Unknown Noises
[ Still Claire's Story]
I came to school extra early today. Minutes away from flag ceremony, I dragged my best friend along with me to our classroom. Her name's Nicole by the way.
If you're wondering why I dragged her to our classroom, it wasn't about the paranormal phenomenon that I had witnessed a lot lately. No. It was because I had brought a white board pen so that we could write or doodle on our white board early in the morning. No, we weren't vandalizing school property, we just wanted to be a little childish at times. Judge me if you want, I don't care. And yes, we would erase what we would draw before the morning ceremony bell would ring.
I hadn't told Nicole about my paranormal experiences, not even anybody else. Well, except Angel, cause I actually had an experience with the unknown with her around. I just didn't want to talk to anybody else about it. I was afraid that they would think that I'm crazy or I was just toying with their minds. So, I kept it to myself. Angel hasn't even talked about it to anyone either.
Our classroom has only one neighbouring room, which was the fifth grade classroom, which was North of our classroom. West of our classroom was the school's big, old mango tree. On the East side was the hallway. South was the outside little stage of our school. Our room is also at the third floor of our four-floor school building. The buildings are also shaped into a big letter 'C', but not the curved C, we're the straight C. So, our room would be at the bottom line of the C.
Me and Nicole have drawn and erased lots of doodles already. Just 10 minutes away from the time, we decided to make one last drawing. Nicole went first and drew a turkey on a plate. We weren't good at drawing these kinds of things, so imagine a baloon-like turkey with cartoon-ish drumsticks for its legs on a wavy-circular flat plate... Hahaha. After her, I was next to doodle. I tried to draw a candelabra, the one with three long candle-sticks. When I finished the second candle and was about to draw the third one; the both of us heard someone speak from behind us. It sounded like a girl younger we were. She called out in a faint, but clear voice, "Nicole".
Both me and Nicole slowly looked behind us. And seeing that no one was there, we slowly turned our heads to face each other, and with nervous sweat forming at our temples, we screamed and ran out of our classroom as fast as we could.
Outside, we didn't even bother looking back. We didn't even erase our drawings. We kept arguing on what we heard, and why it clearly came from inside our classroom! I then decided to tell her about my paranormal experiences, and the both of us became more cautious when actually inside our own classroom.

Saturday. Claire has a fever.
On a cold Saturday afternoon. Well, let's just say it was 5:30 somethin' in the afternoon. I was still sick and very weak cause I ended up having a fever today. So, I remained inside my house laying on the couch, trying to catch some shut-eye. My mom, dad, and cousin (who was our house help before going to work in Manila), were all outside chopping into smaller logs, the trees that were taken down from this morning. We were only four people in total who inhabitted the place.
I was to weak and tired to even stand up and go outside. So, I just layed on the sofa and tried to sleep. Then, I heard the keyboard from my dad's office. Someone was typing? Is dad inside? Why didn't I notice him come inside?
Curiosity got the best of me. So, even though I was sick and tired, I stood up to peek in my dad's office (which was the room next to where I was laying, which was our living room). His office room's door is always open. When I started walking towards the door, the typing stopped. Three seconds after the typing stopped, I went through the door, and no one was inside.
The door is the only entrance and exit to the room. I then walked fast to the glass window and looked outside our house. My dad was still outside, very sweaty chopping wood with my mom and cousin. And because our house was a very closed house (I mean not even a mosquito could come in, but could if you left the door wide open), it would be very obvious if someone would come in, because our doors make a little noise, and one of them has wind chimes attached to it.
So, I decided to let it pass and think that I was just imagining things. A few minutes after laying back down again. The typing came back. This time, I decided to ignore it and tried to sleep. After a while it stopped, and I rested easy. After an hour, my parents came back inside and I felt relieved.
I hate these experiences!!!
