Adrien's POV

Marinette wanted to divorce me and so did I, I knew things wouldn't work out with us. I felt like she has never cared for Aria, and Marinette isn't the sweet little girl I remember.

"I think I'll be leaving, tell your parents I said goodbye." Marinette said to me.

"Yeah, yeah, just leave already before you kill me too." I said trying not to cry.

Marinette couldn't keep in her cry, I kind of felt bad but I just didn't want someone to be in my life if they couldn't care less about family.

"Remember, everything I did was to protect Aria. I was strict on her so when she gets older, she can know what is right from wrong!" Marinette said in a crying voice.

I didn't respond, I just kept silent looking at the floor trying not to cry.

Marinette left the house and I fell to my knees in tears. My mom and dad walked into the room and saw me.

"Oh, my goodness, what happened!?" My mom slightly screamed.

"She is divorcing me just because I said she never cares for our daughter!" I said crying so hard.

"Ugh, I knew you should've never married her! You and Kagami were meant to be." My dad said in an angry tone.

"Kagami broke up with me for not being romantic! I wish she would have given me one more chance."

"High school love is so hard." My mom said with a sigh.

"Everything is hard, I tried being the best dad that Aria ever had, and Marinette just kept keeping secrets from her when I told her not to. If we told her what was inside of the Miracle box, Aria would still be here today but now she is in a coma!" I screamed while crying even harder.

"Adrien, crying won't solve anything. Prove her wrong and show her how it really is to care about family." My mom said while hugging me and smiling.

Maybe I could actually prove her wrong, but how? Aria still wasn't awake from her coma.

We all went to bed; I still couldn't stop thinking about Marinette. I loved her but I don't think she loves Aria.

It was finally the next day. I woke up and got ready for the day; it kind of felt like life was like before my mom went inside of a coma. I went downstairs and my mom and dad were in the kitchen. 

"Good morning!" My mom said to me while smiling.

"Good morning mom and dad." I responded.

They made bacon and pancakes.

Ew.

I put on a fake smile and decided and ate it. My mom and dad watched my face emotions and they looked at me as if I was weird or something-.

"Do you like it because your face is saying that you hate it?" My dad asked while looking slightly mad.

"I'm on a diet." I said.

My mom turned so red, and she looked angry.

"WELL CANCEL THAT, YOU CAN'T LIVE HERE AND BE ON A DIET LIKE WHO DID WE RAISE? SOMEONE WHO EATS VEGETABLES AND FRUITS?! NO, WE ONLY EAT JUNK FOOD HERE, OKAY?!" My mom yelled so loud.

"Chill mom, Marinette told me to-"

"FORGET MARINETTE, SHE JUST CAUSES TROUBLE IN OUR LIFE!" My mom said interrupting me.

"It's hard to forget about someone mom."

"Son, you're the only one putting limits on yourself."

I guess my mom was right, I was always telling myself what I can't and what I can do. I think I should actually forget about Marinette and date Lila or someone else.

Marinette's POV

I was walking down the street. I already saw the sun rising in the sky, it blinded my eyes. I saw my mom's and dad's cafe, but I didn't bother to stop there because I didn't want to get them involved in any drama. I still continued to walk until I remembered my true best friend that was always there for me...

Alya.

I reached for my phone which was inside of my purse. I hadn't talked to Alya for almost a year now and every time she called me, I would always be ignoring it. Maybe I was a bad friend and a mother too. 

I called Alya and she answered.

"OMG GIRL, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Aly screamed almost causing me to go deaf.

"Hi Alya, I am okay but next time don't scream- a lot has happened since the last time I talked to you." I said in a mumbled voice.

"What's going on? Also am I still banned from talking to Aria after I told her about there being superheroes 20 years ago?"

"Uhm actually, can I come over to your place? And I don't think none of us will be able to talk to Aria again. Not even Adrien."

Alya went silence for a couple seconds.

"Oh, uhm sure girl. Ttyl then." She said and hung up not even waiting for me to say bye.

Alya has always been there for me no matter what and I felt bad for not even answering any of her calls and she answered me still. I've been only thinking about how to discipline Aria and I even forgot about anyone else.

Aria's priorities are one of my main goals. 

While I was walking to Alya's house, I was still thinking about what I should say to her. I also wondered what she would say about the things that happened. She might get mad at me or something like that. I felt like my life was messed up. My parents always said to me "Love isn't the key to your problems" but all I've been doing was trying to find love thinking that at least one problem would go away; now it seems like all my problems are back. I was by myself again and this time, I had no one to love.

I reached at the door of Alya's house and knocked on it. 

"Mommy, ladybug is here!" I heard someone say.

"Kiara, I told you not to answer the door no matter what!" Alya screamed.

"Yeah Kiara, follow directions." Another girl said.

"Shut up Nia!" Kiara yelled at her.

Alya slapped her face. 

"Ugh, this is why I can't deal with these kids." Alya said.

"At least they have someone to talk to and they won't be bothering you." I said while slightly laughing.

"Anyways, let's go to my room. Nino can handle the kids."

"B-but-" Nino said nervously.

"I'm not done with you yet, dad." Nia said doing an evil grin.

Alya grabbed my hand and quickly rushed to her room trying to avoid the scene.

"What's up?" Alya said.

"Oh uhm-" I said nervously.

"Girl, you can talk to me about anything, it won't change anything between us."

"Yes, it will Alya, my life is a mess!"

"Don't say that."

"IT IS, ADRIEN AND I ARE DIVORCING AND ARIA WENT INSIDE OF A COMA BECAUSE SHE BROKE THE PEACOCK MIRACULOUS AND USED IT!" I screamed while crying.

Ayla looked at me shocked.

"It wasn't your faul-"

"YES, IT IS! AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW I CAN FIX IT BECAUSE ALL I DO IS JUST CAUSE PROBLEMS BETWEEN PEOPLE AND ME. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY YOU LET ME INSIDE OF YOUR HOUSE EVEN THOUGH I'VE IGNORED YOU FOR LIKE A WHOLE YEAR NOT, I AM THE WORST FRIEND THAT SOMEONE COULD ASK FOR AND NOW ADRIEN PROBALY BELIEVES IT TOO!"

"Marinette, I know you as a problem solver, not a doubter. Go back to Adrien and really prove to him that you have changed! You were crazy over Adrien; you did everything you could do just to be with him. You helped him tell his father that he isn't interested in modeling anymore! Now prove to him that you are willing to do anything just to be a happy family with Aria again. And this time, treat Aria better!" 

"A-Alya, he won't say yes! I ruined our family because I was scared to tell Aria the truth."

"Listen Marinette, that was this past. This is the future, our future! If you focus on the past, you will never be able to see what you are capable of. Now, be the Marinette that I know."

"Alya, I feel like I am inside high school again trying to date Adrien!"

"What did I tell you about thinking of the past?"

"But Alya-"

"Adrien was your past! Find someone else that will always be by your side no matter what. Try your best not to let anyone down.  The future is in your hands, Marinette. Now prove to Adrien right now that you couldn't care less about him!"

"But Adrien will hate me and when Aria comes out of her coma, she might only want to stay with Adrien and not me-"

"You are her mother; you get to pick what is best for her but remember, don't mess up this time."

"I guess your right Alya, but... WHAT IF IT DOESN'T WORK!"

"OMG, GIRL, STOP DOUBTING YOURSELF AND CHILL!"

"Okay, okay. BUT WHAT IF-"

"SHUT UP!"

"Okay Alya, I'll get going now. Thank you so much for the advice!"

"You're welcome."

She walked me to the door.

"Also, Alya." I said.

"Yeah?"

"What if the whole world hates me?"

"Omg-"

"What if they think I am a bad person?"

"Then I'll be your only friend, pls leave before I scream-"

Alya slammed the door on my face. 

I am so glad to have a friend like her. Maybe I should just talk to Adrien about what happened and maybe we can get together again or maybe we could just be friends for the safe side.

I started walking towards my house. I was glad that Adrien wasn't there. If he was there, he would probably be packing up to leave the house.

I decided to walk outside because I didn't want to be alone in my house. 

While I was walking, I saw someone I didn't want to see and the worst thing was that Adrien was next to them too.

"HOW COULD YOU?!" A voice said to me.

I looked around and I saw someone who I hated so much. It was... Lila.

"How could I what?" I said acting like I didn't do anything.

"YOU HURT ADRIEN, STOP ACTING LIKE AN IDIOT!" Lila said.

"I didn't hurt him, he choose to make the past hurt him."

"I KNEW I WAS MADE FOR HIM BUT HIS FATHER WOULDN'T BELIEVE SO!"

"Lila, you can't just get it from one side of the story. I tried to protect my daughter by putting discipline on her and I tried to keep the truth away from her so we could live a happy life! Adrien only saw the bad about me doing that and now he blames me for her death! I don't care if you guys believe me or not but that is what actually happened." 

"I don't listen to liars." Lila said in a made tone.

What the hell? Is it opposite day or what?? Like Lila is the liar, not me-.

"Girl, you know for a fact that you are the only person who lies here." I said in a sassy tone.

"Adrien, do something! She always tries to frame me for lying like am I lying right now?" Lila said.

"Well uh, you did lie A LOT inside of the past..." Adrien said nervously.

"I'm talking about now!"

"And I am also talking about now too! I am changed I swear." Cutting into their conversation.

"Marinette, you did ruin our family." Adrien said pleasantly.

"AND YOUR RUINING ME RIGHT NOW!" I said while running away in tears. 

I. hate. Adrien. I WISH HE COULD JUST DIE!
