Piper
Piper dreamed she was back home with her mother. Mother was wearing a black v-neck and light jeans.
"Mom?" Piper said. Her voice sounded like an echo.
Her mother just stared at her.
Piper walked up and tried to touch her. She was there. Her soft arms were solid and warm.
"Mom? Say something," Piper said.
Pipers mother looked down. She looked Piper in the eye and said something Piper didn't understand:
"Find my loss."
How does someone find a loss?
Piper fell to her knees and the world went black.
She woke up, but in the real world this time.
Her back ached, her nose throbbed, and her insides were deciding to re-enact Pearl Harbor.
Piper whinced and groaned with pain. Whenever she moved the slightest bit it felt like another bomb fell and she was hawaii.
A person was sitting in a chair next to her.
"You're dead," Piper said, "They told me that you should be dead."
"Should be, old friend, should be," the person said, "but I saved your life, we shoukd catch up."
