AN:

Moxxie's father is one of the worst and horrible people in this show and as soon as I saw the episode I had to make a fanfic about him getting killed by Moxxie for all the shit he put him through. Enjoy this one shot of the worst Dad in the show (which is saying a lot) getting his just desserts.

Note: Moxxie and his father will be speaking Italian for that whole Mafia vibe they got going on. Translations will be at the end.

Most fathers took their kids fishing as a bonding experience when they were young. For Moxxie, his bonding experience with his father was sending people to sleep with the fishes. The familiar cold foggy feeling he was getting on his face brought many painful memories, but this would be the last time he would ever have to come here. Moxxie hated his past life as a member of the mafia. A childhood of abuse, death, greed and suffering made him have the issues he had to deal with even after leaving them for good to be with Blitzo and his company. He never wanted to go back to that life again. Never see his abusive asshole father or even Chaz, his first love, who betrayed him and left him to rot in prison. Sadly his past caught up with him a year ago and nearly made him lose everything he had gained in his newfound freedom, but thanks to his wife and boss, he was free to be himself again.

However, Moxxie knew his father. He knew he would try to ruin Moxxie's life again just for disobeying him a second time. His father always did so to anyone who showed him the slightest disrespect.

Even to his own family.

Blitzo, for all his faults, had been a better friend than Moxxie ever had (even if he still pissed him off), and Millie was the best thing he ever had. His wife was the key to his happiness. The happiness he had never felt ever since he lost his mother. In fact, his mother was the only one from his old life he held any love for until she ran away.

Or that was the story until Moxxie learned the truth. A truth he had long suspected, but upon finding it out? His father was going to pay. All bets were off.

This was why he decided to carefully plan out a means to get his past to stay buried once and for all. He didn't need his old family anymore. He had a new one. And today would be the day he finally threw off that shackle of the past. Today was the day he finally ended a snake latched onto him.

Moxxie had wanted to do it for years, even before seeing his father a year ago when he tried to get him to marry Chaz just so he could keep control over the son who left him. Moxxie snorted to himself. Son? Yeah right. I was more like property to him. Just another thing for him to control and use for his own gain.

He leaned over the railing of the triple-decked yacht that Blitzo had asked Stolas to borrow. The big boat's bright white and beautiful design stood out against the dark and murky Lake of Greed like an eyesore. Personally, Moxie would have preferred to do this on something more subtle, but in the end, it didn't matter. What mattered was what they were planning on doing. Blitzo was at the helm, dressed with an eyepatch and a pirate hat for some reason (He just made it out to be another quirk of his boss), and followed Moxxie's instructions on where to go.

There was a specific spot Moxxie wanted to do this. It would be poetic justice considering all the shit that had happened to him. For a moment, Moxxie wondered if he wanted to do this. To stoop to this low. However, he knew it had to be done. Not just because she deserved justice but also because it was the best way to get closure.

And because Moxxie's father also fucking deserved it.

Upon seeing a pile of hats, pants, shoes, and a few items floating in one area, Moxxie knew that they had arrived at their destination. He signaled Blitzo to head there, and once they did, he cut off the power before joining Moxxie on the second deck. Looking around with a whistle, Blitzo said, "Wow, your old man sure did whack a lot of people."

"My father didn't know the word "restraint" when it came to dealing with people who pushed him," Moxxie said bitterly as he looked down and saw the sneakers of a little girl with rainbow stickers on them. He couldn't help but sigh and wonder how many lives his father ruined and ended here just to feed his ego. Maybe some of his mafia rivals deserved it, but Moxxie knew that most of those who lost their lives gasping for air in their final moments didn't. After all, he pushed some of them towards their watery grave himself.

Including one that he'll never forgive himself for.

Blitzo, as if sensing his uneasiness, put his hand on Moxxie's shoulder and sounded sympathetic in one of his rare times of genuine kindness. "You okay?"

"Yeah," Moxxie whispered as he turned to his boss and the only real friend he had in the world. "Thanks for helping me with this."

"Eh, no problem. If anything, I'm giving you a chance to do something I've only dreamed about doing to my bastard father," Blitzo replied with a shrug. "Why didn't you want Millie here, though?"

"Because I swore to never get her involved in this shit again, even if it was to end it," Moxxie whispered as he looked down and gripped his fist. "I need to do this on my own. Nobody else. Just me."

Snorting, Blitzo rolled his eyes. "Glad to know I'm just the courier in all this, but whatever. You wanna do it now, or are ya going to have those cliche final words before doing him in?"

"What do you think?" Moxxie replied as he walked over to the other side of the deck, where a sizable sealed trunk was rumbling, and muffled sounds could be heard inside. He gave it a kick for good measure before turning to Blitzo. "I want to do this alone."

"Fine, I'll be downstairs jerking off," Blitzo said as he walked over to the staircase leading to the living room below but paused. "Hey, Mox? Don't hold back anything. Trust me. Get it all out now. I didn't get a chance after Cash left my family and me, so get it out without regret."

"Will do, sir," Moxxie nodded as he waited for Blitzo to leave.

Sighing, he pulled out a key and opened the lock before lifting the cover. An imp, taller than Moxxie and dressed in a blood-stained, slashed-up Italian suit, struggled in his chained bonds while a potato sack was over his head. The imprisoned mafia boss was cursing up a storm despite having his mouth shut with duct tape, but Moxxie didn't care what he had to say. He had heard enough crap from him all his life. Lifting the figure up, Moxxie took off the potato sack and glared back at the man giving him such a death glare that if looks could kill, he'd be dead several times over. "Hello, Dad."

The usually prestigious and clean-looking Crimson was a wreck, to say the least. His left eye had a huge shiner, his horns were sawed off with blood coming down from a significant slash on his forehead, his hair was a mess, and even though it couldn't be seen, half of his teeth were gone from the butt of Moxxie's shotgun going into his face. Blitzo made sure to keep the gold teeth to sell. Even when dating a prince, the guy was a sucker for quick money.

Moxxie lowered himself to his glaring Dad's eye level. Without hesitation, he took the duct tape off and was berated by a series of insults, curses, and swears in both English and Italian that Moxxie ignored. Standing back up, Moxxie crossed his arms, raised an eyebrow, and tapped his foot a few times as his father continued onward for so long he was starting to turn purple from all the screaming. Finally, after ten minutes, Crimson took deep breaths and spat on the floor before going silent.

"Finished?" Moxxie asked.

"You'll be finished when I'm done with you, you lousy, good-for-nothing two-timing frocio !" Crimson shouted in rage. "Should have fucking slit your throat the first chance I got. I knew you were going to betray me! Fuck, I should have drowned you when you were an infant! Bad enough, you turned out to be a wimp with no balls that likes to take it in the ass instead of being a real man, but to betray me?! Your own blood?! I'll nail ya to the wall for this, Moxxie!"

"First off, I'm bisexual, Dad. Not gay. There is a difference," Moxxie replied with a roll of his eyes. "Second, you want to talk about betrayal? How about the fact that you tried to make me marry someone against my own will while I was already married? Or the fact that you tried to kill my wife and best friend?"

"Oh, get over it," Crimson grumbled, rolling his eyes. "Your wife is a valley hick who should know her place in this world instead of being that strong independent woman crap. As for Blitz? He's a fucking satyromaniac who thinks he's hot shit, but everyone knows he's an attention-seeking loser."

"I heard that asshole, and if it wasn't for the fact I promised Moxxie I wouldn't get involved, I'd fucking kill you myself!" Blitzo shouted from the bottom level.

Moxxie just shook his head and glared at his Dad. "You know, Dad? Blitz may have his issues, but he was a better person to me than you or Chaz ever was. Nobody in the so-called ' famiglia' was like family to me. A real famiglia takes care of you, loves you, and accepts you for who you are in life. You never did that with me. You always forced me to do what you wanted, smacked me around when I didn't obey, and when I needed your help, you let me rot because it didn't concern you. You weren't a father to me. You were my owner, and I was your tool ."

"Maybe if you were a real man, then you would be worth something to invest in," Crimson replied with a spat.

"A real man doesn't hurt his son and wife," Moxxie said. "That's not a man. That's a coward."

"Non sono un codardo!" Crimson screamed with a mad look in his eyes. " I am Crimson! Head of a powerful mafia family that you destroyed because you couldn't just shut up and do what you were told! You're nothing but a soft-hearted whore, just like your mother!"

Before Moxxie knew it, his fist had connected with his father's jaw.

"Don't."

Then another one.

"You."

Another one.

"Ever."

Another one.

"Talk."

Another one.

"About."

Another one.

"My."

Another one.

"MOTHER!"

Another one. Another one. And another one.

Moxxie took deep breaths as he lowered his blood-covered fist. His father's face was full of swelling blows as he groaned and coughed up blood from the harsh beating that Moxxie had given him. This was only a tiny taste of the pain that Moxxie was holding in his heart. Crimson just hacked a few times before glaring at his son. "Fucking pussy. Even as you're beating me shitless, you're still a crybaby."

Moxxie took a moment to touch his cheeks to see that he was crying. Wiping his tears, Moxxie glared at him. "You know what? I don't care. Mom told me that crying was the sign of someone who had actual feelings in their heart. A person who doesn't cry is a soulless monster who should be avoided. I guess her one mistake was failing to see that in you."

"Tch, the only reason I married your mother was that that whore tried to make it big here in Greed, and I got her pregnant. Needed an heir anyway to get my old man off my back before he croaked," Crimson said. "Of course, the cagna tried to leave with you, but you were my son! Mine! Not hers!"

"...Is that why you made me kill her?" Moxxie whispered as the entire boat went silent. There wasn't a single sound for a long time. Slowly, Moxxie pulled something from his pocket that made Crimson's eyes widen. It was dirty and covered in muck, but the coloring and design were familiar to both men. White like purity, with a tiny red bow on it. Only one person in all of Hell wore these shoes.

""It was her. Wasn't it?" Moxxie whispered as he gently caressed his mother's shoe as if it was the most precious and fragile thing in the universe. "That first time you made me drown a person in this lake. It was Mom. You made me murder my own mother. Didn't you?"

"...Huh, I was wondering when you were gonna figure it out one day," Crimson said with a snort. "Guess you aren't as stupid as I thought."

"Trust me, I wish I was..." Moxxie whispered as he closed his eyes. Tears were threatening to come down, but he held them off. He needed to focus. He gently put the shoe back in his pocket before staring back at his father. "You made her look like a man, but it was Mom I drowned that day. You lied to me. All this time, I thought she ran away to get away from you. But it was all a lie."

"Give the kid a prize. He's a detective," Crimson said with a snarl. "Your mother wouldn't respect me. Even was planning on leaving me to take you back to Wrath. So I had to show her the same thing I do to those who all disrespect me. I made her sleep with the fishes like the little shit that she was."

"...You made me murder my own mother," Moxxie whispered in cold fury as he clenched his fist. "Mom was the only person in my life that treated me right before I went to jail and met Blitz and Millie. And you... FUCKING MADE ME KILL HER! WHY?!"

Crimson was silent for a while before he smirked. "Because I wanted her to suffer. And the best way I could think about that was to make her die at the hands of the son she loved so much."

SMASH!

Moxxie's fist lowered itself as he wiped the blood off his hands and glared at his groaning father. "I hate you. I hate you so much. You are a monster, and I'm glad I never ended up like you."

"Says the boy...who (cough) killed...(ack) his madre ..." Crimson choked as he spat out more blood.

Moxxie grabbed him by the throat and slammed him down upon the deck as he stared at his father with pure and utter hatred. "No. You forced me to do that. You made me kill my mother. I know my mother. She would never blame me. Never hate me. Because I was a child ignorant of what his father was doing to him. But guess what, Dad? Karma has come back, and it's only fitting that I will be the one that ends you today. Here. On the very spot that you made me kill my mother. A complete fucking circle, wouldn't you say?"

Grinning, he got closer to his father's face and, for the first time, saw fear in his father's eyes. "All your life, you've acted like some big-shot asshole who has stepped on everyone to get what you want. But now? You are just like the worm that you really are. Squirming in fear and talking a big mouth when I can see you are scared for your life. That is how Mom felt. That is how everyone you have ever killed felt. This terror you are experiencing? That's the same feeling everyone you ever dumped here had before they died. Now you are going to join them. Their spirits will drag you to the bottom of the water, and you will die alone, hated, and afraid. Me? I'm going to live, and I will never look back again. You are nothing to me. And soon? You will be nothing. Just a distant memory that will never be spoken about. Because at the end of the day, Crimson? You're just a mortadella . Nothing more and nothing less. And you will die like one right here and right now."

"W-W-Wait! Moxxie, I-" Crimson didn't get a chance to speak because Moxxie had shut his mouth back up with the duct tape. He ignored his father's muffled screaming and squirming and went to the other side of the truck to get a large cinder block. Crimson's cries of fear and pleading only increased upon seeing it.

Moxxie, stoic and calm, brought it over and grabbed the chain holding his father before hooking it to the lock. After ensuring it was tight and locked, he soon dragged it over to the edge of the yacht and looked over at the water that held so many graves. He could practically imagine their ghosts ready to drag his father to the underwater hell that awaited him. Sighing, Moxxie pulled his squirming father closer as he saw tears in his fearful eyes. Seeing the man who made him cry, blabbering like a baby in a pathetic attempt to save his skin, was cathartic. Moxxie took one last look at the monster who ruined his life and felt nothing but a final resolve to end this nightmare he had been living with all his life once and for all.

"Addio, Padre. Riposi in pace," Moxxie whispered in Italian as he kissed his father on the forehead before smirking. "Stronzo."

He then kicked the cinder-block overboard, heard his father's muffled scream, and watched him get dragged into the deep watery abyss in less than a second. Moxxie watched in silence as bubbles from his father's sinking place popped one by one until there were nothing but calm ripples.

And just like that, it was done.

It was all over.

Moxxie always thought he would laugh, cry, or scream when he finally put his father away for good, but instead, he felt nothing. Just a sense of peace that had washed out a bad dream.

A hand touched his shoulder, and he looked up to see Blitzo looking down at him with concern. "You okay?"

Moxxie's answer was to wrap his arms around his boss and hug him.

For one, Blitzo said nothing and instead just held him back.

***

"Come on, Hun! We're gonna be late for work!"

"I'll be right there! You go on ahead without me!" Moxxie said as he finished putting on his tie in the bathroom before making sure everything was perfect for another day of work at I.M.P. Satisfied with his appearance, he walked out and made his way towards the door before pausing at the shelf by the door. It held a collection of photos and memorabilia that he and Millie had collected over the years. A new photo and item had been added to the shelf that he couldn't help but look at every so often.

It showed a beautiful and kind imp woman holding a very young Moxxie with smiles on their faces as they sat down in his bed. Without the monster that haunted them both in the frame. And beside it was a very clean, almost new-looking white shoe with a red ribbon. Moxxie smiled warmly at the photo and shoe before hearing a honking noise from outside and sighed.

He said goodbye to his mother in his heart and went out to join his true family, waiting for him outside for another day of his better, happier life.
