Kid, still holding Y/n steady in his arms, turned around.

Law quietly stood behind him, some parts of his suit ripped and tarnished. The raven easily read the expression on the red's face and in a candid but accusatorily tone, spoke: "Joker is on to us."

"Someone turned against us." Kid eventually added, grinding with his teeth. He hated traitors more than weakness. It only meant for the person that it was dependable on other's power and needed the mental support.

Law, gripping his sword, skipped towards the other male. His face was wiped away of all sarcasm. "Kid, it's not like someone turned against us. It's more like he sent a spy, so the person who was responsible for this already knew what the conditions were. First one was supposedly, if we are logically guessing, to affirm if we stuck our noses in his business. And as we can see, it was correctly judged. The second was to locate which family hold Y/n-ya's whereabouts." Law looked at him under his forehead. "Also...correctly judged. Now it brings us to the third condition that the particular specimen had to perform. And it's certainly wasn't just to simply kidnap Y/n. That would be too boring for a guy like Doflamingo. He needs fun. Chaos. So, what is the perfect thing to do in this situation?"

"...To let us know that he is acquaintance with our plan." Kid concluded, veins pulsing in his neck. "And as well shows off with his newly developed strategy. Overpowered human beings with short life expectancy. When they die, not a trace is left behind them, as if they had never existed. "

Law briefly nodded, the golden orbs dangerously flashing. "With this, the possibility of our hypothesis being right hovers a high rank."

They would have discuss this further if it wasn't for the small fidgeting Kid felt in his arms. The warmth had strangely increased in matter of seconds. It didn't took him long to send the raven an alerting look.

"Law, it's your turn now. Heal her. We'll talk about this later. If what we said was true, then we'll have to be precautions with the remaining information we have."

"Bring her to the emergency room then."

Finally reaching the dull, brown door, Kid carefully laid Y/n on the white sheets of the enormous bed. The entire room was in total contrast from those in the hospital. It was spacious, the equipment brand new. The heart monitors, oxygen masks, sterilized tools were nonchalantly placed in their special area, everything neatly decorated. The only similarity was the smell of disinfectant.

Penguin and Shachi, the two subordinates of Law's family, tagged along, claiming that they also have a certificate for medical first-aid.

The red not arguing with the annoying raven's examining of the unconscious girl, nevertheless felt anger and hostility towards the latter. I was unbarring for him.

There were minutes of total silence where only Y/n's deep breathing resonated through the white, now only with the natural light, illuminated room.

"Penguin, scissors..." Law cut the stained part of Y/n's dress. Kid growled under his breath. "There's a lot of blood." His finger gazed on the upper skin of her arm. "Swellings and bruises." When he applied some pressure to that particular area, Y/n mutely whimpered, as if the uncomfortable feeling reached her conscious mind. "Broken bone." Law continued. "Sprain of her both wrists, cuts on her lower abdomen, light concussion. Grazes." He clicked with his tongue. "She is extremely lucky. Fortunately, the pulse is in the range of normal as well as her skin color. It doesn't hover the ladder of a sallow one."

The raven, swiftly, his hands almost working on its own, tied the wraps around Y/n's limbs, small, but visibly stiches neatly made where it was needed.

An hour passed, but it felt like decades.

"She should be out of danger." Law finally spoke, throwing the operation glows into the bin. The outside racket reached their vicinity.

"There are still some of them going wild." He murmured while scribbling something down in his skimpy writing.

Kid huffed, taking the extra gun from the cupboard into his hand. "I'll easily eliminate them."

Law lifted his chin, tearing the gaze from the white sheet. "Don't force yourself so much. You've got broken ribs, large amount of lost blood and deep wounds that can easily get infected." Law nonchalantly said. "And I know all of that just by looking at your battered body."

"Aww, you fucking care? I'm flattered." The red head mocked, the atmosphere lightening up.

Giving him a middle finger, the raven grinned. "In your dreams, Eustass-ya. I am just warning you because of Y/n. She cares, you know? " Law sighed. "I don't know why, though. You are such an egoistical bastard. "

Kid halted with his jokes, almost responding with 'back at ya', when his eyes examined the cut pale face that was lying on the bed. "She cares..." The red-head repeated, stunned by the male's confession. "Trafalgar..."

No other words were necessary. The strange, almost impossible to believe, pleading look shone from Kid's eyes.

"I'll go." Law said. Before closing the door behind him, he added: "Don't do anything stupid."

Standing above her sleeping feature, the moonlight rays hitting his back and making a blurry shadow, Kid picked up one of Y/n's strands of hair and unnoticeably twirled it between his fingers.

After a few delicate strokes, he leaned towards her, the cushion sinking under his weight. "You are mine to own, understand Y/?" He hummed. Kid's bare, injured palm caressed the soft cheek. Without applying any pressure to the intimate touch, the moment between both of them looked like a heart-breaking scene. "I broke my rules for you. That means you can't leave me." His shaking smile was replaced by a lopsided grimace. "I can't afford losing you again, Y/n. Not after you left without saying goodbye..."

The room was definitely cold, but with their combined heats, it was almost undetectable. It was like both of them were securely wrapped into a safe bubble. Kid had never believed in feelings such as these, facing them right in that moment.

If it had been someone else he would have dismissed the disgusting emotion, sneering at the person behind those petty words. But because it wasn't just anyone, he was torn apart.

Eustass got closer to the cherry colored lips,  fanning them in rhythm with his hot breath. Kid's  eyes widened, the red pigmentation turning dangerously dark.
