Chapter 5
Edited - May 22, 2024
Peacemaker flapped his wings with boredom as they finally reached Pantala, and were greeted by weird, rainbow dragons, like Rainwings, but their colors were relievingly more mellow.
"Hi, Blue!" Turtle shouted, swooping down. "We made it."
An azure-blue dragon pushed through the crowd. "Hey, Turtle, at least this time you didn't wound in the Poison Jungle!" Blue joked.
Turtle snorted.
Webs groaned, stretching his wings. "Whoo, haven't flown for that long in a millenia." He sighed. "Alright, on with the introductions," he gestured to Tsunami.

"Alright. Students, listen up. There are three tribes on this continent, the Leafwings, Silkwings, and Hivewings," she started, pointing out each tribe.
"The Queen of the Hivewings is Queen Jewel, the Leafwings by Queen Sequoia, and—I'm actually not sure who the Silkwings are ruled by," Tsunami said, gazing expectantly at Blue.
"We kind of made this thing where there's no leader, but there is a group of dragons who decides those big decisions and stuff," Blue explained. "The group consists of me, Luna, Swordtail, and Tau."
Swordtail snorted.
"Yes. Tau." Blue glared at him. "Come on, let me show you where you will stay tonight. The webs are very comfortable," he added in a sweeter tone to the students.
Blue had led them into a patch of grass, with nothing, nothing to live in, eat, or sleep in.
"You can build your own homes," Blue said, "Tsunami thought it would be a good idea for you to work together and explore the island."
Tsunami, of course it was Tsunami. Peacemaker sighed.
"Alright, that also means that you need groups," Tsunami mused. "Ok, so, Peacemaker, you're going with Macaw," she started, and Macaw gave him a big grin.
"We'll be the best group, right?" Macaw nudged him.
"Yeah!" Peacemaker said enthusiastically.
"How about we build a tree house?" Macaw said, her talons twitching as if she was desperate to get moving. "We have those in the rainforest."
"Oh, and I forgot to tell you," Tsunami bellowed. "You have to use silk!"
"Neeeevermind," Macaw mumbled. "But that's fine!" she spread her wings and took a talonful of silk, heading towards the trees. Peacemaker tugged off a cloud of silk, flapping his wings frantically to catch up.
He found Macaw in the foot of a palm tree, weaving the silk in strong ropes,
"Wow, you're good at this!" Peacemaker said.
Macaw looked shy. "I did this at home, but with leaves instead, but this works too. Help me make some planks," she said. "Clay gave me a knife, so you can carve things."
Peacemaker nodded, taking the knife and working on a fallen tree nearby.

Peacemaker pumped his wings as he and Macaw carried the roof in their talons and placed it on the treehouse.
"Do you want windows?" Peacemaker suggested. "And a door," he added.
Macaw nodded. "I'll get some more silk," she said, and flew off.
Peacemaker sighed and stabbed his knife on the side of the treehouse and began carving a door. He kicked at it, and the wood popped into the house, making a door. Peacemaker flew in the house and pushed the wood off, and began working on a window.
"Nice!" Moon said, flying up to the treehouse with Macaw. "Ooh, you should make a hammock too, that would be fun," he said, sticking his head into the house. "And bedding," he said. "THe silk is pretty soft though," he said, patting the floor. "How is this not falling off?" he asked, pushing at it, but it wouldn't budge.
"It's stuck between the branch and the trunk," Macaw explained. "And we shoved some silk in the empty places under it," she added. Peacemaker nodded.
"Great," Moon said. "I'll help you get some bedding, and then It will be time for dinner," he said.
Macaw nodded. "I'll stay and make the hammock," she said. "I'll use banana leaves though, is that ok?" she asked.
Moon nodded. "Of course, Tsunami doesn't need to know," he winked.
