Next Day:

Jesse: You guys ready to ride the jet skis?

Sarah & Al: Yeah!

A car comes by. It's Mike & Joe.

Jesse: What do they want?

Al: Hey! You wanna ride the jet skis with us?

Joe walks up to Jesse while he is getting the jet ski ready.

Joe: What you did last night was immature.

Jesse: But legal.

Joe: What's your problem with us anyways?

Jesse: Look, I don't care if you're friends with my mom, but stay away from me. I know you don't like me, you don't have to pretend to in front of her.

Joe: We're just trying to get to know you.

Jesse: By treating me like a suspect of one of your cases?

Joe: We got off to a bad start. How about we just stay out each other's way?

Jesse: That's fine with me.

Joe leaves to see Sarah & Al.

Helen comes out.

Helen: You here to hang out with the kids?

Joe: Sure. We'll take them for a spin.

Helen: Jesse! Bring out another two jet skis for Mike & Joe.

Jesse looks at Joe.

Joe smiles.

Helen: Need the keys?

She throws the keys to him.

Mike: Nice catch.

Jesse goes to get the other jet skis ready.

Jesse: Leonard, can you lock the boathouse?

Leonard: Right away Master Williams.

Jesse: Thanks.

Joe walks up to Jesse.

Jesse: I thought we were staying away.

Joe: I am....I'm hanging out with your brother & sister, not you.

Jesse smiles and shakes his head.

Jesse: Anyways....make sure you turn on the engine AFTER it's in the water. And....

Joe: Yeah, yeah. We know how to ride jet skis.

Jesse: Yeah, we'll see. Most importantly, don't leave Sarah & Al on the jet skis alone. Make sure everyone wears vests, and fasten the emergency cut off.

Joe: Don't worry.

Jesse: Ok. We're ready to go.

They all start their engines.

Jesse: Think you can keep up?

Joe: We're not cops for nothing.

Jesse rides off. They're impressed. They follow. Mike & Al are to his left.

Mike: He's pretty fast on that thing.

Al: Yeah. He's gonna jump the ramp, too.

Jesse does a few spins, and some wave jumps. Then, he gains speed to go up the ramp. He jumps the ramp and let his legs fly. Everyone cheers. He stops and waits for the rest. Joe & Sarah arrive.

Joe: That was real cool.

Jesse: Thanks. Where are the rest?

Sarah: They're back there.

They hear someone screaming. They look to find out it is Al on the jet ski.

Al: Help, Jesse! I can't stop it.

He comes right at Jesse's jet ski. Jesse jumps off before Al's jet ski hits him.

His jet ski was hit, and wouldn't turn on. So, he and Joe follow Al with the other jet ski.

Jesse: Hold on to the handles. Keep them straight (to Al).

Joe gets closer to Al's jet ski while Jesse jumps on. He takes control.

Jesse: How did you end up riding it alone?

Al: We stopped because Mike went down to do something. I just wanted to try it. I didn't know it was that fast, and hard to control.

Jesse: What could've been so important that he left you unattended, with the engine running and no emergency cut off?

Joe: At least nobody got hurt.

Jesse: My jet ski won't turn on.

Mike comes running towards them.

Mike: I only left for less than a minute, and he was already gone. Is everyone ok?

Sarah: Yeah. Except for Jesse's jet ski.

Jesse: Don't worry about it. I'll get it fixed (Giving Mike a dirty look).

Jesse goes to look for any missing parts and pulls the jet ski out of the water.

Jesse: Well, now you can scratch destroy a jet ski off your list.

Joe: What's wrong with it?

Jesse: I don't know. I'll figure it out later. I'm going inside to change.

He goes inside to change.

Sarah: Let's go inside.

Jesse comes down.

Jesse: Have you guys seen mom?

Leonard: Master Williams, your mother has gone out, and will be back as soon as she could. She said to listen to Mike & Joe.

Jesse: Listen to Mike & Joe (repeating). Ok. Mom has lost it. She just left us with two strangers. Oh look, and they're armed, too.

Mike: We're not strangers.

Jesse: You're not babysitters either.

Joe: That's our new case.

Jesse: Your chief must be proud.

Mike: He is....Can't you tell?

Jesse thought about that sentence.

Jesse: Wait, you're the chief? (Laughing).

Joe: Yep.

Jesse: Then your department is either off duty, or babysitting all the time.

Joe: Very funny.

Mike: You'll be seeing us a lot this summer.

Jesse: What? You're gonna move in? (sarcastically).

Helen: Actually, you'll be moving in (walking in). I'm leaving the country for a while, and you'll be staying at Joe's.

Jesse: WHAT?! Why can't we just stay here like every year?

Helen: Because Joe offered to keep an eye on you guys.

Jesse: Of course he did. That doesn't make sense. He has a job to do, so he won't be around anyways.

Helen: Think of it as a long sleepover.

Jesse: Oh it's going to be long alright.

Al: It's going to be awesome.

Sarah: When are we going?

Helen: This Friday (smiling).

Jesse's phone rings. He walks away and answers. It's Brandon.

Brandon: Hey, man! I'm around the corner.

Jesse: I'm coming.

He hangs up. He walks outside.

Brandon: Anything interesting lately?

Jesse: You have no idea. I'll show you. Come inside.

They walk in.

Jesse: You guys remember Brandon.

Brandon: What's up.

Jesse: We'll be in the game room. Let's take the elevator (To Brandon).

They go up the elevator.

Brandon: Looks like they're here to stay.

Jesse: Worse! We're the ones who'll be staying.

Brandon: What do you mean?

They walk out of the elevator.

Jesse: We'll be staying at Joe's while mom's out of the country.

Brandon: What about every year?

Jesse: I don't know. I'm telling ya she's lost it. She left the house today without even telling us.

Brandon: With them two?

Jesse: Yep.

Brandon: That reminds me of the movie "The Pacifier".

Jesse: Yeah, taken to a whole new level.

Jesse: Forget that right now....remember playing all these games?

Brandon: Those were the times. We didn't have to worry about anything.

Jesse: We'd spend all day here. Sometimes even days just to beat a game.

Brandon: I miss playing all the Mario games.

Jesse: Kids these days don't know what good games are. They just wanna shoot zombies.

Brandon: Do you even play any of these anymore?

Jesse: Only some. I don't have time to play.

Brandon: Let's play all we can.

Jesse: Where do you wanna start?

Brandon: Let's hit the arcade games first.

Jesse: Let's race.

They each take a seat.

Brandon: I haven't done this for a while.

Jesse: You would still lose anyways.

Brandon: That's true (Both laughing)....Hey....uh....how much more time do you have to live?

Jesse: Today and tomorrow.

Brandon: Stay strong.

Jesse: I'll survive.
