“ Okay! What are you going to do today?!” Vor said, a determined look on her face.

Eraqus had a determined look as well as he said, “ Ask Xehanort out!”

“ And how will you do that?” she said

“ By….er….asking him..?” he said, a bit unsure

“ And what are you NOT going to do?” she asked, crossing her arms

“...chicken out like the last attempt…” he said, his ears red in embarrassment. 

“ Good, now what are the things we told you to do?” Urd asked, crossing her arms with a raised eyebrow.

“ I go to him after his afternoon class, wear something a little bit nice, then possibly bribe him with something he loves, like a frappuccino or tea or a book, or even flowers, and ask him out on a date! And then, after that, possibly become boyfriends!” he said, remembering the plan. 

“ Good,” Urd said, giving a nod, in approval. “ I believe you are ready.” 

“ Yeah, you can do it, buddy!” Hermod said, ruffling his hair.

Eraqus blushed brightly as he asked, “ A-Are you guys still sure about this..?” he said, still nervous, “ W-What if because I ask him out, I ruin our friendship and he hates me then?! He’ll never talk to me again and treat me like I’m nothing and-”

“ ERAQUS.” The three of them said, snapping him out of it with an unamused look as he nervously laughed, “ R-Right...d-don’t overthink everything when it hasn’t happened yet...hehe..” he sweated dropping. 

“ Now, what outfit are you going to wear?” Urd asked.

Eraqus looked down at his outfit and said, looking back up, “ I was planning on wearing my normal outfit-”

“ No! You are not wearing your training clothes to ask him out!” Vor said, slamming her hands on the table, making him jump a bit. 

“ Why not? The isn’t anything wrong with them-”

“ Yes, there is! You need to look nice if you’re going to ask him out, you need to look nice! Hermod!” Vor looked over at the blue-haired man as he said dragging Eraqus away, “ On it.”

….

“ Now go and get him!” Vor said, “ You got this!” she cheered him on after he was in his new outfit. 

“ Y-Yeah! I’ve got this!” he said, trying to be positive, as he started to run ahead.

He then came back and said, looking scared, “ Nope. Don’t got it. I can’t do it.” he said, too scared, “ Please do it for me instead.” 

“ Eraqus...your all giving us anxiety…” Vor groaned. Urd stood up, grabbed him by the shoulders, and placed him outside the door. 

“ Goodbye Eraqus, go and get your true love. We all believe in you.” she told him as he panicked and said, “ W-Wait Urd-!”

She shut the door to their dorm and said through the door, “You’re not allowed back in till you either ask him out or you have to come back because of rules. Now get!”

….

‘...isn’t this too much?’ Eraqus thought to himself, tugging at his dress shirt collar. He wore a white dress shirt with black jeans with a nice pair of dress shoes. He also held some of Xehanort’s favorite flowers, cosmos.

He looked at his phone for a moment and saw that the class Xehanort was supposed to come out of ended in 10 minutes. ‘ If I remember correctly...he should be in this class and getting out of class soon…’

He looked nervous as he gulped, muttering under his breath, “ All I have to do is ask Xeha out on a date...i-it shouldn’t be too hard…”

He then started panicking as he held the flowers tightly as he started overthinking things, his heart beating even faster and harder by the second, “ What if he hates me for asking? Would this ruin our friendship? What if he never talks to me again?!’

‘ SHOULD I NOT ASK HIM?!’

He then paused and looked at the flowers and muttered, “ Is this enough for bribery??”

….

He came back to where he once was before, now holding a drink, going over his mental checklist,’ Ok, got the cosmo flowers he loves, so check...and I also got him a mocha frappuccino. One pump of Hazelnut, cream with a caramel drizzle, the way he likes it...and also just in case he tries to throw something at me, I came with something he won’t try and kill me since I hold things he loves…’

He looked at the drink before he took a quick sip from smiling as he said under his breath, “ Damn that’s good..okay, now I’m ready..”

The bell rang as the door opened as he saw people walking out and saw the one person he was here for. His cheeks turned pink as he was in the middle of reading something as he walked, his book bag on his shoulder as Eraqus could hear his heart beating again, as Xehanort flipped a page in his book. 

‘ I almost forget every time how beautiful he is...how do you breath again..?’

Eraqus smiled as he carefully balanced the flowers he had in his elbow and held the drink in his hand as he was about to call out to him.

“ Xehanort! Hey, do you have a minute?” He saw a guy with blond hair and brown eyes, with glasses who was around their age walk up to Xehanort as Eraqus quickly went to the wall to avoid being seen as he watched them with big eyes, asking himself, ‘ Who’s that? A new classmate?...and why am I hiding?’

The guy smiled at Xehanort and said, “ Thanks for last night.” he said, his cheeks pink as Xehanort gave a faint nod, closing his book.“ Sure, it was no big deal.” 

Eraqus was beyond confused as he was asking himself. ‘ What happened last night?? He didn’t come stargazing with me last night or anything and left me hanging!’

Eraqus’s eyes then widened as he then saw the guy then gently grab Xehanorts neck as Xehanort widened his eyes as well as the guy kissed him deeply as Eraqus stared in shock as he nearly dropped the flowers in shock

‘ Is...Is he taken..?!’

He saw Xehanort not moving as they were still kissing in a bit of shock as he asked himself in his head, ‘ Is Xehanort taken? I’ve read enough of those stupid romance books growing up to know that this is supposedly the part where I run off oh so dramatically and some misunderstanding happens…’

He stared at them with a forced smile as he thought to himself, ‘ So nope! I’m just gonna stand right here, I ain’t moving.’ 

They were still kissing as Eraqus sweatdropped as he asked himself again, muttering “ Okay, are y’all done yet? It’s been like what, a century. Move on already.’ 

The guy pulled back, his cheeks a pink color as Xehanort was not saying anything, looking somewhat shocked

‘ Finally!....oh crap, this is pretty awkward...maybe I should come back later?’ Eraqus thought to himself before his hold on the drink tightened a bit as he thought, ‘ No...Not until I know who that boy is.’

Xehanort then saw something in the corner of his eye and saw Eraqus, kind of shocking him, “ Eraqus?! What are you doing here? I thought you had study hall for the next two hours.” he asked, confused as Eraqus felt a bit shy and tried to say, “ I...uh…”

Xehanort looked at him slightly worried and concerned as he asked, “ How long have you been standing there Era?” he used his nickname for him as Eraqus forced a smile and said, “ I...I just got here! I just went for a quick walk and thought I would say hello before you head to your next class!” he said, hiding the drink and flowers behind his back.

Xehanort raised an eyebrow saying, confused “ ‘ Quick Walk?’ Dude, this is on the other side of the school. That isn’t a quick walk. It takes like almost forty minutes just to get to this side of the school. What brought you here?” he asked.

The guy stared at Eraqus before holding Xehanorts hand saying, “ Hi, it’s so nice to meet you! Do you mind if I talk to you for a minute Xehanort?” he asked in a sweet voice. The guy stared at Eraqus with a glare.

‘ That glare...is he like marking his territory or something? Dang dude, calm down…’ he sweat dropped as he saw with a nervous laugh, “ I think that’s up to Xehanort to decide. I’m not his owner haha.” he laughed a bit.

Xehanort looked a the guy as the guy said with a sweet smile, “ I’m sure you don’t mind, do you Xehanort?” he asked him

Xehanort looked at Eraqus and asked, “ Do you mind waiting Eraqus? I’ll be right back.” he told him.

Eraqus was kind of shocked for a moment as he recalled memories when Xehanort first arrived, they star gazing together, them attempting to bake and them playing chess together, them getting into trouble for silly pranks and them having a lot of memories together, and it looked like to him he was Xehanort’s number one priority. 

‘ Ever since he got to Scala Al Caleum...no matter who he was talking or walking within the halls..he would always make me his number one priority alongside his studies, and we would tell each other practically everything.....but then again, he has been busy since we’re supposed to be taking the qualification for us to take the Mark of Mastery soon...he wanted me to wait...so this guy must be more important than me...so then...I won’t stand in the way Xehanort…’ 

Eraqus had a smile as he said, “ Yeah, sure. I was just about to head back anyway, so I can continue studying, I’ll see you later then.” 

Xehanort glared at him and said, as he started to be pulled away by the other guy, “ No! Stay right where you are! You better not move an inch!” he warned him.

Eraqus then moved a couple of inches as he said in a teasing tone, “ Ooooh~ I done moved two inches! Whatcha gonna do about it~” he said with a playful look. 

Xehanort gave him an unamused look as he said, “ I’m serious! I come back and you’re not here, I swear to Kingdom Hearts I’m going to hunt you down and whoop your as-”

“ Okay, geez dude, I get it, just go! I’ll be right here.” he told him, his hands behind his head as Xehanort walked away with the guy as he muttered under his breath, “ So bossy..”

“ I HEARD THAT!” Xehanort shouted as Eraqus evilly smirked as he said, “ GOOD!” laughing hard. 

He saw them gone, he was unable to see them as he then started screaming/panicking loudly in his head as he clutched his head in horror.

‘ THIS IS SO AWKWARD!!! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!??!’ he screamed in his head. 

He grabbed his phone as he thought to himself, ‘ I should tell the others and know that this mission is a failure!’

Just as he was about to send a text, his phone shut off, as he forgot to charge his phone the night before, so it died on him. He froze as he groaned out loud, “ This day is going great isn’t it?!” he asked himself in a sarcastic voice himself. 

….

“ Soo….problem. We didn’t know that Xehanort had a boyfriend.” Vor said, as they were watching from a distance, as Eraqus was panicking in the hall.

Urd said, “ Yes, it would appear we made a miscommunication with Bragi. I believe he said Xehanort was single...so it’s possible A. He didn’t know, or B. He lied to us.” she said

“ C’mon guys, maybe it’s not what we think…” Hermod said but then got angry and said, “ But if it is, then we’re all talking with Xehanort and Bragi.”

“ Agreed.” both girls said at the same time as they kept waiting for Xehanort to come back as Eraqus was slowly calming down for a bit.

“...at least Eraqus hasn’t run off yet, so we can at least be proud of that, even though it is awkward,” Vor said in a somewhat positive tone.

…

It had been almost ten minutes since they left as Eraqus leaned against the balcony beam, the drink sat on the beam alongside the cosmo flowers as Eraqus was a bit down as he asked, “ What’s taking Xehan so long?...kinda wonder what their talking bout..”  

He started to think of a situation where Xehanort told the guy, “ That was my annoying clingy roommate and classmate. Sorry, he ruined our moment.”

The guy would then start to say, “ Well, I’m your boyfriend now! Don’t talk to him again.”

Then Xehanort would say, “ Please, wasn’t going to anyway.” 

“ NOOOOOO!!” He yelled loudly, there was barely anyone in the hallways as he held his hair tightly, freaking out and panicking loudly now, bending down on the ground. 

‘Whether Xehanort and I want to date or not, I don’t want to lose him as a friend!! WHAT DO I DO?!?!’

Above him, Xehanort stared at him slightly amused and confused as Eraqus didn’t notice him

“...” Xehanort said nothing at first but then said, “ Carry on. Get all the crazies out of your system.” he told him as Eraqus then looked at him, a bit of relief in his eyes, “ Xehanort! You’re back!” as he stood back up, grabbing the drink.

“ Yeah, but why are you here idiot?” he asked with a raised eyebrow as he put a hand on his hip, looking and then looked at Eraqus outfit, “ And why are you all dressed up anyway?” he asked, noticing the nice dress shirt and dress pants in nice shoes as Eraqus didn’t know what to say, “ I-um..uh…”

“ Wait, are you wearing a dress shirt with a couple of buttons unbuttoned? Who are you trying to seduce, huh?” he asked, walking towards him, slightly teasing him. 

‘ Initially, YOU! Is it working? I mean, shut up right side of my brain! He might have a boyfriend!’

“Uhhhhh…” Eraqus didn’t know what to say.

“ You also had cosmos with you just now. Why are you here, Eraqus?” he asked, raising an eyebrow

Eraqus slightly panicked as he said, in a playful voice, “ Can’t a guy dress up for fun without being questioned?” he asked nervously laughing, “ Who was that guy just now Xeha?” 

 “ Um...Xeha?” Xehanort as leaning towards him, making Eraqus confused while blushing brightly as Xehanort was leaning in closer as Eraqus thought for a moment maybe Xehanort was going to kiss him as Xehanort then grabbed his wrist and then took a couple of sips from the frappuccino Eraqus had gotten for him as Eraqus cursed in his mind, angry at himself for thinking it was going to be a kiss.

Eraqus blushed even redder when he saw the straw in-between Xehanorts lips as he then covered his mouth and half of his face with his other hand 

‘ Ok….How do I become a straw?! Why is he so hot?!’

Xehanort pulled away holding the cup, looking happy as he said, “ Yum! A mocha frappuccino. one pump of Hazelnut, cream with a caramel drizzle, the way I like it!” he said, as Eraqus stuttered a bit, “ A-Ah! Yeah! All yours. Got it just for you!” he told him smiling, his face bright red. 

Xehanort looked at him, slightly amused, his cheeks dusted pink as he asked, “ For me? Don’t waste money you barely have on me like that…”

He then started to play with Eraqus hair then asking, “ Anyways, answer my question. Who are you all dressed up for, huh? Also, did you use expensive cologne? Are you asking someone out on a date or something?” he asked with a raised eyebrow as Eraqus was blushing even brighter, but was thinking about the situation

‘ It would be too awkward if he does have a boyfriend..and then finds out I was here to ask him out on a date..’ 

He backed away, his hands behind his head with a smile saying, “ Yeah, maybe I was going to ask someone out~” he said.

Eraqus watched as Xehanort looked lowkey pissed as he asked himself, ‘ Is it just me, or is he lowkey pissed? Did I say something wrong? Fudge I think I did….but then again, he always has a resting face...so..’

“ Anywho! Who was that guy just now Xeha?” he asked, curious, and a bit nervous with his answer.

Xehanort looked at him slightly amused, a small smirk on his face, as he went on his phone. 

“ Shh! Guys listen! We might find out who this guy is to Xehanort!” Vor hissed to Urd and Hermod as they both shut up to listen to what Xehanort was going to say.

“ He’s…none of your business.” he said, playful smirking at him as Eraqus looked unamused holding up a hand as he warned him, “ Talk crap, get slapped.”

He scoffed, laughing a bit as he told him, “ He’s...blocked.” he told him, blocking the guys number as Eraqus looked at him, not knowing what to say for a moment but then said in ‘disappointment “ Oh no. That’s so sad...why?” he said

Xehanort looked at him even more amused as he said, “ You don’t look sad, liar.” he said pulling his cheek.

Eraqus playfully swatted his hand away, as he asked, rubbing his cheek, “ Wait, then why did you pull him away just now?” he asked, confused.

“ Well..that’s because…”

Five minutes prior…

‘ This should be far enough away that Eraqus can’t hear us…’ Xehanort thought to himself, as he stood with the guy outside, making sure they were far away from Eraqus. 

“ That was the guy you always talk about? Eraqus, your best friend, right?” he asked with a smile, his cheeks red. 

The guy smirked inside, as he thought to himself, ‘ He ditched his best friend for me. I’m important.’

Xehanort stared at the guy coldly, as he told him in an emotionless voice, “ Delete my number.”

The guy was shocked as he asked in a meek voice. “ I’m sorry...what?”

“ Delete my number, and don’t go anywhere near me again, or talk to me,” Xehanort told him in a cold and emotionless voice. 

The guy was still in shock as he said, “ W-Wait, but I thought you liked me..I-I-”

“ You thought wrong,” Xehanort told him, staring at him disgusted. 

As Xehanort left the male behind, he thought to himself, ‘ I pulled him away because I might or might not make him cry..and I didn’t want to have Eraqus lecture me for being mean…

Present time...

“ Anway’s he’s this guy in my class, he asked for help a couple of times with studying and homework. He mistook it as flirting.” Xehanort explained to Eraqus, as he looked pretty pissed. “ He just assaulted me with a kiss, so now, he’s blocked.”

“ Oh, okay...I see.” Eraqus understood what he was saying.

“ Oh, that makes sense now…” Urd muttered as they kept watching from a distance.

‘ So that means Xehanort’s single! Yes! That means I can ask him out!’ Eraqus cheered in his mind, smiling brightly. 

“ Hey, Xehanort I actually came to ask-”

“ You know what’s annoying? When people ask me out.” Xehanort told him, as he went through his phone.

Eraqus froze hearing that his smile still on his face as Vor, Urd, and Hermod all froze as well. The four of them thought one thing.

‘ Well, f**k.’

Xehanort then turned his phone to Eraqus as he said, smiling“ I have a whole list of people who asked me out. I don’t have time for their freaking romance, you know? Check this out.” he said, showing his blocked people list.

Eraqus was in shock by how long the list was as he thought to himself, going even paler, ‘ Holy shit the list is a mile long! RIP fallen compadres. I mean, y’all deserved it for trying to take Xehanort but still…’ Eraqus briefly looked at Xehanort and saw him smiling still at him. ‘ Stop smiling you ice demon.’ 

Xehanort then said, “ Oh, sorry, were you saying something? I didn’t mean to interrupt-”

“ NOPE! HAHAHA!!” Eraqus laughed loudly, looking scared as he asked in a meek voice, “ Please don’t block me..haha…”

Xehanort was confused, but also amused as he said, “ Block you? Why would I do that? You’re my best friend after all.” he said. 

Eraqus said nothing as they heard a loud boom from the sky outside, as the rain started to dump down on them.

‘ Just...a best friend huh?’

They then heard over the intercoms say, “ Due to the unforeseen weather, all afternoon classes have been canceled. Please return to your dorms.”

“ Oh crap, it’s going to take us almost forty minutes to get back to the dorms!” Eraqus panicked, as Xehanort said, “ Damn, it’s started pouring out of nowhere…”

“ Don’t worry, I know a shortcut. We can head back to our room faster and get out of this weather.” Xehanort offered as Eraqus decided to be playful as he said, “ Fine, geez, whatever you insist Xeha~” he teased him a bit.

Xehanort pushed him a little, saying, “ Stand a little further out into the Thunder Strike zone.” he said, laughing a bit as Eraqus laughed.

As they started to walk away, Xehanort noticed the cosmos Eraqus had gotten still on the balcony as he asked, “ Hey, those cosmos, aren’t they yours? You going to bring them with you?” he asked him.

Eraqus looked at the flowers for a moment and thought about what Xehanort said.

‘ Friend.’

He smiled and shrugged, telling him, “ Nah, someone else can have them.” he said, putting his hands behind his head again as Xehanort looked at him surprised, “ Huh, really?”

‘ Since friendship is all you want Xehanort, I’ll gladly be just friends.” It doesn’t matter if we’re not in a relationship or anything, just as long as I have you in my life.’

Xehanort gabbed the cosmos with a smile, putting them on his shoulder with a smile as Eraqus was confused, “ Huh? You went back for the cosmos?” he asked

“ Yeah? Why not? I like cosmos, so I shouldn’t let them go to waste.” he said with a smile. “ Now c’mon, lets get back before we get soaked to the bone and end up getting sick.” he laughed, as they walked back to their room together.
