Chapter Eight

Soren: Hey.

Talia: Look who it is.

Soren: Thanks for picking up yesterday.

Talia: No problem. Didn't waste too much of my time, anyways.

Soren: Do you have FaceTime?

Talia: Uhh, yeah.

Soren: (((:

Talia: You're so creepy.

Soren: Exactly (;

Talia: Creep.

> Incoming FaceTime from Soren.

> Decline FaceTime.

Soren: How rude ),:

Talia: I don't talk to strangers.

Soren: You just did the other day (:

Talia: One-time mistake :P

Soren: What's your favorite color?

Talia: Why?

Soren: Well, we have to stop being strangers somehow.

Talia: Red. Yours?

Soren: White. Favorite food?

Talia: Rice. What's your favorite movie?

Soren: Silent Hill.

Talia: Scary movie lover, I see. My favorite movie is Blue Is The Warmest Color.

Soren: Ewwwwwww. Lesbian freak.

Talia: This marks the end of our friendship.

Soren: I'm kidding! My sister's dating a girl, actually. Love is love.

Talia: I feel like I just watched a PSA about gay rights. Go you.

Talia: Wait, you have a sister??

Soren: Two, actually.

Talia: Lucky?! I have no siblings.

Soren: It's not too much fun. Don't worry, you're not missing out.

Talia: How old are your sisters??

Soren: Well sheesh. Forgetting about me already?

Talia: Not quite yet. Now how old are they?

Soren: 17 and 15. Their golden years. What color is your hair?

Talia: FaceTime me to find out (;

> One missed FaceTime from Soren.

Soren: I really hate you sometimes, Talia.

Talia: I didn't think you'd actually do it, LOL.

Soren: My hair is black. I'm pretty cool if I do say so myself

Talia: My hair is brown and wavy. And blonde at the tips. I'm kinda short.

Soren: I have good enough imagery of you in my mind now. Thanks.

Talia: My eyes are brown and I'm kinda tan. Also my nails are painted red right now. And I weigh 130 lbs.

Soren: Did I ask?

Talia: Nope (:

Soren: So... What's your social security number?

Talia: Good one.

Soren: It was worth a shot.

Talia: A+ for effort.

Soren: Tell me about your life.

Talia: You sure do like to hop between subjects, huh.

Soren: Yep.

Talia: Okay, so, I'm a girl. I breathe air. I go to high school.

Soren: I fell in love with a girl that breathed air and went to high school. How coincidental...

Talia: It's a crazy world, man.

Soren: Yep.

Talia: But really. Tell me about her. After all, that's why we're talking in the first place.

Soren: She was crazy beautiful. We got together in junior year. I was in love with her, and she was in love with me. Unfortunately, she knew how to get on every last nerve of mine. Then I went and made bad choices. Now she's gone.

Talia: That's a bummer /: Where'd she go? Like, do you guys still talk?

Soren: No. I don't know where she went. I was drunk as a duck one night and texted some random number, thinking it was her for some unknown reason. My bad.

Talia: It's a pretty efficient way to make friends, don'tcha think?

Soren: You're not wrong. At least something good came out of it :)

Talia: Yeah... You and your weird nasa facts. What was all about anyways?

Soren: I don't know. I was still kinda drunk. LOL.

Talia: Wow. And here I was, thinking you were all philosophical and stuff.

Soren: Nope. Just intoxicated.

Talia: You know, you shouldn't really be drinking. There's better ways to deal with heartbreak.

Soren: Yeah? Like killing yourself?

Talia: No, wtf.

Soren: I'm kidding. I know there's better ways to deal. I'm just unmotivated.

Talia: Get some motivation, then.

Soren: It's not that easy. You're the only thing that motivates me anymore.

Talia: Oh yeah. Leave it up to a random chick that you don't even know to give you a will to live.

Soren: Oops (:

Talia: I think my mom's calling me. Crap.

Soren: Tell her to go away.

Talia: Ahahah, it's not that simple. I gotta go ):

Soren: Adios.

Talia: See ya later.
