Five Things
A/N This was an assignment given to me by my social worker last Monday. I finally completed It.
Tara closed the door, back pressed against It with a sigh. Opening her silvery blue orbs, she slowly stood from the door and made her way towards her bed beside the wall and under the window. Her guitars to the left and In between her desk and shelving unit. Dropping her back In the corner against her bed, she allowed herself to fall stomach first onto the mattress awaiting. Things faded Into black.
A noise like floor exploding made Tara jolt up. Except, In front of her wasn't a mess of exploded flour. What stood In front of her with arms crossed was a male around 6'2 with black hair, slightly tanned skin and purple eyes. A light purple aura flowed around him as he uncrossed his arms from his chest.
"Five thing that make you a good friend, huh?" He questioned, grabbing her wooden desk chair and dragging It to him. He sat down on It, arms resting In his lap as he leaned forwards. "Can't think of anything, can you, kiddo?" He rose an eyebrow.
Tara shook her head. "No, Spooky. I can't. It's.. It's harder than you think." She sighed, looking down at her hands and away from him. Spooky nodded slowly. "If Its that hard, I guess we'll have to tell you." Tara rose her head at his words, curiosity shining In her eyes.
A snap of his fingers and four other brightly colored auras filled the small room. The colors died down to reveal four different people.
Red and pale blue on Spooky's right and lime green and black on his left.
The red aura was a female wearing mostly dark colors, a good covering their head and red eyes shining through the darkness.
Pale blue turned out to be a pale male with dark blue roots going to light blue ending In white tips. Lighter colored clothing and Icy blue eyes glowing. Blue striped cat ears peaking out of his hair and a blue striped cat tail.
Lime green showed a smaller girl with shoulder length black hair with neon green tips and lime green eyes. She wore black and dark green. Black and green fox ears peaking out of her hair and a black and green tail.
Black turned Into a lanky male with pale skin, dark brown-black hair and red clothing. Black eyes peering at everything.
"Why are we here?" Asked the blue haired male, voice higher pitched. "Because, Ice, Tara here doesn't know why she's a good friend." Spooky answered.
"That's because she Isn't." Spoke up the red eyed female with an eye roll, hands stuffed Into her sweater pockets. "You could try to be nice for once, Alex." Sighed the black aura, a deep, unrecognizable accent coming through. Alex glared at him. "Not my style." "Just be nice this once, okay?" Spooky glared at her sideways. "Fine." Huffed Alex.
Spooky clapped his hands, gaining everyone's attention. He leaned back Into his chair, one arm resting on the back of It. "Alright, we're gonna start with Ice and end with No-One. You all have to name something that makes Tara a good friend and give an example." He explained.
Ice breathed In, tail swaying back and forth curved like an 'S' behind him. "You're kind. Take for example the one time you helped Jesse on his trial week when Trista forgot about him. You helped him to the Cafeteria." He brought up, the memory of last year flashing In Tara's head.
Alex groaned, but stared Tara In the eyes. "You always try to be upbeat, which Is fucking annoying." She sighed. "When Emma, Angel, Sadie and you were talking and they were excited and happy and you weren't In any way. You tried to keep happy for them. So you didn't bring them down." She rolled her eyes.
Spooky turned his vibrant, glowing purple eyes from Alex to Tara. He sat up straighter. "Kiddo, you're an awfully good listener. Your friends go to you for help, you listen to them and offer help where you can. Like Adrien, he talks to you about his Issues and you listen." Spooky gave a smile. "Emma does as well, you two are sisters from different mothers. You two love each other and tell each other everything."
Willow giggled as she thought of something to say. "Easy to get along with!" She cheered, ears perked up as her tail waved back and forth excitedly. "You get along with new trial students, like the one this week, Jade! Even If you don't like the person you try to be nice. Daren even said you're easy to get along with!" Willow chirped.
No-One rose his head. "Guess I'm the last one, eh?" He chuckled, tilting his head as he came up with the last thing to say. "You're trustworthy. People can fall back on you without any fear of their secrets getting out." He started off. "When things happen to Adrien, Noah, Angel or Emma they know they have yo to fall back on when shit turns south with other friends. You haven't left Noah for more than a couple months at a time. You've known him for four years. You haven't left Emma's side and you've known her for two. Like Spooky said, you two have an unbreakable bond."
A smile was placed on Tara's face, glancing down then up at the five again. She wasn't sure what to say.
Spooky grinned. "There ya go, kiddo. Five reasons on why you're a good friend. Now you have your reasons to write your story." He pointed out. "I guess you're right.." Tara nodded slowly, realizing what they had just given her. "Thank you, even you Alex."
"No problem, kiddo. Its my job." Spooky winked.
Flashes of purple, blue, red, lime green and black flashed before her and the five were gone like that.
Blinking, Tara opened her eyes to reveal her ceiling. She must've fallen asleep or space out because she swore she was on her stomach before. She rolled over, swiping her IPad from her nightstand drawer and headphones. Time to get started on that writing assignment from her social worker...
