Third Person's POV
●Pines Residence● Dippers Room●
Dipper plopped down face first onto his bed, not caring that he just had dinner. He groaned at thought of dinner. The tension in the air was stifling at the verge of him choking on nothing. Some part of him knew that he couldn't wrap his head around the fact that his family changed so much. But another, darker part of him was also the that surprised at the obvious display of hostility they were showing, or in Mabel's case, obsession.
He couldn't pretend not to see the manic gleam her eyes had whenever she was staring at him. Though every time he stared directly at those mirror like pools, they would be swiftly replaced by her usual happy facade that almost fooled him the first time he saw this change.
Even Grunkle Ford, even though that cunning man had many secrets, he was absolutely dreadful at keeping him emotions under control. He would find Ford openly staring at him, as if expecting him to turn into Bill any second. Sometimes, he would discreetly wake up in the middle of the night because of the not-so-subtle creek of the door, he would feel his Grunkle stare at him mumbling incoherently. Then he would leave, leaving the trace of his oily scent in the air.
It creeped the hell out of the teen whenever this happened. But its not like he could wake up and surprise his grunkle, who know what sort of weapons that old coot had in his pockets.
With a sigh, he reversed his position and sat up. Without a thought, he glided to his small table and sat on his chair, and read. He read until it was almost midnight. He read until entry 99, with that he had tears stinging his eyes.
It was just so sad, as cliche as that may sound. Williams last proclamation of love written in this book was just heartbreaking. Silently, in an attempt to stifle his ugly sobs he covered his mouth with one hand and wiped his tears with the other.
He glanced at the time and groaned.
12:37
Shit. He knew school immediately started tomorrow. If he had a say in it, he would have come back to Piedmont a week before, not insulting his love for Gravity Falls' weirdness in any way but... school was important. He sadly looked at the book before putting it away in a small alcove beneath his bed which he made when he was young. As an afterthought he piled his notes and a few pens in there too just to be safe
Once he double checked his room for anything out of place, he changed his clothes to a simple pale blue oversized shirt and boxer shorts and slipped onto his bed. He looked at his window, the soft glimmer of the moon and stars slowly lulling his mind to a fitful sleep.
Though he didn't notice the invisible yet comfortable weight he felt on his left ring finger.
●The Next Week ● Piedmont High School●
Dipper's sluggish movement, perfectly described his inevitable bad day. Don't get him wrong, the school itself was amazing. The clean gleaming halls were spotless, great lighting, smart teachers, and a big and open library.
The downside was...
Dipper glanced at his ruined locker in misery, he was one of the biggest targets in school. Even being a senior didn't stop other students sophomore to seniors to target him and his fellow nerds, geeks, goths, other students with low esteem, and other weirdoes. His school the epitome of stereotypes.
Luckily for his sister, she was one of the minority of popular kids. She was borderline Regina George in this school, only Mabel was the sparkle in the unicorn, she was quiet in her tormenting . The female twin always found a way to keep her victims voices shut.
Last year...she wasn't like this last year. Last year she was literally the rainbowy blood of the unicorns.
With a heavy sigh the teen entered the code to his locker. He peered inside and cringed, hateful words were poorly written in his locker. Not that he was offended of what the words meant, he was just fuming and paranoid how these people managed to get his code. Damn.
Sadly, one of the many rule of high school, a high schooler on a mission is more fiercer and craftier than a beast in a prison.
It was childishly amusing at what they wrote.
Go die
U dont belong heree
Smartass
Fag
Quer
How they misspelled 'queer' and 'here' is beyond him.
He just gathered his necessary materials, and went to class.
--------------
Class was indeed as miserable as he expected. Bullies left, right, side wards, up and down. He lost count of how many had tripped him today, he wonders if the others have yet to get sick of laughing whenever he tripped.
So when the bell rang for lunch, he dashed through the door not even waiting for the professor to dismiss them.
The frustrated teen went into autopilot as his body turned to a familiar path in the back of the school. He discovered this small garden when he was attempting to hide from the bullies.the grass was overgrown and the plants wildly growing to their full extent. Even with overgrown plants, the garden was somehow managed to looked better than most abandoned gardens.
The young man had yet to see other footprints aside from his. So he was careful whenever he went to here, as to not alert his 'fans' of his secret abode.
The sun shone brightly, almost mockingly at him, and a particular flower stood out from the common pinks, blues, reds, and yellows.
Its rich passionate red could make your blood soar, the very description of a passionate night with the purest of itimacy and love. It similarly colored center give the flower a richer picture, almost like the after glow after the passionate night.
He knew what it was at first glance.
The Cosmos flower or Chocolate Cosmos is native to Mexico. The Cosmos genus includes the species Cosmos bipinnatus which is commonly referred to as the Mexican Aster, Cosmos sulphureus also called the Yellow Cosmos, Cosmos atrosanguineus also known as the Chocolate Cosmos, and others. The chocolate cosmos is called so because its fragrance is similar to that of chocolate.
The flowers of the cosmos plant are produced in a capitulum that is surrounded by a ring of broad ray florets and central disc florets. The flowers come in varied bright colors like white, pink, orange, yellow, and scarlet. They can be single or double-colored flowers and are about 2 - 4 inches in diameter.
The word Cosmos in Greek means orderly, beautiful, and ornamental. The flower's fragrance and vibrant colors give it the attributes of peacefulness, wholeness, and modesty. The typical meaning of this flower is 'love flower'.
This flower is often used to illustrate one's deepest feelings of love. When sent to one's love on Valentine's Day it can be said to mean 'walk with me hand in hand' and 'see, life is indeed beautiful'.
The chocolate flower when gifted to a loved one means, 'I love you more than anybody can'.
Such a romantic and precious flower indeed.
But sadly it is no longer present in the wild. The last time the chocolate cosmo occurred naturally was over 100 years ago. Botanical enthusiasts began propagating the plant in 1902. In fact, this flower does not produce seeds and must be propagated via tissue culture or root division.
If Dipper had to guess somebody must have transferred this plant into this garden. But as far as he's concerned no one has ever been in this garden for years, so how did such a beautiful flower still blossom after such a long time?
Until now he had not made any movement to get closer to the weird flower. As he crept closer he could make up a stone like object where the flower was growing. Dipper could not make out any detail as to what it was since it was covered in leave of various flowers growing around it.
The teen reached out and hesitantly and gently moved the leaves and roots of the of the plants. The rough lettering, that were once beautiful and refined were now worn and chipped but still readable.
In Loving and Eternal Memory of:

A loving Husband

A Helpful Nephew
" To the end of this reality and the next. We will meet each other again, where you will walk with me hand in hand. To see if life is indeed beautiful. Where I will love you more than anybody can, my love---W.R."
His tears flowed, his hands trembled and sank to his knees. Thick nimbus clouds gathered around the sun, thunder and lightning boomed around him.
They were real. He already knew but this authentic and undeniable proof literally took his breath away. He looked at the flower, the Cosmos , how symbolic.
He, the half demon William, was the one who wrote the message. He must also be the one who preserved such a magnificent flower.
While Dipper was trembling with his thoughts. Rain poured in gallons on him, but he didn't move an inch. Neither did the Cosmos.
The small beauty held itself regal and proud even with the harsh force of the storm.
Dipper looked up into the sky and...
SCREAMED
