(A month later)
I went out again to get high and drunk at my friend, Joseph's house.
He was having another party.
"Please don't go out again." Josh pleaded.
"Sorry, Josh." I replied before leaving.
"Kyle!" A clearly drunk Joseph called from his car.
"Get in the passenger seat, Joseph, you're drunk already, I'm driving." I told him.
"Fine." He replied.
I got in and drove my friend home.
"I do have a name y'know." Joseph slurred.
"Mhm." I hummed.
"It's Dan." He sighed. "You keep calling me by my last name."
"Oh." I replied, kind of shocked that after this long of knowing him I just found out.
"We're hereeeee." Dan got out of the car once we got to his house.
You could hear the music outside of the house.
I got out and confidently walked into the house.
"Yo, Kyle, want any weed?" A tall guy asked.
Of course I smoked some.
Some girl handed me a drink after a while.
I put it down and grabbed my own.
She frowned, "he ruined my plans." I could hear her mutter.
Must've been drugged.
I drank a lot that night.
Soon enough I decided to stop.
If I ever wanted to get home I'd have to at least sober up enough to ask Josh to pick me up.
It took a while but I finally felt sober enough to ask Josh.
Of course he said yes.
I yawned.
"Anyone picking you up, baby?" A guy who only looked about five years older than me asked.
I nodded.
He smiled, "I could get you home sooner." He grabbed my arm, "I like it rough."
I choked, "uh, no thanks."
"Kyle, get over here!" I heard Josh yell over the music.
"I gotta go." I told the guy and left towards where I heard Josh.
They pulled me out of the house and to their car.
Once we were in they turned to me, "why do you do this to yourself?"
I shrugged, "I don't know what else to do. It makes me feel good."
Josh sighed. "Temporary fixes aren't always good."
"Feels good." I mumbled.
