Society should be blinded-
They'd be more open-minded. 
Where's the Golden rule that I learned?
Amendment 14 we all confided in?

Now society calls it right
To choose between
Black and White;
Gay and Straight;
Brunet and blond.

Can I just say,
Society is wrong.

You shouldn't care what I look like
What gender I prefer.
Why does it matter if I call it futbol or soccer?
Why do you care how I dress?
It's none of your concern.
Maybe you should go back to school, sit down and learn
What people went through to be what we call "free" 
And learn where you came from; what that actually means.

We're fighting a war to have equal rights-
Equal lives-
Sorry I thought we passed that point in time

When I could be owned based skin or assigned birth.
What really has changed? Don't confuse anxious laughter with mirth.

The world should be moving forward
But instead, we're moving back?
Who is that supposed to help?
Certainly not anyone I've met.

Don't brush it off like it's dirt on your shoulder
Maybe society just needs to start over-
blinded-we'd be more open-minded
