(11th December, 2006) Letty's POV

So turns out Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. Which is great. It saved her from the pack and now they see she isn't evil or dangerous. Just like I knew she wouldn't be. She is still growing quickly though and is very smart. She looks like a five or six year old now. She can eat blood or human food. She is very beautiful, she is stronger and faster then the average human. But more fragile then a vampire and she can blush. She also has a heart beat. We're all still looking for answers about what she is and how long she will live. Scared, we'll lose her.

Bella is now a newborn vampire. But has amazing self control. Which is great, it means I can still see her and Renesmee. Though Bella's eyes still freak me out a little, even though they are becoming less red each week. It doesn't appear she has a gift, though Edward still can't read her mind. Like when she was human. She loves their new house.

What else has happened in the last nine weeks? Oh, Embry and Quil joined Jake's pack. Which Leah is now beta of and Embry is third in command. Jake and Sam now have a truce, but the packs are still split. Paul is relieved that Mason and I are ok. Along with my future daughter. He still isn't dating Rachel, but she is now developing feelings for him. So it's only a matter of time. Which hurts as always. But I sort of feel numb to it now. Embry and Leah have been a big help.

I still pray I'll find someone to love me and only me. Alice suggested a girls night out. But I am a week away from my third trimester. Who'd want to dance with me? Let alone date me? So I am just focusing on the move in the new year and preparing for my future daughter. Along with Mason and Rocky.

Speaking of my future daughter. I am now twenty-seven weeks pregnant. Little Aquila is growing well. Mason already seems to adore her. He is always hugging my belly saying he loves her. It's so adorable. He has grown up a lot too. He's started to learn to count, the alphabet and how to tell colours apart. Thank god he has my brains when it comes to learning and not Paul's. Paul was always just an average student. Where as I was top in most classes.

Anyway, we're getting off track. Enough talk of the past. Lets get back to the present. Leah, Jacob, Mason and I are in a snowy meadow. With Bella and Renesmee, who is catching snowflakes. While Mason is playing in the snow with little Rocky. Who is now seven months old and is in grade on in obedience training. Leah is in wolf form around them, protecting them from the wind.

Renesmee is showing Bella and I the snowflake she had just caught. "Look a snowflake" she tells us proudly.

"Wow, that's beautiful Renesmee" I tell her with a smile. Bella nos her head in agreement.

"Why don't you go get another one" Bella suggests. Renesmee smiles and runs to the center of the meadow. She looks up, looking for the perfect snowflake to catch.

"So any new leads?" I ask Bella.

"Edward, thinks we'll find answers in Brazil" she states. "There are tribes there, that might know something" she explains. As we watch Renesmee jump high into the air to catch a snowflake. Suddenly I feel like we're being watched and the other's feel it too. We all look up to see a lone figure on a cliff top over looking the meadow we're in.

Renesmee returns to us and clings to Jacob's leg. I pick up Mason and stay close to Leah. Rocky hides under her as we all look at the figure. Leah and Jacob growling lowly. "Who is that?" I ask Bella with Rensemee. Is it a threat to us? To the kids?

"I think that's our cousin from Denali" she states. "Irina!" she calls and the figure disappears. "Stay here" she tells us and disappears after Irina.

"Aunt Letty, I'm scared" Renesmee states.

"Everything is ok sweetheart" I assure her. Stroking her long hair. "When your mother returns, we'll go home" I tell her and she nods her head. Bella soon returns and places Renesmee on Jacob's back. I get on Leah's with Mason while Bella grabs Rocky. They run back to the Cullen house. Where Bella tells the others about Irina and Carlisle went to call their cousins in Denali. Edward distracts Renesmee, by showing her how to play the piano.

While I send Mason and Rocky to my mum's with Leah. Feeling he'd be safer there. Besides it was time for him to nap anyway. I'm having lunch Esme made, man she can cook. Carlisle rejoins us in the main room. "Tanya convinced Irina to come reconcile with us" he states.

"It looks like she changed her mind" Edward states. But why? I wonder.

"Seeing Jacob and Leah must have been too much for her" Esme adds. Answering my unspoken question.

"Wish I could have just spoken to her" Bella states.

"She's family. She'll come around" Carlisle assures us. I smile, so nothing to worry about. Edward and Renesmee go back to playing the piano. While I finish my lunch. We then all gather around to listen to Edward and Renesmee play. As Alice appears with a vase of fresh flowers. She suddenly freezes and drops them. Jasper ran to her side.

"What is it, Alice?" he asks her concerned as we all look at them. Wondering what Alice had seen in her vision.

"The Volturi. They're coming for us. Aro, Caius, Marcus, the Guard. And Irina" she answers.

"Honey, come here" Bella says and Renesmee goes to her side.

"Why?" Carlisle and I ask confused.

"What did Irina see in the woods?" Edward asks.

"Well Mason and Rocky were playing in the snow" I state.

"We were talking" Bella adds.

"Nessie was catching snowflakes" Jacob states.

"While jumping high into the air" I add.

"Of course. Irina thinks Renesmee's an immortal Child" Edward states.

"The immortal Children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them. But their development was frozen at the age they were turned. They couldn't be taught or restrained. A single tantrum could destroy an entire village. Humans heard about the devastation. Stories spread. The Volturi were forced to intervene. Since the Children couldn't protect our secret, they had to be destroyed" Carlisle explains.

"That's awful" I state as I hug my pregnant belly.

"Their creators grew very attached and fought to protect them. Long-established covens were torn apart. Countless humans slaughtered. Traditions, friends, even families. Lost" Carlisle then explains about how the Denali's mother had created an immortal child. And was killed.

"Well, Renesmee's nothing like those children. She was born, not bitten. She grows every single day" Bella snaps.

"Exactly and she can protect your secret" I add.

"So can't you just explain that to the Volturi?" Jacob asks them.

"Aro has enough proof in Irina's thoughts" Edward states.

"There has to be something we can do, some way to convince them to let us explain" I tell him.

"Or we can fight" Jacob suggests.

"Their offensive weapons are too powerful. No one can stand against Jane" Jasper states.

"Alec is even worse" Alice adds.

"Well, then we convince them. Like Letty said" Bella states.

"What about if others knew the truth about Renesmee?" I ask.

"That could work" Edward states. "They won't listen to us. But maybe others can convince them. Carlisle, you have friends all around the world" he says looking at him.

"I won't ask them to fight" Carlisle tells him.

"Not fight. Witness. If enough people knew the truth, maybe we could convince the Volturi to listen" Edward explains.

"We can ask this of our friends" Esme tells him. He nods his head. They immediately start planning on gathering witnesses. I told Jacob I'd let the pack know, so that he could stay with Renesmee. He was grateful for that. Sam thanked me for the information and suggested I stay on the reserve until the threat is dealt with.

But I wasn't gonna let anything stop me from seeing the Cullens. But I agreed to leave Mason in La Push to ease Paul's mind. Besides I found a letter the following day from Alice in my letter box, she said I'd want to meet the witnesses. But not why. I wonder if she show something from my future?
