broken up with Misty. I felt really bad for her and I then came back into school the next day.

I found Misty sitting on a bench alone so I sat next to her.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Not really..." Misty muttered.

"I've heard the news and... I'm really sorry that happened to you!" I said.

"Thank you, but to be honest, I was going to try and break up with her anyway," She admitted.

"Really? Why?" I asked.

"Because she was trying to make me avoid you so she could have me all to herself," She explained, "And also because she only really cared about my looks and not my personality..."

"Well, I've always preferred someone's personality over their looks," I said, "And that's why I hang out with you, because you're so kind hearted and... you were too good for Melody anyway!"

"Thank you!" Misty smiled, blushing.

I know it was too soon for us to start dating a day after her break-up so we waited a few weeks and then I asked her out. I'm so happy that my dreams finally came true!
