(Unknown POV)

The first thing that I realize is that I'm steadily getting warmer. Not the coolness that I had felt moments ago. As I heat back up, it becomes easier to move. I feel myself shifting and moving into a shape. Once it stops, I feel that I'm up against a cool surface. What is it? Why is it so smooth? I open my newly formed eyes to see that I'm at the bottom of a bucket. Why am I so small? Wasn't I higher up? I look down at myself to see that I'm shaped into a figure with arms and legs. I feel my face and almost poke myself in the eye.

But what happened to my glow? I start to panic, and the heat inside me flares up. The tan surface of my arm flares up to the orange glow of lava. I calm down again, and it turns back to skin. So I'm still lava? But what happed to me? Why am I like this now? The questions cause my skin to change to lava in multiple spots on my arms and the side of my face. Then I see cloth covering up most of my new body. They touch the lava on my body, but don't burn. I like the colors, all black. Very different from my lava glow. I'm different now. But is it a bad different?

I stand up on shaky legs to see that I'm only as tall as half the bucket. How am I suppose to get out? A wild sence within me tells me to leave, that I shouldn't be trapped anywhere. That I'm the one shaping the tides. I look up a the top of the bucket at the freedom just above the rim. Can I use lava to get out? I mentally beg my right arm to heat up, and it does. My arm gets so hot that little drops of lava drip off. The drops go over to the side of the bucket and build a thin strand up to the top. As thin as a spider's web, it will still help me get out. The rest of me heats up to excruciating temperatures, and falls into a puddle. My vision disappears, replaced with sensing the heat of my lava rope. The puddle that I had turned into crawls over to the rope and merges into it. At the top rim of the bucket, my lava takes shape and I materialize at the top. The thin strand of lava flows back into my arm, and I cool down enough for my skin to replace lava. I have to admit, I could never do that before. Maybe whatever happened to me wasn't so bad.

I jump down onto the block underneath the bucket. I walk forward, only to hit an invisible forcefield. I bang on it, only to create a knocking sound. No one can cage me! I control where you go. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice a sheet of paper taped beyond the forcefield. How I can read, I have no clue, but written on it was the words 'Test #305: failure'. Am I an experiment? A failure. At least I have some kind of name for my self, 305. My palms heat up, and I press them to the invisible surface. A hole instantly melts away, marked by a glowing ring.

I jump down and temporarily splat into a puddle when I hit the ground. The floor is stone, unlike the iron that I couldn't melt. I'm not hot enough to melt iron. My shape reforms and I run over to the next pedestal. The invisible forcefield covers the top, but I can just make out another bucket inside. Did they really try to make something like me 304 other times? A chill goes up my nonexistent spine as I creep past a few more pedestals. An iron door bars my way out of the room. My palm heats up, and I slightly diminish in size as a lava ball forms in my hand. I throw it up onto the button hooked up to the door. The door swing open, and I quickly run through.

I stop and gaze around at the long hallway stretching in front and behind me. How big is this place? Footsteps break the silence, and I quickly hide behind a stand with a potted plant. A man wearing a white lab coat walks down the hall, looking at a clipboard. He stops in front of the room I was in, and steps inside. My mind panics as I realize that the lava splatter from my lava ball would of left marks that burnt into the floor. As if to confirm my horror, the man yells and runs back out, shouting, "It worked! Test 305 worked, but has escaped! Lockdown the building!". My heart drops at the words, and many more shouts sound throughout the building. This just got a whole lot harder.
