Oh sit (4th)

"I told her so many times you were a revenant, a vampire and a zombie, she doesn't by any of it, she thinks you're just like her little fetish buddies" Phill whisper loudly behind his hand.

The pair laughed again.

"Child, why do you think you're here" Calci asked.

" I told you" Phill interrupted.

"You offered to be a blood drinking freaks donor, because you find this kinky?" Calci asked through laughter upon receiving no responses from her bewildered new guest.

Phyllis failed to respond again.

"Be honest Calci, she's is a good find" Phil stated as he composed herself, slightly.

"Oh totally" Calci agreed "Healthy, knowledge of today's outside world, a low maintenance beauty and best of all, willing" she finished before looking Phyllis up and down.

Phyllis stiffened further, this time, her wide-eyed terrified gaze met Calci.

"You are willing aren't you? Consensual?" Calci asked.
"Oh relax child, I'm no predator" she said before nudging Phil "Phil, in the 40 odd years we've known each other, how many times have I threatened you?".

"None" he replied boldly.

"See that, none! He's one of many donors I've had over the years like you, he's free to up and leave any time" Calci claimed.

Phyllis slightly nodded, though her fearful expression failed to change.

"Phil. Do you not have other duties to be tending to today?" Calci asked as she turned her entire frame to face Phil sat on the floor beside her.

"Plenty to do" he replied, composing himself quickly as he got the message "I, better be off" he claimed as he stood.

Phyllis's terrified gaze shifted to Phil, who was about to pass her.

"It's alright, don't worry" Phil assured Phyllis.

"Go with him if you want" Calci offered as Phill left.

Phyllis remained.
"No" she slowly spoke "I want to help".

"Try and relax, I don't bite.. without consent anyway" Calci relayed as she quietly added the last part.

"Is that so" Phyllis uttered under her breath.

"Been the case for hundreds of years" Calci responded.

Phyllis looked a little less uneasy; Calci looked to her and picked this up.

"Phyl, I want to put you at ease" she patted the floor space Phil had vacated "sit with me" she ordered.

Phyllis stiffened again and seemingly regressed to her previous state of fear, though she moved, slowly, scooting over towards her host.

"NOW" Calci snapped, though apparently devoid of anger, still, this startled Phyllis, who jumped and instantly complied with a hasty crawl.

Sat on her knees, Phyllis looked tense.

"Ask me anything" Calci offered.

Phyllis awkwardly shrugged.

"OK, I'll start..." Calci offered "what exactly is a chav?" Calci enquired.

Phyllis looked that bit more uncomfortable upon this question being asked, she shifted a bit and remained quiet.

"Well..." Calci probed.

"Why did you name your shop 'Rosie's Posies'" Phyllis rushed out, shifting the subject.

"The name's in honour of my dear friend Rosetta, a wise woman who knows nature well" Calci answered with smile directed above her.

"Actually, I had posies in mind, posies are small bunches of flowers, something I haven't seen throughout the premises" Phyllis claimed flatly "and quite insensitive to those who have experienced deadly disease"

"Me and my girlies bonded over many of pestilence" Calci claimed but was soon silenced as suddenly, there was a loud pounding at the shed door.

Phyllis screamed.

Calci looked at her unfazed.

"Cal', I'm signing off arrangment number 9 for an emergency funeral" a voice shouted through the closed door.

"That's fine Channel" Calci replied.

Phyllis's closed fist rested between her large bust, she mildly panted.

"The colour has drained out face" Calci stated "I also hear you're heartbeat" she continued "Do you know, if the likes of me fed from you now, you'd be in serious danger".

Phyllis gulped, her eyes shifted towards Calci at her side; she remained silent.

"You're supposed to be this balanced and well seasoned New Ager; yet nothing has happened to, and you're panicking" Calci relayed in a faux nurturing manner.

"I am balanced" Phyllis managed.

"Doubtful" Calci claimed.

"And I'm very well seasoned" Phyllis added firmly, gaining some momentum.

"Well, I'm not too sure, and I was hoping a new, ready, wise ally on the outside, not one in need of years of growth" Calci said sadly.

The two sat in silence; the silence seemed awkward for Phyllis, who had an expression that looked to be a mixture of unease and annoyance, the silence however didn't seem to phase Calci.

A closed eyed Calci broke their silence "You know, you don't have to stay, you're not obligated to mix with me".

"What makes you think I feel obligated, to you" Phyllis snapped.

"I haven't had a donor like you before" Calci claimed, ignoring Phyllis' question.

"Female" Phyllis said sternly.

"Oh, nah, I've had plenty of ladies" Calci answered "I'm referring to you attitude"

"You mean intellect" Phyllis replied in a petulant manner.

"Listen to yourself" she stated as she stood up and walked towards the exit "think about our chats and remember how jumpy you've been, then tell yourself you're bright and balanced" Calci said over her shoulder as she pulled the door open to leave.

Clearly frazzled, Phyllis shouted "What! Hang on, where are you going?" as she frantically scrambled to get up, though she struggled.

"I need to prepare number 9" Calci replied as she left.
