Nate

I peeled my eyes open noticing there was too much light in the room.

I tried to whine about it but my throat felt too dry and I just ended up coughing. I heard murmurs and some footsteps getting closer.

"Nate?" I heard a familiar voice.

I smiled internally.

"Satan is that you? Am I finally in hell?" I croaked out dramatically and started coughing again.

I need water right now.

"Nate cut the crap" He said and I saw him pouring some water in a glass. My vision was blurry and all that light was really annoying me.

But Leo closed the curtains. Such a good maid.

He's missing the outfit though.

"Thanks" I said taking the glass of water and gulping down, "Now bring some more"

"You're lucky you just woke up" He said. "I owe you a punch"

"Yeah right, as if you can punch"

"Nate, are you really awake?" Ares asked walking into the room.

"No, you're obviously delusional"

He let out a sigh and smiled softly, "Welcome back" He said.

But still I felt like there was a thing missing.

"Oh My God, Nate you're awake" Vincent exclaimed walking into the room.

"Yes, they didn't want me in heaven or hell either and they decided to send me back"

"Oh God, this coma recharged him" Leo groaned.

Ares let out a chuckle and put a hand on his chest, "You're back"

But still, there is something missing.

After a few seconds two girls walked into the room and I smirked.

"Hey Serenity" I greeted, "Who's that?" I asked pointing at the girl next to her.

Everyone in the room went silent and they seemed shocked. The girl's eyes filled with tears and her lips had parted and were trembling.

Oh no. Fuck, I'm such an ass. I made her cry

"Oh I know who that is" I said trying to make her feel better and she widened her pretty eyes full of hope, "That's my favourite girl in the world, Rosy" I smiled.

Hopefully she doesn't hate me.

"I was just kidding" I chuckled "Hey Rosy" I said feeling my lips stretch into a smile automatically.

I would never ever ever forget you, stupid.

I expected her to be mad at me or annoyed. I expected her to roll her eyes at me, but she wasn't annoyed in the slightest.

She shut her eyes and breathed out a sigh of relief while her lips formed into a smile, but her eyes were still glossy. She still looked broken and it broke me.

Did I do that to her? Was she that worried about me?

I didn't know if I should be happy to know that she cares or sad to see her like this.

"Can you leave me and Rosy alone for a second?" I asked as my eyes couldn't leave her.

"You need to see a doctor first" Ares said firmly.

"The doctor can wait-"

"I'm not sure about that Mr Axel" I heard an annoyingly calm voice. It was actually the doctor waiting at the door with an annoying smile.

Who does he think he is, keeping me away from my Rosy?

I rolled my eyes, "Okay fine, quick" I said. The faster we get this done the faster I can get back to my Rosy.

The doctor did a check up. I didn't really listen because my mind was on Rosy. Vincent was there too though. They knew well that I didn't really care what the doctor said. I just kept nodding.

"Did you listen to anything he said?" Vincent asked once the doctor left.

"Of course not that's your job. Now leave and tell Rosy to come here in ten minutes" I said shooing him away.

While he was gone I quickly freshened up a little.

I was so excited about seeing her. Finally everything was over and I could tell her how I feel. She looked so sad when I saw her earlier and I just wanted to kiss it away.

I saw her walk in slowly before closing the door behind her. I smiled at her and opened my arms for her to step in. She didn't hesitate and ran into my arms.

"Rosy?" I whispered, "You can let it out now"

I knew she had probably been holding it in for all these days. She probably felt guilty too. I wanted her to let it out.

She started sobbing in my arms and hugged me tighter.

"I missed you so much" She said quietly. She pulled away and looked at me right in the eyes.

Her sea green eyes were glinting and they were filled with tears. I noticed a few fading bruises still on her and her eyes looked really tired, but I would mention it later.

"I'm sorry for getting you into this mess I'm-"

I cut her off by kissing her. I hadn't had the time to kiss her all I wanted and now I finally could. We were finally free. I could go out with her without the fear of someone seeing us.

I pulled away seeing how shocked she was.

"Don't you ever say sorry, okay? I did it because I wanted to and I would do it again in a heartbeat"

"I wouldn't have accepted if I knew you'd get hurt" She said shocking me.

"Well I would have forced you anyway. That was the best thing I've ever done"

I would finally get to tell her. I felt anxious and I thought she didn't really feel the same. I didn't get to spend much time with her all these months together, but I became so obsessed with saving her that it became my sole purpose. I got attached to her.

"I'll find your parents. I promise I will, but please don't leave me"

I couldn't believe I was pleading someone not to leave me.

"I know it's selfish for me to ask that, but I want to be selfish for once. I want you to be happy and I can make you happy" I told her.

She seemed unsure. I didn't know if it was time to tell her how I felt, but I wanted to. It felt so overwhelming to keep it in.

"I understand if you need more time but-" I held her hands in mine and looked into her eyes smiling, "I think I'm falling for you Rosy" I mumbled.

She was surprised at first but then she smiled.

Oh fuck, is she going to make fun of me now?

"If you don't feel the same-"

This time she kissed me. For the first time she kissed me first.

"How could I not feel the same?" She questioned.

I felt my face heat up and frowned.

Why does my face feel hot now?

"Look at you! You're all red" She said laughing.

Oh My God-

"I-I'm not. I'm just hot, I-I mean it's hot in here"

She laughed causing me to smile. I loved her laugh. She didn't laugh often but when she did, it lightened up my dark world.

"So did you actually mean you feel the same?" I asked still quite unsure and she nodded.

A few months ago, before I met Rosy, I thought I could make any girl fall for me, but I was a whole other person now. I couldn't believe a girl like her, delicate and beautiful and loving could feel like that for me.

I wanted to tell her that I loved her. That I was sure I did, but I guess it was a little too early. I didn't want to scare her away.

Plus I didn't think telling her that in a hospital after I had just woken up from a coma was the best decision. It had to be romantic.

Ares would have to help me out on that. Or Vincent.

Nevermind.

I cupped her face and stared at her beautiful face, "You still have bruises, didn't they take care of you?" I whispered.

"It's nothing" She said.

"Your well being is everything to me though" I said slowly leaning in.

"Uncle Nate!" Someone yelled.

I looked at the door already knowing who it was.

I hopped off the bed giving a smile to Rosy and opened my arms.

"Come here little guys" I said kneeling down to their level. The wound still hurt a little, but it was nothing I couldn't handle.

"We missed you" Aidan mumbled as they both hugged me.

"I knew you would be okay! Superheros don't give up" Alexander said.

"Yes! You need to remember that when you become a superhero like me, little guy" I said ruffling his hair.

"And always remember to flex your muscles!" Aidan added with a toothy grin.

Ares, who was leaning on the door, gave me a shocked look.

"What are you teaching them?" He mouthed shaking his head.

"What good students you are!" I praised them.

"Okay boys, go play with mommy and your little sis now. Me and uncle Nate need to talk" Ares told them.

They both nodded and walked out.

"We need to find out what happened to your dad" He said crossing his arms.

"Do you want me to go?" Rosy asked pointing at the door.

"No, stay" I said holding her arm. "We will talk about this once I'm out"

"I'll give you two some extra time for now then" He said with a smile.

"Wait, where's Dean?" I asked getting worried, "Is he okay?"

"He's okay, he went to see your mom because she started panicking about you. He'll be back later today. We told him you're awake now" He informed me.

"Okay thank you" I told him before he left. "My mom will definitely want to come see me. I guess you can meet her" I said smiling, "But it's okay if you're not ready" I said when I saw her reaction.

"N-no" She said smiling softly, "I can do it"
