Apologies
3rd Person pov
When arrived at Olympus, the activity changed as everyone let out a small gasp and started packing up. Like the campers, he forged on and all the wide eyed nymph eyes bounced off him like beach balls. They did nothing to him. To many nymphs and minor female deities, he was the perfect man. His skin, tanned due to sensitivity to the sun immediately after the humid Tartarus air glowed as if he were shaped from gold. His hair, windswept as always gave him a naturally handsome look. His sea green eyes, shining like beacons, were objects you could get lost in. His body, well muscled due to years of fighting monsters, strode on with confidence. To anyone that didn't know who he was, he could have been Zeus in disguise. He was Zeus's only rival in looks.
Percy's POV
I ignored the gasps, swoons and sighs as I marched into the great hall. 'Zeus!' I yelled. Immediately the gods started teleporting into the hall. Amazing how I call one person and get a full house. (Or should I say Amazhang OK ill stop.) I ignored Ares' glares and explained the dangers. 'I got a message dream from Pontus, where he stated that the war we were training for was against him. He also said to tell you that he has begun the war. Somehow, without telling me, he left a message saying where and what the first battlefield will be.'
'And where is that?' Zeus asked.
'Mount Olympus' came the reply.
'He would launch a direct frontal attack on us?' Ares asked, forgetting his anger.
'No. He plans on cutting Olympus in half. Like how you did to mount othrys. He is going to attack the beginning of the Greek civilization. I have no idea what that will do, but is sounds bad' Percy said.
The Big Three exchanged knowing glances.
'Wait. You know something don't you? You have to tell me! Please!' Percy cried.
'Thank you for the message Perseus. I think it is time for your training classes' Zeus said calmly.
'No please. PLEASE!' he yelled and the hall rumbled through his power, until he was forcefully flashed out.
'Goddamn it!' Percy screamed with frustration, earning him puzzled looks from the campers.
As he sat on his bunk in the Poseidon cabin, he wondered what he was facing. Unknown threats were the worst.
There was a bright light suddenly and Poseidon appeared, looking more tired than the second Titan war. He walked up to Percy, and Percy looked away and buried his head in his hands as an attempt to wipe away his tears.
'My son' Poseidon said, and that was all Percy needed to get worked up.
'Really? So I'm your son now. What happened to "my son" when he needed you 2 years ago. What happened when I had to survive knowing you hated me for 120 years. What happened when I FREAKING BEGGED YOU TO KILL ME!' he screamed the last part.
Poseidon looked into Percy's eyes, and said 'I apologize, Percy, but at that moment we had really strong evidence.'
'So what happened to the evidence? Did it magically disappear now that I have to save your sorry butts again? Do you want to gloat? Do you want to sing the "My son saved the world three times" song? Why should I even help you? So that you can throw me in-in there again?' Percy was practically throwing knives at Poseidon, his words were that sharp.
'No son, I worked day and night after your banishment to bring you back and when I finally proved the evidence wrong, Zeus's ego comes in and suddenly Zeus doesn't want to get embarrassed of being wrong, that airhead' Poseidon said.
There was a distant rumble of thunder outside.
Percy's eyes stung. He didn't know his father cared. He didn't even know what to say, so he just stared at the wall like a dumb person. 'Percy please forgive me, I love you!' Poseidon tried.
'I'm sorry but I don't think I'm ready yet... Dad' he forced out.
Poseidon sighed. 'Well I'm just happy you understand. Once again, I'm sorry.' Poseidon turned to leave.
'Wait! Can you tell me what you know about Pontus's plan.' Percy stopped Poseidon. 'I'm sorry Percy, but I cant tell you' Poseidon looked genuinely upset. With another bright flash, he disappeared leaving the smell of salt water in his wake. Percy stood up.
He had decided to go to the beach. That always calmed him down. When he got there, he was surprised to see Annabeth there too. She turned to him and saw his expression. For some reason, that made her smile.
'Wondering why I came here, right' she asked. Percy nodded dumbly (is that a word?) 'Ever since you got banished, I came here. It was the only thing that made me feel attached you.'
She said.
Percy mouthed 'oh' and looked down.
'I'm sorry for running earlier, its just that seeing you over Alex didn't seem right. It scared the crap out of me.' She said.
'I'm sorry' Percy said.
'I missed you, seaweed brain' she replied.
That was all he needed. He moved in to kiss her and pulled her into the water, using it to create a platform that went out to the sea so that they were alone. As they kissed, a huge wave crashed onto them, surprising Percy and sending him toppling into the water, dropping Annabeth into the water suddenly.
He didn't resurface
