She sat back to back with Percy and Jason during the sorting ceremony. Ravenclaw table was always next to Gryffindor.

She got a few new first years, but Percys siblings were in Gryffindor with him.

After the ceremony she went to her house in the tower, there she saw a boy, probably a third year like her, sitting on the ground trying to make something out of many gears and levers.

Suddenly his contraption stopped malfunctioning and started playing the most besutiful sound she has ever heard.

"How did you make that? What spell did you use?" She asked him.

He flinched when she said that, he was so focused on his machine he didn't even loon at her until then.

"Um, no magic, just gears and levers, I guess," he said.

"Have I ever met you?" She said.

"Maybe, I'm the kid in the back of class who always sneeks out of class to build more contraptions, and when I do stay in class I bewitch my pen so I can just nap while I take notes," the boy laughed.

"That's cheating!" She exclaimed.

"No it's my definition of genius, by the way my names Leo," he said.

"I'm Annabeth," she said.

"Nice to meet ya Annabeth," he said.

Annabeth left him to complete the final touches on his machine and then went to her dormitory.

Her three roomates, Rachel, Zoe, and Silena were already unpacked.

She all asked them if they knew anything about Piper, Silena was her cousin after all and she tells everyone everything.

"Oh well she hasn't said anything but ever since around that one transfiguration class last year all second years had together she has been acting weird, she seems nervous about something," Silena said quickly, "I think she realized she liked someone that day."

Annabeth was a bit shocked. Piper didnt seem like the crush kind lf girl.

Annabeth thought about that all night until she fell asleep.
