So hey I've noticed tons of Ben 10 like stories on here. Almost every one of them has the reader wielding the omnitrix or something of equal power, ex. Ultimatrix, alternative omnitrix. And that's cool and all, we all wished to wield the power of at least one alien from the show. Mine was ironically xlr8, I say that it's ironic since I hated running. Just thought I could get stuff done faster.

... However not one of them even takes the point of view from someone like Max. Someone whose only power lies in their capabilities. A plain human, no powers, no alien heritage, no omnitrix. Just pure human intuition and a great sense of doing what's right. Boring I know but hear me out.

NOW! That's not to say you're completely useless. After all, that wouldn't exactly make for a good story. Constantly getting kidnapped and held hostage by aliens and knights would get old quick. You'll be getting out played plenty at the start, but you ain't gonna be a pushover either.

Just know that there will be points where you will be practically in the background. That's pretty normal all things considered, in life we're all the main character of our own stories, but a background character to someone else's.

You'll see what makes you special in due time. Dunno when I'll start this but when I do we're starting at the beginning, the og in extraterrestrial awesomeness, the first summer vacation with the Tennysons!
