The last bell rang, and I sighed with relief. I picked up my books and shoved them in my backpack, which I slung over my shoulder.

Walking to Alice's bright red car- one of the things that I lacked smarts in was cars, so I had absolutely no idea what type it was-, I debated weather this was actually a good idea. I mean, I had already agreed to the deal that she had proposed, but it wasn't too late to back out now.

"Should I really do this?" I questioned myself under my breath.

"Yes, I made a deal, and I plan on keeping it. I'm not going to back out just because I'm scared of the future," I firmly replied to myself, setting my gaze on the car and continuing on my way there.

Yep, I was defiantly crazy; who else besides crazy people talked to themselves when no one was around?

Alice was by her car waiting for me when I came. She reapplied her lipstick before making sure that no one saw her talking to me-I was still one of the most unpopular people at my school, after all, so she couldn't yet be seen talking to me- and turned to me.

"Get in," she ordered.

I kept my eyes on the pavement as I obeyed. She glares at me for some unknown reason as I close the door and place my bright purple backpack at my feet.

"Okay. We're going over some rules here," she says, starting up the car. I stay silent and listen to her.

"Number one. You do whatever I say, no matter what. I tell you anything, you better do it. Or else," she threatens, and I gulp, nodding my head quickly. She keeps her eyes on the road.

"Number two. Every morning for the first couple days, you drive down to my house early so I can teach you do things about fashion and show you how to do your makeup," she looks my dull outfit up and down, scolding me with her eyes.

"Number three. When we get to my house, give me your phone so that I can enter my phone number in it. I'll text you every morning in the days after you stop coming to my house what to wear and what makeup to put on with it."

"Number four. You ditch that stupid bike of yours, at least when you're riding to school or my house of anywhere. That thing is seriously a disgrace." I bristle as I hear her insult my precious bike, but stay silent, not wanting to get into an argument.

"Number five. You don't let anyone know who you were before, no matter what. Come up with a nickname for your name or something, and don't tell people your last name. You do, the deal is over, and voila, you are exposed for the liar you are, and high school becomes hell for you." I flinch.

"Number six. You have to pretend to hate me. We can't let anyone know about this little plan of ours, can we?" That won't be hard, I think, but thankfully bite my thumb before speaking.

"Number seven. You break any of these rules? You. Will. Regret. It."

I bite my lip before nodding yet again.

"Okay," I reply baring louder than a whisper.

"Good. Now, come. I've got to show you how to look good."
