Let's recreate the Budew scene :D

Cuz I totally didn't have to go through that too 

TOTALLY

I totally just found them in the wild

I held Budew up dramatically toward the sky.

"BUDEW PLEASE EVO-HO-HOLVE!"

"Buuu?" Budew blinked at me innocently.

"I have FED you."

"Budew!"

"I have PROTECTED you."

"Buu!"

"I have LET you bite Rei."

From across the room—

"YOU LET HIM?!" Rei shouted.

"That's not important right now!"

Budew happily clapped his little hands.

"Budeeeew~!"

I shook the tiny grass Pokémon gently.

"Please. I am BEGGING."

"Buu?"

"You are so tiny."

"Budew!"

"You trip over pebbles."

"Buu..."

"You got scared by a leaf yesterday."

"That was hilarious," Rei muttered.

"It attacked him emotionally!"

Budew puffed up indignantly.

"DEW!"

I sighed dramatically, holding him against my chest.

"Why won't you evolveeeee..."

Pikachu looked up from beside me. "Pika pika."

"I KNOW friendship takes time but I've BEEN loving him!"

Budew immediately brightened at that.

"Budeeeew~!"

"...Wait."

A soft glow flickered faintly around him.

I froze.

"...WAIT."

Rei sat upright instantly. "...Oh?"

The glow vanished.

Budew sneezed.

"Buh-CHOO!"

Silence.

I stared blankly.

"...You can't do that to me."

"Budew?"

"You almost evolved!"

"Buu..."

"You teasing little plant."

Rei burst out laughing immediately.

"He literally baited you!"

"I SAW THE GLOW."

"You got friendship-clickbaited."

"THIS ISN'T FUNNY."

Pikachu fell over snickering. "Pikapiii-hi-hiiiiiika!"

I held Budew up again dramatically.

"Listen to me carefully."

"Buu?"

"If you evolve, I will give you ALL the good mulch."

Budew gasped softly.

"Budew..."

"And poffins."

"Buuu?!"

"And your own blanket."

"BUD—"

The glow appeared again.

Brighter this time.

I screamed immediately. "IT'S HAPPENING."

Rei nearly fell out of his chair laughing.

Budew glowed warmly in my hands, tiny body changing shape slowly as the light expanded outward.

Then—

The glow faded.

I stared.

A tiny Roselia blinked up at me.

"...Oh my gosh."

"Roseliaaa~!"

I gasped loudly and hugged him instantly.

"YOU'RE TALL NOW."

"You say that like he's six feet," Rei snorted.

"He has LEGS."

Roselia proudly held up his little rose hands.

"Rosé!"

I teared up dramatically. "My son..."

"You've had him for like two months."

"He GREW UP TOO FAST."
