After school the next day...

Ulrich and Mira are currently talking about if they should log in or not in front of a Login.

Ulrich: "So do you just want to log in? Everyone else is busy."

Mira: "Why not? Just because we're rookies doesn't mean we can't log in and fight the first boss at least."

Ulrich: "I mean... fair enough."

She pulls out her ID Card.

Mira: "Come on. We've got the time today."

Ulrich pulls out and looks at his ID Glove.

Ulrich: "(sighing) Only doing that today."

Ulrich slips on his glove and heads inside.

Mira: "No need to worry."

Mira logs in.

However...

Zack and William are currently discussing things with a man in a black suit inside of an office several dozen stories in the sky.

Zack: "So yeah, we've got an Engineer and Tactician, Walker."

Walker: "I see..."

Walker is currently typing up something on his computer.

Walker: "Just note that I'm only going to give them Legendary Gem class weapons."

William: "I don't blame you at all. You only just introduced the Eternal Starlight class of weapons."

Walker notices that the two are logged in.

Walker: "Looks like these two are logged in."

Zack: "I thought we agreed that we weren't logging in today!"

Walker: "Didn't you see this a couple other times in your group?

Both let out a sigh.

William: "(sighing) Then we'll go ahead and check on them."

The two awkwardly shuffle towards a nearby room.

Meanwhile...

The both of them are standing in the plaza of the Delta server.

Mira: "So we need to head to the forests here to get this guy?"

Ulrich: "According to the bulletin board."

They both charge straight out of town.

Ulrich: "Also, we're logging out after we're done."

Mira: "Fine by me."

Meanwhile...

Zack and William log in and are currently in the plaza.

William: "Looks like they're already gone."

Zack: "Then let's head over to Rank 1's hideout."

The two give chase.

A little while later...

Mira and Ulrich have arrived at the edge of a clearing surrounded by trees.

Ulrich: "Wow... this place is actually kind of pretty."

They spot a large, crimson armored wolf with a strange, black liquid oozing out of it's mouth.

Mira: "Looks like that's Rank 1."

They both leap into the clearing, immediately catching it's attention.

Ulrich: "This guy's gotten a little upgrade since the old days. He's got a sort of deteriorating drool that'll sap away our health if we stand in it for too long."

They both ready their weapons.

Mira: "You focus on building traps while I keep it busy."

Ulrich starts creating mines.

Ulrich: "Go ahead."

Mira and the boss charge right for each other while Ulrich starts planting the mines.

Mira: "Show me what you've got!"

Mira creates a sort of barrier to defend herself against the attack.

Ulrich: "Mira!"

The ground is starting to deteriorate from the black drool.

Mira: "Do you have your mines all set?"

Ulrich is twirling his rusted wrench in his hand.

Ulrich: "No problem at all."

The wolf rams straight into Ulrich while he wasn't looking, halving his HP in one strike.

Mira: "Hold o-"

Mira steps into one of Ulrich's mines, causing her HP to drop to about a third.

Mira: "(coughing) Yeah that wasn't really a good idea in hindsight."

Ulrich is sent crashing into a nearby tree.

Ulrich: "(in pain) Yeah we're completely fucked."

???: "Go into your inventory now!"

The two get their footing.

Ulrich/ Mira: "Our inventory."

They frantically check their inventories to find two items, an Onyx Wrench for Ulrich, and the Monocle of Death for Mira.

Ulrich: "I'll gladly take it."

They equip the new weapons as the boss starts covering the battlefield in drool. A black pair of goggles for Mira and a wrench giving off a menacing aura for Ulrich.

???: "Hurry!"

Black drones start forming in Ulrich's hand while Mira's math is starting to turn black.

Mira: "Let's see what these bad boys can do!"

The drones hone in and start firing at the boss.

Ulrich: "I like this sort of fighting!"

Ulrich makes some space between him and the boss while Mira charges for it.

Mira: "Where's the nearest bomb?"

Ulrich: "Three feet towards the left."

Mira's math ensnares the boss and begins to rapidly chip away it it's health.

Mira: "(struggling) Have a nice trip!"

Mira tosses the boss into the mine, causing everything to explode and the boss' health to nearly hit zero.

Ulrich: "I'm on it!"

Ulrich crafts a grenade in his hand.

Ulrich: "Hasta la vista!"

He sends the grenade straight into the boss' mouth, killing it instantly.

???: "Not bad at all."

William and Zack step out of the shadows as the newcomers rise to Lv11.

Mira: "How'd you know we logged in?"

Zack: "We were having a meeting with Walker about giving you two Legendary Gem weapons when he discovered that you two were online."

Ulrich: "Oh..."

The wind signifies this awkward science.

William: "We'r not mad, but it would've been nice to have everyone watch your first fight."

Mira: "Your problem, not ours."

William and Zack awkwardly look at each other.

Zack: "(awkwardly) Yeah, even Cole says things about her like that."

William: "(awkwardly) Y-Yeah..."
