Chapter Two
*Your P.O.V.*
The flowers I was able to snatch from the Phantomhive manor where selling much faster than the usual ones I am able to get my hands on. I even had them arranged in bouquets, which sold for even more.
If I am lucky, I'll actually manage to get enough for a hot meal.
"My Lord don't those flowers look awfully familiar," I heard a male voice say behind me.
Not thinking anything of it, I instantly turned around to make my pitch. "Yes, these are beautifully home-grown flowers made into extravagant bouquets."
However, when I turned around, I saw Ciel Phantomhive himself, who was followed by a much taller adult male.
Oh shit, act natural (Y/N).
"Are you interested in buying a bouquet for a special someone?" I asked, acting natural.
Maybe he won't notice.
"You claim these are home-grown?" the adult male behind Ciel asked.
"Yes of course," I lied.
"Funny, how is it that a poor commoner would have the money to grow such exquisite flowers?" Ciel spat.
Yep, they were onto to me...
I dropped the basket full of bouquets and ran down the street.
"Sebastian, capture her," Ciel muttered, as I ran.
I tried to keep the tall slim male off of my trail by taking as many random cuts and turns down the ally ways. Truth be told, I still didn't know the area that well. I was considerably new to London.
I took another sharp turn. I had to admit that the man behind me was fast, almost inhumanly fast; I knew that I wouldn't be able to keep a lead for much longer. I turned the ally once more, only to be cut off by a brick wall.
Shit.
"I must admit, you are very quick," the man behind me said.
"H-how are you able to keep up like that? No one—"
"I am simply one hell of a butler," the man smirked.
Ciel shortly came running down the corner, a bit out of breath.
"What took so long?!?" Ciel yelled at his butler.
"My apologized, my Lord. She is rather quick," the butler apologized.
Ciel glared at me. "Who do you think you are coming into my garden and stealing my flowers?"
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to eat. You have really nice flowers," I argued back.
Ciel didn't look like he was through with yelling at me, but Sebastian suggested his own solution. "My Lord, maybe she could repay us with her services. Like I said before, she is rather quick. I would love to see what other skills she has to offer."
"What are you suggesting? She stays are the manor?" Ciel laughed.
"I think she could be useful like Finny or Bard," the butler responded.
"Fine," Ciel cynically grinned. "But she needs to be trained, and she is your responsibility."
"Wait, I am not coming with you," I argued.
"You are stealing flowers to pay for food. I think you should reconsider your attitude before the young master changes his mind," the butler stated.
I shivered at his words. There was something about this butler that was rather strange. There was something threating about him.
All I could do was nod and follow the two.
