Chapter 3

Yuma rushed as quickly as he dared to through the halls. Fortunately, he knew the halls well from playing the game plus Whistleblower repeatedly.

Of only Astral stayed to watch me play this. Maybe he would kind of know what to do. It would kill me if something bad happens.

No homo...

He heard the voices of the twins, and he hid in a pitch black room under a bed. He kept low so as not to attract attention.

Yuma wondered how Astral was holding up.

~.~.~

Astral looked around the corner for any signs of the monster. The only things that kept him going was the fact that they could go home after this.

This is like Amnesia,  Astral thought to himself. Except there are many insane people, and this is a creepy asylum instead of a creepy castle. Also, I am alone!

Astral would have roared in frustration, but he knew that it would attract Fatty McFat.

Hehe. Fatty McFat.

Astral held the ball of light further to see what was in front of him. He knew it was probably a bad idea, but he needed to see.

Maybe a little more light will do. There are plenty of hiding spots, and I will only be more prominant in the dark.

Astral closed his eyes and took a look around with his Internal Eye, an ability that can look around a place anywhere if he was looking for something in particular.

Astral groaned inwardly. The generator was in the basement.

Of course.

So, I have to make a trip downstairs, huh? As if things weren't bad enough already!

Taking a deep breath and fighting back tears, Astral made his way down to the basement.  He found it quickly and descended.

"Of only I had the pack," Astral mumbled to himself. "Then, I wouldn't need to turn on the lights. I would be able to skip all this."

Astral saw the water, and he was instantly glad that he could float instead of walk. That would provide him with silence. He floated up to the generator and looked at it.

Just great, he thought bitterly. I have to activate two things in order to turn this damn thing on!

Astral breathed deeply, containing his slowly rising anger. His light was growing dimmer. It always did that when he experienced negative emotions. He was almost invisible.

Astral went one way and entered a room. There, he saw a red glow. It reminded him of Slender the Arrival. His breathing quickened at the memory.

Before he could lose his mind, Astral pushed the button and rushed to the door.

A voice stopped him. Astral panicked when the door started banging.  He quickly hid behind a metal thing. He covered his mouth to keep his breathing silent. He felt a tad uncomfortable sitting in the water, but he toughed it out.

After a while, the person left after making some kind of comment that Astral decided to ignore.

He crawled out as soon as he knew that the person was gone. He breathed a sigh of relief. He rushed to the hall and made his way slowly to the other room. He was cautious in case of the monster person showed up again. He soon got lost.

Where am I? Astral wondered. I don't recognize this place. He started to panic. Where am I? Wh-where's the red glow? I should be able to find where I am if I can find the generator.

Astral's breathing quickened as he moved along. The cold gripped him. He wrapped his trembling arms around himself, trying to contain Dark.

He heard the man shuffling along again and panicked. He frantically looked for a place to hide. When he found none, he rushed into a room and had under the bed.

"Can I come out now~?" the dark voice asked. "You know that I'll make this a whole lot easier."

Astral shuddered and ignored Dark. He covered his mouth and shut his eyes, willing the person to ignore him.

The footsteps went away. Astral crawled out and kept going, his breathing ragged.

Finally, he saw a red glow. Laughing with relief, Astral flew over to it. He pushed the button and zipped out, hoping to get away before the monster could get to him.

Fortunately, he made it to the machine. Astral looked over anything else he might need. All he needed to do was pull the lever in… it didn't say. Astral cursed his luck and rushed out of the place.
