January 14-15

Oh Frank and Cassie appeared and Frank realized he was in his bedroom. He looked at her, "how did you pick my room?"

"When I cast the spell I asked if it was a spot where you would be safe and away from others. Plus, this room has your scent."

"Shit, I did not think of that. Thanks for the reminder." He walks over to a desk that was in the corner. He opens the bottom drawer and pulls out a spray bottle. He starts spraying it on himself. He turns to Cassie, "let me spray this on you also."

She nods consent and he sprays her.

Look"Now follow me, dad showed me secret tunnels that were only shared with first born alphas. Was told to only use or share in case of emergency. I consider this an emergency." He walked over to a panel and tapped various places. Then the wall opened on the other side of the room.

He quickly walked over and Cassie followed. "We are going toward the security room. We will need to take out the guards so they can't trigger the gas."

"Won't they see us coming?"

"No, this passage is in the hallway. The cameras are at the hallway entrance. I intentionally placed them there. My uncle never knew about these tunnels since he wasn't first born."

"Do you have any other family?"

"My dad has two more siblings. My two aunts are mated. Both of them live overseas with their mates. Last time I saw them in person was at my parents' funeral. My mom's side of the family I never met, because they disowned her."

Why would they do that?"

"Her grandfather tried to set up a chosen mate, but she had met my dad by then. My dad had been visiting a neighboring tribe of hers. When he came across her. My dad brought her here. They shunned her for not accepting her dad's choice. When my parents died my uncle came here. He took over and with me being a minor it was sanctioned by the council."

He motions Cassie to be quiet now. He reached up and flipped on a screen. He saw the hallway was empty. He turned off the lights in the tunnel and pushed a button. The screen light went off and a panel opened up.

He stuck his head out and listened. He then walked into the hall with Cassie following him. He turned around and pushed a couple places on the wall and the panel slid closed.

He walked over and opened the door. There were two Lycan who stood up and turned toward Frank and Cassie. One said, "Frank your back."

The other elbowed him and whispered, "he is no longer one of us. He is now Alpha Frank."

"I am sorry Alpha Frank."

"Where is the Beta?"

"He is standing guard outside the safe room. Just incase the king comes here to destroy us."

"Former Alpha Frank has been lying. King Jonas Thompson is a good guy. He is working to unite all supernaturals. They are trying to stop the false prophets who are breaking up true mates. Uncle Frank was supporting the false profits and trying to kill my siblings and me, so he could stay alpha."

Cassie looked at the"Do you know he has the safe room rigged for poisonous gas to be released if the warriors who went with my uncle did not fight? It will kill all inside the safe room?"

They turned toward Cassie, "what did you say?," and the other said, "why would they kill our families?"

Frank said, "enough. That is why I am here. I am going to rescue them."

"Only the former alpha, beta, gamma and commander can unlock the safe room door. Not even their mates can open the door."

"Cassie, I want you to pop outside and walk up to the gate. Demand to speak to the alpha. When they state the alpha is away, demand the Beta. Keep them distracted until I tell you they are free."

"Johnny, you will turn off all cameras except the ones you have on the beta. Follow him with the cameras. If he starts to return, set off the sprinkler system."

"Sir, why the sprinkler system?"

"My hope is it will dilute the gas if he sets it off before I can get them out."

"Sir, your uncle made it that the door can only be open with an eye scan, thumbprint pulse is detected."

"What will you be doing, Alpha Frank to get through that door?"

"I know a way around it and will be leading our tribe to safety."
