A week later...

The wind rushed past Nicholas's face as he flew through the rainforest. He loved how quick a dragon had to think to avoid flying into something. He loved flying. It helped him clear his mind and after last week's events, he needed all the help he could get with that. He was on his way to visit Queen Glory and King Deathbringer.

While he respected all of the queens and their partners, he liked Glory and Deathbringer the best. He wasn't sure if it was because Glory was sarcastic or because Deathbringer was an assassin. On the way, he ripped a leopard out of a tree by its neck killing it, and a few mangoes as a present for the royals, both being their favorite foods.

He stopped to rest on a tree, draping the dead leopard over the branch and setting the mangoes on top of it, preventing them from rolling away. He glanced up at the Rainforest palace, if it could be called that. It was more like a small, fancy home than a palace, but then again it wasn't much different than where he lived either. It used the trunk of the tree and branches as part of the structure. More branches were woven into it making look similar to a woven basket at a distance. The roof consisted of leaves and seaweed also woven together. This confused Nicholas for a minute until he remembered why the palace was made. The palace was a present from two royal seawings, Princess Anemone and Prince Turtle. It was made for the royal rainwings for letting Turtle marry a Rainwing named Kinkajou, and letting Anemone marry another Rainwing named Tarmarin. It also symbolized the friendship Queen Coral had with Queen Glory. Nicholas was pretty sure that Coral was only allied with Glory for her daughter's sake.

A dart flew past Nicholas's head, barely missing his ear. He looked around for the dragon who shot the dart at him. About two small trees away from him, was a Nightwing who was half hidden by what appeared to be two camouflaged wings.

Nicholas leaned back on his haunches as best he could in the tree and held up his front talons. The Nightwing and previously hidden Rainwing flew towards him and landed on a branch close by. The Nightwing looked half asleep and the Rainwing kept the dart gun aimed at his head. It wasn't even loaded.

The Nightwing had dark purple and blue scales and very few black scales. The Rainwing was mostly a maroon color with hints of purple and pink scattered throughout. The Rainwing pointed down meaning that Nicholas could lower his talons.

"What's your business here Nightwing?" asked the Rainwing "I don't remember seeing Nightwings with scars on their eye. At least not any like that." Nicholas flinched at this remark. As he had suspected, the wound he received from Snowdrift did scar. It wasn't entirely healed yet, but Blueberry said it was healed enough that he could go flying for a bit. He wished that he didn't have the scar.

"I would like to see Queen Glory." he responded calmly "I'm bringing food to her and her partner as an anniversary gift." he said while pointing to the food with his wing.

"Anniversary of what?" asked the Rainwing, "Their marriage anniversary was last month."

"I know and I was here for that. This is for Glory's fifth year of being queen."

The Rainwing stood puzzled for a moment.

"The only ones allowed to their anniversary party were the dragonets of destiny and the royal family." Connecting the dots in her head, the Rainwing lowered the dart gun and hit the Nightwing guard who had managed to fall asleep.

"You're one of the royals aren't you?" asked the Rainwing with a curious expression. Nicholas nodded his head.

"Prince Blackwidow." he stated using his dragon name. Him and some of his siblings had both dragon and scavenger names. He wasn't sure why though.

The Nightwing looked up at him and managed to find his voice for he had been entirely silent till then.

"But you have a scar." he said.

"Could be new." stated the Rainwing. They then proceeded to get in a fight over this. He guessed that since they knew who he was he could go to the palace. Nicholas grabbed the leopard and mangoes and started flying towards the Rainforest palace leaving the guards to continue fighting.
