While we lie
in the lap of luxuries,
there they die brutal deaths.

While we eat
sumptuous meals,
their kids go starved to sleep.

While we plug in
our earphones,
their girls scream themselves hoarse.

While we complain
and ask for more,
they commit suicide to escape rape.

While we neglect
everything and sleep,
there they pray for early death.

While we wait,
fearful of our fate,
they shall walk towards heaven's gate.
