Sunset Hues

Bright pink, yellow and red,

can't forget the moments we shared,

under a sky of rainbow delight,

a golden orb descending with might.

Pale orange. lime and teal,

dipping rays and drowning zeal,

as my hopes lie in a hearse,

can a sunset get any worse?

A darker red and navy blue,

I so cherish the times when me and you,

we would laugh under a fiery sky,

it was a sunset of joy so high.

Glimmering green and orange wetter,

and as the postman delivers your long love letter,

a smile spreads across my face,

as I imagine your return; our embrace,

could a sunset get any better?
