Monday afternoon...

Ulrich, Mira, Caleb, Asaka, Anthony, Edo, Andrea, and Serena have met up outside the usual Login.

Edo: "So it's just us today?"

Serena: "Yeah, Zack and Cole caught a cold."

Andrea: "Not to mention the fact that everyone else has a busy schedule today."

Asaka: "No point in beating ourselves up over this."

Caleb: "Y-Yeah. Let's go."

The ID Glove users head inside while the ID Cards log in.

A little bit later...

Everyone has logged in and are currently heading for a shop at the edge of town.

Anthony: "Can't wait to see you two on a board."

Mira: "So we get to go server surfing today to get to Rank 2?"

Serena: "Yep. Rank 2 is hiding out in the Alpha server and you need to surf there."

They step inside the shop.

Andrea: "Grab some cheap boards and meet us at the edge of Alpha."

Ulrich: "Can do."

The others leave while the remaining two look around the cheap section of the store.

Mira: "I hope you don't get seasick."

They both grab their boards and dart outside.

Ulrich: "U-Uh I don't get seasick!"

Mira goes ahead while Ulrich shakes at the shore.

Ulrich: "I-I totally don't!"

Ulrich hops onto the board.

Ulrich: "(deep breath) I can do this."

Ulrich starts moving ahead nice and slow.

Ulrich: "I'm coming guys!"

Ulrich charges ahead at full force.

Meanwhile...

Mira joins up with the others at a desert beach at dusk.

Mira: "How're you guys doing?"

Mira hops off her board.

Edo: "Where's Ulrich?"

Mira: "He should be here any second-"

Ulrich arrives by crashing his face straight into the sand and his board flying so far away that it despawns.

Asaka: "Oh there he is."

Ulrich pulls his head out of the sand to awkwardly see everyone staring at him.

Ulrich: "Uh..."

Edo: "Let's uh... let's just go."

They awkwardly trek ahead, leaving Ulrich in the dust.

Ulrich: "W-Wait for me!"

Ulrich tries to catch up.

A short while later...

They're coming up to a canyon of black rocks.

Mira: "So Rank 2 is hiding around here?"

Serena: "If the map is to be believed."

Ulrich starts twirling his wrench in his hand.

Ulrich: "Then let's go ahead and show this boss who's boss!"

Ulrich goes ahead,

Edo: "Says the guy who just had his head buried in the sand."

The other follow.

Asaka: "But this'll be a piece of cake with us around."

Anthony: "(confidentially) Skill is my middle name."

Andrea: "I thought it was Christopher."

Mira: "As hilarious as it is to make fun of Anthony, let's give him a break before he knocks one of us out."

Anthony: "(relieved) Thank y-"

The ground is beginning to rumble.

Edo: "This updated Rank 2 creates earthquakes, right?"

They all ready their weapons.

Caleb: "I-I think so..."

Then Edo and Andrea get sent flying into the sky from behind by a black bull dawning blue armor.

Serena: "You two okay?!"

Their HP was just cut down a fair bit from that.

Edo: "(in pain) Really took a chunk out of my HP, and I'm Lv46!"

Andrea: "Watch out!"

The quakes are causing chunks of the canyon to crumble and try to crush them.

Caleb: "R-Run!"

Two rocks are on top of Caleb and Serena.

Mira: "Move it before-"

Caleb and Serena get completely crushed, forcing them to game over.

Anthony: "Aw great!"

Ulrich sends some drones into the air as Mira gets close.

Asaka: "Now we can't Bio-Link!"

Mira and Ulrich are starting to chip away at it's health.

Ulrich: "What's that?"

Ulrich gets rammed into the gut, but Mira saves him before his heath can drop.

Edo: "Should we or should we not?"

Mira and Ulrich get caught in another quake.

Andrea: "Mira! Swipe your ID Card along the slot in Ulrich's ID Glove!"

Mira: "(shaking) Wh-Why?!"

Asaka: "Just trust us!"

A boulder is about to crush them.

Ulrich: "(shaking) Come on Mira!"

Ulrich holds out his arm.

Mira: "O-On it!"

Mira swipes the card along the slot just before they become crushed, enveloping the two in a black light.

Ulrich: "H-Hey!"

The two are merging in the light.

Anthony: "Why does the new class get the cool color?"

Asaka: "Because black was the main color left?"

The light fades as the boulder disintegrates, leaving behind a body with qualities from both Ulrich and Mira, wielding a wrench giving off the same math as Mira.

Ulrich/ Mira: "What the hell just happened?"

They noticed that they fused.

Ulrich/ Mira: "Wh-What?!"

Andrea: "Bio-Link doesn't last that long! Hit it at full force before you separate!"

The wrench is glowing bright.

Ulrich/ Mira: "On it!"

They charge at the boss full force as they leave behind a trail of mines.

Ulrich/ Mira: "And another one..."

They lodge the wrench in the boss' throat before trying to yank it backwards.

Ulrich/ Mira: "... bites the dust!"

They send the boss flying straight into the mines, causing them to blow up in rapid succession to drain it's health.

Serena: "Nice one!"

Caleb and Serena have returned to the fight just to see it end.

Ulrich/ Mira: "No problem at-"

The two awkwardly separate.

Ulrich: "(awkwardly) ... all."

They're now Lv17.

Caleb: "D-Did you teach them about Bio-Link?"

Edo: "Either that, or we have a boss to retry."

The two are still shaken up by their transformation.

Mira: "That... was weird."

Asaka: "You get used to it as time goes on."

They check the time.

Andrea: "Let's log out."

Serena: "Yeah, you're right."

They all prepare the logout command.

Anthony: "See ya later!"

They all log out...
