TWENTY NINE
HEE HEE!

SITTING IN THE LIMA BEAN, half of the new directions were discussing their love for Michael Jackson. They were gathered around a small coffee table, listening to each other's stories intently.

"Favourite Michael Jackson memory, go." Blaine challenged, looking directly at Violet first.

She pondered it for a moment, sitting up right excitedly once it came to her. "When I was eight, my mom forgot to pick me up from school, and there was a car parked down the road, blaring Billie Jean. Been in love with it ever since." She beamed.

Rachel shrugged, letting out a little hmph. "I have to be honest, I never really got him." She spoke, getting death glares in return.

Artie shook his head in intense disapproval, resting his head on Violets shoulder with a fake sob. "We are no longer on speaking terms." He uttered.

Violet stared at her with a doe eyed frown, feeling her heart break at her crazy words. "I didn't think it was possible to hate someone this much."

Artie lifted his head, waving his hand to agree with Violets statement. "Preach."

Rachel fixed her posture, getting ready to defend herself. "I think he's an amazing performer, i just never really got what he was about." She shrugged.

"I can't believe I was starting to like you." Violet breathed out, sharing a look of disbelief with Santana.

"I would throw this mocha in your face, but it's not nearly scalding enough." Santana threatened.

Rachel put her hands up in a defensive manner, avoiding looking at her friends. "Well, since you guys are so jazzed about him, I think it's a good idea for Regionals." She caved, which lead to Violet quite literally bowing at her feet.

"I take it all back, I love you." She cooed, grabbing her head and kissing her hair.

"That might not be the best idea." A voice spoke behind Artie, causing Violet to trip while trying to turn to face him.

"Stranger danger." Violet pointed at him, as if accusing him of something, and Blaine had to quietly shush her, and pull her down next to him.

"Does he live here, or something?" Kurt scoffed, looking at Blaine. "Seriously, he is always here." He whispered to Violet. She nodded in agreement, despite never having seen him.

"Why don't you think that's a good idea?" Artie wondered, sharing a quick look with Violet, who just shrugged in response.

Sebastian smirked, locking his jaw briefly. "Because, we're doing MJ for Regionals." He stated, matter of factly. "You see, the Warblers drew first position. So as soon as I heard what your plan was, I changed our set list accordingly."

"I-I'm sorry, how did you hear?" Rachel curiously looked up at him, trying her best to smile.

"Blaine told me this morning."

Violet turned to him with a hurtful frown, pulling her hand out of his. "Are you kidding me?" She sweetly asked through gritted teeth.

Blaine covered his face, embarrassed about the whole situation, and feeling guilty about letting their plans slip. "I might've said something about it."

"Who's side are you on?" Violet stressfully croaked, softly elbowing his arm.

"Yours! I'm on your side, I promise!" He screeched. Violet shook her head with a scowl, folding her arms over her chest and avoiding eye contact with him.

"I feel so betrayed." She muttered.

In the choir room, Violet had her legs swung across Sam's, her head resting on his shoulder while he rubbed her legs softly. She was letting out a gruff, annoyed sigh every second minute, but finding it hard to stay annoyed with Sam right there.

"We don't need Michael to win." Sam muttered, placing a kiss on her forehead. "We have you."

Violet stifled a laugh, hiding her head in the crook of his neck. "You really know how to make a girl swoon." She mused.

Sam adjusted his arms, bringing Violet up onto his lap. "I just like seeing you smile." He whispered, placing another kiss on her cheek.

"Hee Hee." She snorted.

Sam chortled, throwing his head back. "You always manage to ruin our sweet moments." He jabbed, tickling her sides lightly.

"You love me for it." She whispered, nuzzling her head into his neck. He smiled, resting his head on hers and making sure she was comfortable. "That i do."

Artie stressfully wheeled himself into the choir room, Rory trudging right behind him. "They can have our Journey, and our Dream Girls — but pilfering my Michael? Uh uh, that's another level of not okay." He sassed, as he placed himself beside the happy couple.

"I'm not exactly comfortable having this conversation with Blaine in the room." Puck spoke, eyeing said boy with a look of disgust. "Clearly 'once a Warbler' always a Warbler."

Confused, Blaine looked to Violet with a sheepish frown. She sighed, standing up from her seat on Sam to scold Puck. "Leave him alone."

"He told them what we were gonna do." He tried to defend his frustration, but she wasn't having any of it.

"Believe it or not, Puck, people tend to share things with their friends." She shrugged. "Just because he's a New Direction now, doesn't mean he has to cut the Warblers out of his life."

"Thank you, Violet." Blaine sincerely smiled at her, grabbing his backpack and moving to sit on the other side of her and Sam.

Lucas Diaz was having trouble accessing his romantic side, and so, he sent an emergency text to Violet. He hadn't really made an effort to get to know anyone else in the glee club — due to the fact that they were already a little family, and he was the random stranger that shows up at a family get together.

Violet was more than happy to help him out, but of course she had Sam glued to her, and couldn't go to the auditorium unless he was with her.

They skipped into the auditorium hand in hand, hysterically laughing over Violets terrible impressions — her only goal being to make Sam laugh, which she easily succeeded in.

"Why is it to bright?" Sam croaked, while blocking his eyes from the bright lights on the stage. "It's like we're on the sun."

"Except it's pretty cold." Violet pointed out with a little shiver.

Luke smiled at the happy couple, running down the steps of the stage to get closer to them. Since he wasn't so close with Sam, his focus stayed on Violet — which Sam found suspicious and quickly panicked.

"Oh no.." He murmured. "Is this your way of trying to win Violet back? Please don't do this to me." He begged, frowning dramatically at the boy, hoping he'd feel bad for him and back off. "I was starting to think you weren't so bad."

Violet snorted, clutching Sam's arm for support. "Yeah, i'm sure our three week long relationship was very life changing for him." She mused, slipping her hand in his.

"This is for Mercedes." Lucas awkwardly muttered, rocking back and forth in his heals. "I'm just not sure if she'll like it."

"I'm sure she'd appreciate keeping her eyesight, and staying away from blinding lights." Violet suggested, shrugging her shoulders. "But..I don't know her that well, so i'm not too sure."

Luke huffed, looking over his shoulder at the excruciatingly bright 'MERCEDES' on the back of the stage. "Too much?" He sheepishly asked her.

"For Mercedes? No way." Violet shook her head, patting his arm. "This is the stuff she lives for."

"I just..I heard she broke up with Shane." He told her, yet it came off like more of a question.

Violet nodded her head yes, smiling at the thought of them getting together. "As a long time friend of hers, i'm legally not allowed to tell you why, but you should go for it." She sang the last part, swaying both her and Sam's body, side to side.

"I would suggest a double date, but i still feel like you have some evil, alterer motive to win Violet over." Sam drawled, smiling at him with straight lips.

Violet hissed — in a non weird way — and clapped her hands together. "Double dates are reserved for Tina and Mike, anyways."

"Well." Sam breathed, draping an arm around Violets shoulder. "If you'll excuse us, we had plans to make out—until you interrupted us."

They began walking out of the auditorium the way they came, and Luke couldn't help but gush at how Sam whispered little things in her ears, which drove her crazy. Never having been romantically involved with anyone, he wasn't sure how to approach the whole subject. What if Mercedes thought he was being creepy, or rude? Sam made it look so easy.

Although, Sam and Violet do have their fair share of awkward glances, and constant nerves. That's just how it is when you're in love.

The New Directions had confronted the Warblers, and of course it ended terribly for them. Blaine Anderson left the sing off with an injured eye, and Violet twisted her ankle when Sebastian tripped her over.

They were both currently sat on Blaine's bed, watching reruns of friends while they talked badly about the Warblers evil leader.

"He is the spawn of satan, i am telling you." Violet informed him, crossing her arms with a pout. "Look up 'evil' in the dictionary, it's a picture of him."

Blaine blew an involuntary huff of air through his nose at he ranting, just nodding along to whatever she had to say—and occasionally muttering a 'yeah'.

"Isn't there a 'non bullying' rule at Dalton?" She asked, turning her entire body to face Blaine.

Blaine sighed, dropping his body sideways, and putting all his weight on Violet. "What if I never see again?" He croaked, burying himself further into the bed, and Violet's hold.

Violet frowned, pulling her arm out from under his back, and stroking his hair. "It's just your right eye, you won't be completely blind." She tried to assure him.

He huffed again, letting out a few strangled cries. Violet let out a quiet gasp, rubbing his head more aggressively — her attempt at consoling him. "You'll be fine, Blaine."

"What if i'm not?"

Violet sniffled, resting her head on his and joining in on his pity party. "You're right..and what if my ankle never heals?"

Blaine's eyes widened at the thought, and he jumped up from his spot beside his best friend. "We can't let that happen, Violet. You love your ankles! — well, you love dancing, but.. also your ankles...in a normal way, not a weird, fetish way."

Violet let out a choked cackle, rolling over on her side to ease the laughing ache in her stomach—but instead she fell off the bed, and onto the floor.

This only caused them to both laugh even harder, grasping at every chance to be able to breathe. "Why do you make everything weird?!" Violet croaked.

Slightly offended, Blaine leaned over her side of the bed to get a better look at her. His mouth was agape, and he was narrowing his one good eye. "I do not!"

Violet brought her face closer to his, smacking her hands on either side of his face. "Yes you do." She cooed in her best baby talk voice.

Blaine huffed, falling on his back and pulling the entire duvet over him. "I was gonna ask you to stay over, but never min—" he was cut off by a pillow being thrown at him, causing him to huff louder.

"Like you would survive one night without me." She mocked, climbing back up onto the bed.

Blaine sighed, letting his smile win over his face, and pulling the covers down to show his face. "I so could." He defensively challenged.

Violet hummed, sitting her legs in a basket position. "Let's test that, shall we?"

Blaine's eyes darted around the room, thinking of any reason as to why it would be a bad idea. He took in a hesitant breath, rolling his eyes. "Fine."

Violet stood up from the bed, collecting the very few things she had brought over—obviously expecting that she would end up sleeping over. She slipped into her shoes, and gave Blaine a quick hug.

"Let's see how long you last."

Back at school, Violet was sitting on the bathroom sinks, skipping her Art class—despite it being her favourite class, so she could study for an upcoming Math test. It was her least favourite subject, but she couldn't fail another one of those pointless exams.

After resting her ankle up for a whole day, her mother, Clara, wouldn't let het take another day off for a very minor injury. And to add to her mental anguish, Blaine still hadn't caved—almost twenty four hours without each other, and he seemed to be doing fine.

The squeaky door opening pulled Violet from her pitiful thoughts, focusing her attention on the blonde strutting in with a smile.

Quinn's eyes furrowed once she saw Violet, skipping over to her. "Why aren't you in class? It's not like you to skip." She softly wondered, placing a gentle hand on her friends bare thigh. "Is there something wrong?"

Violet shook her head with a tight lipped smile. "Just wondering why someone thought inventing Math was a good idea. It does not bring me happiness, Quinn!"

Quinn stifled a laugh, scrunching her nose. She started swaying her body from side to side, a large grin taking over her face. "Well, I have good news." She whispered.

Violet dropped her books, leaning forward to be closer to the blonde. "Are you getting rid of Math when you become president?"

Quinn gnawed on her bottom lip, shaking her head. "I got into Yale!" She beamed, pulling Violet off the sinks to force her into a jumpy excitement.

Violet screeched, throwing herself into Quinn's arms. "Quinn, that's amazing!" She pulled back briefly, giving Quinn a chance to show her the letter.

"You really deserve this." She smiled. "More than anyone, probably."

"I'm so glad i told you first." Quinn gushed.

The door squeaked open for a second time, and this time it was Santana. She strut in with her arms crossed over her chest, not giving Quinn a second glance before telling her to leave. "Out." She simply said.

Quinn listened, giving Violets arm one more excited squeeze, before heading back to class.

"Vi, you've been down all day, and I can't have that." Santana softly spoke, leaning against the sinks. "So, what's going on in that head of yours?"

Violet breathed in deeply, resting her bottom lip between her teeth. "I want to get back at Sebastian."

Santana smirked, raising her eyebrows. "I didn't think you were capable of even thinking about it." She took a step closer to Violet. "So, how do you wanna do it?"

Violet smiled, regaining her excitement, and using her hands to paint an invisible picture to the cheerleader. "I was thinking—we break into his house while he's sleeping, and shave his head!"

Santana tilted her head to the side, grinding her teeth together, and looking at her best friend like she had three extra heads.

"—or, we could draw whiskers on his face!" Violet continued, really trying her best. "with permanent marker..."

The cheerleader closed her eyes tightly for a brief moment, moving beside Violet to look at them both through the mirror. She wrapped one arm around her shoulder, and gave it a little shake.

"It is so cute when you try to stoop to my level."
