You didn't get it?

This oneshot is based on my freakin real-life story, about the time I was with my crush, or more like the girl had a crush on me (yeah, you think I was a dense Onix who wrote story about love and have no love life? *pfff*)

That girl's nickname was Newjin and we still keep in touch until now. I remember when my friends found out about this, they gave us the shipping name: NewJayShipping (talk about creativity)

I will named myself as Ash and she will be Serena. Let's see how this thing go

Ash's POV

That day was the day we made our peresentation. We gathered at my house, since our group members had some stupid reason for not choosing their houses like "Their parents afraid of germs" or "Their house are too small". What the heck? One of the members has a flippin mansion and he doesn't want to choose it

I take my laptop and start typing our assignment. I was helped by Serena, by other members just running around, selfie, chatting about boys or playing games. That's what I called teamwork.

Talk about Serena, she was the weirdest girl of all. All of the girls in my class have one rule: Never sit with a boy, unless you're forced to. But she didn't follow that. In computer class, which we can sit next to anyone, she chooses to sit with me. Now that's strange. I don't think she feel pity when I have no friend. Hell, I have lots of them. It just... when there is an exam, people want to sit next to anyone they can.... take inspiration for their answers

Anyway, my friends decided to go upstairs to sing karaoke, or in the other word, torture each other's ears, leaving me and Serena alone. I helped her with any idea she wants to put in

"Hey Ash, can I go to the kitchen and make something for us- I mean for the group?" She asked. I turned around and saw her blushing a bit. Is she having a fever?

"Sure, just do it" I answered. She went to the kitchen and started cooking. My mom said we could do anything in the kitchen, just don't burn it. While waiting, she got back to me

"So Ash, since we are alone so..." She asked but got cut off by me "So what?" I asked with my eyes still on the laptop screen.

"It's okay, just want to explain about my situation" She bowed her head. I turned around and started worrying

"What happened? You have a fever?" I asked

"No, it just... I'm going to the US" She said quietly

"What, why?"

"My family gets a job there and I will move in the end of school year. I don't want to leave our friends. But I don't know how to tell them that"

I started to feel sad for her. I had encountered many farewells from my friends, about 10, I think. But she had remained in our class for 7 years (I studied in grade 7 when this happened). Leaving your friends behind is hard, but leaving them to a different country is even harder. It's hard to make friend in a country which doesn't speak your language. I'd like to pull her into a hug to comfort her, but I thought it was way too far for just friends, especially when you hug someone who had different gender from you (Me and my 13-year-old thought). I put my hand on her shoulders

"Don't worry. I'm sure they will understand" I let out my signature grin to her: A grin shows my pointy teeth in my jaw, fits perfectly in each gaps

"Oh, you and your vampire grin" She giggled and I smiled at it, then I got back to my work. Suddenly, I turned around and saw her leaning in me

"Uh, Serena, what are you do-" I got cut off by a pair of lips on my cheeks. I snapped out and found out it was Serena's, making me blushing madly. I knew I was dense like every boys in my class told me, but at least a part of me wasn't. I did knew how to blush when I met a girl, but I didn't know how to tell if she liked me or not.

"D-Did you j-just... kiss me?" I asked

"What, you don't like it?" - Serena giggled - "Look man, I know you like me. You always turn your head around to see me. You think I don't know about it?"

"Wow, is it that obvious?" I asked

"Yeah. You know, I kinda like you, too." She gazed at me with a smile, and I smiled back. We both stayed like that until...

"Is something... burning?" I asked with my nose twitching

"Oh no! Our snack!" She quickly ran in and saw an over burned snack. I felt sad for it, but I decided to give a joke

"Pathetic..." I rolled my eyes. She turned at me with her eyes filled with anger and rage

"WHY DON'T YOU DRAG YOUR BUTT IN HERE AND START COOKING? YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL!" She shouted at me

"AT LEAST I'M NOT A 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO TOOK THIS LONG TO CONFESS!"

"AT LEAST I'M NOT A 13-YEAR-OLD BOY WHO WAS SO GOD DAMN DENSE AND FREEZE WHEN SOMEONE KISS HIM!"

"OH YEAH? PROBLEM, YOU HORSETAIL?" I mentioned her ponytail hair

"THAT'S RIGHT, YOU BRATTY ROCKHEAD!"

"IS THAT MY NEW NICKNAME?!"

"YEAH, PROBLEM, ROCKHEAD?"

"NO!" I ended the argument and we both bursted out laughing. Then we blushed when someone let out an "Ooooh" behind us

"Oh look, Ashy-boy has a new girlfriend" My best friend, Gary, said (In real-life he said: "Oh look, Flynnie-boy has a new bae." I don't want to put that sentence in)

"Seriously, you two should get a room" One of the girls, Misty, said (Also, for your information, my whole class is also dense as hell. If you want to find a dense family then you know where)

We both blushed but managed to speak out in unison

"THERE'S NO WAY I'M GONNA KISS HIM/HER. HEY! STOP COPYING ME! AHHHH!"

Then we both went out and finished our presentation

"Wow, it's so long." Serena said about the word counts on the screen: 1200

"That's what she said" I rolled my eyes

"WHAT WITH THAT TONE? WANT A FIGHT?" Serena shouted at me

"I would fight with you, I just afraid that you will break your own hands" I said arrogantly

"Yeah, I also would fight you, but then your phone bill will rise when we call an ambulance!" She shouted at me. We both laughing, except me, who was smiling at the cheerful Serena, who forgot about the pain of going to the US and leaving her friends
