Sleep.
Eat.
Drink.

I do everything they do. What made me so different? Why do they always push me away? What could I do to be let in? I'm just a lonely boy, a sad boy, who's trying to fit in.
These crisp white halls made me feel afraid. Everyday they would bang me across the wall and take everything. I'm afraid. I'm afraid of everyone who walks through these halls. Including myself.
Glares is all I get. I never get hugs like the rest, instead I get pounded on.
I walked in the men's bathroom and hid in a stall. I sat down on the toilet and took out my lunch. My mother made me her amazing BLT for lunch. I took out my phone as well and plugged in my headphones. I scrolled through YouTube, playing a Dan and Phil video. Yup, this is how I spend my lunch. Hiding from those who could hurt me, the ones who liked to see me cry. I tried my best to hold in my laughter from the two British Youtuber's.
Before I knew it, lunch was over. I had to go to my six period class. I silently put everything away, I opened the stall to see a group of familiar faces. One of the many bullies. Robert, Matthew, and Bob. "Hey freaky boy!" Robert said while taking my backpack forcefully. I didn't even try to fight back, there was no use. I looked down. If I could describe myself it would be like a lost, abandoned puppy that has been kicked one too many times.
"Let's see what you got for us today!" He emptied my backpack and all my items scattered all over the floor. They smirked as they started to go through my belongings, taking what they thought was valuable, like money.
"Oh! Looks like freaky boy over here is a dollar short!" Matthew said in a cold tone. I could practically feel myself shake. I was horrified. Suddenly I was grabbed by both Bob and Robert, I knew what came next.
They dragged into the same stall I hid in. "Time for you to go for a swim!" Before I could react my head was pushed into the toilet. I struggled to the best of my ability. They yanked my head out and laughed. "So how was it?" Robert teased. "What's that? You liked it? Oh well! I guess it can't hurt to go back in!" Without warning, my head was shoved back in, I kept my eyes and mouth close just in case.
They finally yanked me out and threw me to the ground. "Next time you better have all our money, freak," Robert spat. They left me all alone, laying on the bathroom floor. Not wanting to move, I stayed on the floor and curled into a ball.
I sobbed silently, what did I do so wrong? Why won't they let me be their friends instead of hurting me? Why won't anyone be my friend?
They treat me like I don't belong and I don't know why. I was stuck in this place, suffering, cold, hurt, and broken. I just want to leave. Why am I even here? Just so I could be pushed down, and forced to surrender to weakness and vulnerability?

I feel so helpless and weak, I felt like nothing. I raised myself off the floor, shaking. I crawled to all my stuff and started shoving my stuff in my backpack. I tried my best to hold back tears as shoved all my stuff back in. Finally, I stood up and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror above the sink. Broken. A broken little boy.
I slowly made my way to the sink, avoiding eyes contact with the mirror and splashed water on my face.
I dried off my face and left the bathroom. I walked down the same cold, white hallway. I passed classrooms and lockers. Yet, I didn't stop. I kept walking till l reached the end of the hallway and opened the door. A fresh breeze hit my face as I walked out. I wasn't staying. I never make it to the end because I'm scared.
I walked down the sidewalk, not making any eye contact with anyone I passed. Many people I passed just bumped my shoulder. I walked all the way to a place I visit way too often. Starlight park. I come here because I have nowhere else to go. I sat down at the lonely old bench in front of the fountain. I just stared at the beautiful fountain like usual. It was so cool how the water squirted out and looked beautiful. Suddenly I heard a creak. From the corner of my eye sat a boy, he looked around my age. His hair was jet black yet some was dyed blue. He had these bright green eyes that reminded me of a neon sign. Contacts maybe? He just sat there, staring at the fountain as well.
I felt the anxiety rise in me. Why did he sit next to me? Is he going to hurt me? "Beautiful view, isn't?" The teenage boy said with a sigh. I just nodded in agreement. "My names Ely. Ely Harrison," Ely said. I stayed quiet and noticed he took out a small box. Out of curiosity, I tilted my head to get a better view. It was a box cigarettes. "Want one?" He offered. I just shook my head. No way in hell, was I going to smoke.
"You're not much of a talker are you?" He said while lighting a cigarette and putting it in between his lips. I shook my head. "Well I'm not gonna force you to talk since you seem like you're going to faint if you do," He said leaning back. I turned my full head and glared. "Calm down Mr. Shypants. It was a joke." He puffed out a smoke that made me cough. "Let me guess, you're against smoking?" He said in a sarcastic tone. I shrugged, I wasn't against it but I wasn't supportive of it. "It's not that bad. I mean it makes me feel better after a long day of hell," He said yet his tone towards the end was a bit sad. "You come here often?" All I did was nod in agreement. "Interesting, well it's about time I left. See you tomorrow." He stood and left, leaving me confused. How did he know I was going to come back tomorrow?

I decided to try something new so here it is! Hoped you like it!
