Still Percy's POV

I could feel that they were a little mad that I wouldn't join one of them, but I knew that it would go away with time, and it would turn into gratitude. Ash eventually came out if it first. 

"What's your name" he asked and I was shocked. I had never thought of a new name, and I didn't want to say my current one because I wanted to forget it forever and get a new name like I got a new body. 

I don't know I said and turned to him as I walked with Bonnie on my back having gone to sleep why not you all give me one. I could see that they were very excited, and for the rest of the walk to the city we, well, Ash talked about different names. All of which I didn't like due to them connecting to another Pokemon in some way and I felt Bonnie wake up. I twisted my neck around to look at her and she yawned and gazed on past my head and then lay back down, and was asleep for the rest of the night. The others set up their tents and went in them, all but Ash who was watching the dark forest with wonder and thought. We had stopped next to yet another beach with a medium sized lake. 

"Retribution" Ash suddenly said and I looked at him in confusion "your name, I thought that it would be cool if your's was Retribution." I smiled showing teeth and all at the new name that I was given, and then I blew a puff of purple gas at his face and he collapsed unconscious. I grabbed his shirt with my paw and dragged him into his Pikachu tent and the actual Pikachu yawned and crawled on top of him before falling asleep again. I padded over to the sea thinking about what I was going to do, and then I saw a bright pillar of light about three miles ahead. I shot into the air and watched at three more came on and I watched in the air as they seemed to get a stadium ready in the night. They were really fast builders and at first it confused me, but then I remembered that this world had the help of Pokemon with powers to help them do things...like construction. 

They were finished at midnight, and I noticed that my muscles were starting to tire, so I hovered down and then stretched my sore muscles before curling up and closing me eyes. 

3rd POV

Ash woke up to the light of dawn and Pikachu also yawned on Ash's chest and hopped off as Ash sat up. He went outside and noticed that everyone else was asleep. Besides Alain and his Pokemon which were training on the beach with Retribution watching them. He went over and watched them as well. 

Charizard used Dragon-Claw and Metagross used Power Punch and they met in the middle of the air and stayed there, and then Retribution opened it's mouth and shot a giant blast of plasma. It connected and they both started to fall to the ground before flipping over in the air and landing right-side up on the ground and looking at Retribution in annoyance and Ash was wide-mouthed in shock, and so was Alain. Retribution stood and walked into the middle of the arena and stood there looking between Metagross and Charizard, and then it looked at Ash. 

Get out your Greninja and Pikachu it said and soon Greninja and Pikachu were in-front of Ash and facing Retribution in confusion with Ash next to Alain now the reason that I did what I did was because you need to be able to react quickly and gracefully, even in surprise. You need to be able to move swiftly and like a river when needed, especially in surprise, and you need to be able to strike in that time when they are least expecting it. The trials are in three days and we are going to be training out here for that period of time until I believe you are ready enough. 

"How are we going to learn this in three days" Alain asked and Retribution smiled

Through three days of rough and continous training for both you and your Pokemon it said and got into a ready stance without it's armor now come at me. Both of them looked at each-other in confusion and then a couple words later the five Pokemon and the trainers were battling. Trying to land a hit on Retribution for hours, and once the others woke up they came over and watched the battle go on. Ash and Alain soon became frustrated that they couldn't touch or get close to Retribution. Greninja and Ash turned to their bond ability and Charizard mega evolved due to Alain and Pikachu and Metagross stood next to them waiting as Alain and Ash talked with Retribution watching patiently from the other side. It seems to have gotten better and it was tiresome for them both. 

"We can't get close enough" Ash said and Alain agreed. Both of them and their Pokemon were tired and breathing heavily. A storm gathered up above them all and Retribution smiled as it triggered the healing rainstorm for everyone. It faded as soon as it came and Ash and Alain were shocked that it would help them. 

"What did he just do" Ash asked Alain and he shrugged 

"I don't know" he said 

I used my natural powers to heal you and your Pokemon to make you more energized and stronger as a team, but the rainstorm will not go away and in turn makes all water types stronger and heals them and all other things in the arena it said and then something different happened as it spoke. A blue-green glow encircled it's body and it's skin turned aqua-blue, it's face got narrower, more water like with long sea-green whiskers coming from it's mouth. Retribution's feet became thicker, and webbed with green striped, blue three inch claws. It's body turned thinner, sleeker, and more defined as a swimming, or water, creature. Retribution's eyes stayed the same Sea-green that they were first.

Ash and Alain were shocked, but Retribution didn't seem to notice because it continued to talk I watched as you two separated in your attacks in hopes of simply overwhelming me and confusing me, but that didn't work as you found out. So instead try to look for the weak-spots in my movements, my attacks, and my defenses as a team. It watched the two, looking through their Pokemon, as they talked to each-other. Finally Ash and Alain came to an agreement and Ash told Pikachu to use Thunderbolt and Greninja to use cut, and Alain told Charizard to wait and use flamethrower on his mark, but had Metagross shoot forward in Meteor Mash. 

Retribution dodged to the side from the Lightning bolt and used water cannon to blast Greninja away, and it jumped over Metagross as it came towards it, and looked around only counting three attacks. Greninja came around again and Retribution dodged it, and looked to the left in time to see a pillar of fire coming in it's direction. It dropped to the ground as the plume of blue fire came overhead and was so focused on not getting burned and hit by Cut and Flame-thrower that it didn't hear Alain and Ash's orders with the other two Pokemon. Metagross came in with a Meteor Mash and rammed right into Retribution's side making them both fly into the ground and then a Lightning Bolt connected with Retribution on his snout and racked through it's entire body as the Metagross flew back to it's spot and as Pikachu discharged the lightning bolt. 

Retribution's mind went back to it's early years in Tartarus when Kronus had stuck him into poisoned water as a human and then Promotheus had electrocuted him in the water as he drowned. Then the memory switched to the recent one when he was hooked up to that machine and electrocuted once again, and Retribution's eyes and body started to glow a deadly Aqua color and it's eyes glowed silver as it focused all of it's power into one big blast and Ash and Alain's eyes went wide as it gathered a giant plasma ball of water, electricity, fire, and dark power and slammed it into the beach making the match end. It still glowed with power and anger as it sank into the ocean with Pikachu, Metagross, Greninja, and Charizard already having been healed by the rain after they were knocked out. The storm dissipated after Retribution sank under the waves of the lake, and the two boys that were battling him looked at him in confusion and amazement because he just destroyed them in one move. There was a green flash under the water as Retribution phased and returned to it's normal form. 

"What happened" Ash said wondering why and how it got angry all of the sudden, and Alain just turned and walked off with his Charizard de-morphing and returning to normal before following him off. 

"He has had a bad past" he said as he pocketed Metagross' ball, and walked to a tree at the edge of the path that had heart-shaped fruit growing on it. Alain grabbed two and gave one to Charizard before walking to the other side and sitting against a tree and eating. Ash did the same for him and Pikachu, before going to his tent and eating while he packed up. Bonnie, Clemont, and Serena just stood there confused as to what happened, and then their confusion dissipated and they packed up their stuff, Serena made breakfast for the others, and they went on their way to the city. Serena and Clemont insisted on waiting for Retribution to come out, but Alain suggested otherwise because it needed to cool down due to it's bad before life, or, past.
