Chapter Two

((You know what I'm proud of? Fast & Furious 7 got more money than Frozen did while in theaters. Not to mention F&F got all that money faster than Frozen did. Yeah, I hate Frozen. Go ahead and hate me. I don't care. Frozen's a copy of a copy.))

Tina drove up the driveway of the house she's shared with the Toretto's and the team for years, the house numbers 1327, rusting up and aging. She opens up her door, slamming it shut behind her as she stomped up the front steps and ran inside. The house was empty, and she thought that strange. Mia was supposed to be home by now...Tina looks outside to see Mia in the garage, and within the faint light was a figure talking to her. Tina froze. She knew that man from anywhere. He wore a white top and jeans. He looked older than from the last time she saw him. Tina turns from the window above the sink and sank down the floor, breathing deeply as she sobbed into her hands. Fear and anger ran through her heart. Fear for looking into Dom's eyes, and Anger for Dom ever leaving. Tina frowns as she ignored the ache and stands back up, walking into the living room. She grabbed a cardboard box and labeled it Letty before going around the house to search for her sister's things. Things that reminded her of Letty that she wanted to forget. She knew she was being selfish right now but she didn't wanna mourn. She didn't wanna feel pain. She just wanted to pack her sister's things away and move on. She comes back to the box with a few things and takes a glimspe at them before putting them away:

A small tea cup from Letty's childhood, when Tina would always beg her to play tea time with her. The cup was small and pink, with blue polka dots all over it. Given its age, it had turned brown and dusty. Tina groaned and tossed it in the box, not caring if she broke it.

Next was a picture of Letty when she was seven. Her dark hair was shorter and pulled back in a braid. Next to her were two little girls in swimsuits, who looked younger than her. It was Tina and Mia, both wearing their short hair in pigtails. But Tina's hair was more blonde back then and her eyes were darker.

After that, a few clothes of both Letty's and the hand-me-downs she had given to Tina were put away and stuffed in the box. Tina felt non-stopping tears run down her face as she slowly, one by one, put Letty's things away. One shirt had the lettering of their father's mechanic shop logo on it. The year on the T-shirt was labeled a year before he died. Tina carefully tucked away some sunglasses, some cheap jewelry, and other pictures away, hoping to never see them again. She tapes up the box and breaks down on the couch, crying. She hated herself, for not wanting to mourn for her sister. For hating her sister. For not wanting to remember her sister...

She felt her heart break even more when suddenly two strong arms wrap around her, holding her close as she cried into his white shirt. His breath smelled of beer and his arms and hands smelled of engine grease, a smell that Tina thought she'd never miss. He buried his face into the crook of her neck, bringing her onto his lap and squeezed her tightly in a desperate embrace.

"You...jerk." Tina sobbed, "You could've...at least been at the funeral."

"I was, Ti. I was."

Tina hiccuped as she sat up, taking in a deep breath before clearing her throat and toughening it out, "Where've ya been?"

"South. But not far. I needed to stay in a drive's reach from my sisters." He tried to force a smile onto his lips, making Tina scoff with a smirk.

"I don't know how long you're going to do that, but I think it's safe to say that I'm not your sister. I had one...but now I've got no one."

Dom frowned, confused, "You still have family, Tina. You'll always have us. You'll always have me."

"No no no don't say that." Her voice broke in mid sentence as she stood up angrily and heart broken from his lap, walking back to Letty's box and showing it off to him as he sat there, "I know you. The next thing you'll do is get yourself killed-." She then slammed the box down right in front of him, "And get your memories stuffed in a box and packed away like Letty." She snapped.

Dom just sat there and took the blame as she continued, his jaw tightening out of instinct. "I'll never have you. People don't live forever, Dom."

He stood, slowly walking up to her and towering over her. This was his thing, always getting up close and personal before he talks. No lights were on, so his white shirt lit up in the moonlight from outside the window. His hand slowly reached out before lightly touching her arm, staring down at her like she was fragile. Like she was going to break any moment if he applied any more pressure. But he knew better. He knew she was tough. He knew she could take care of herself. He knew she never wanted his help. She wasn't crying out of sadness or pain. She was crying out of anger and frustration.

"I can't promise you anything good. But I can promise you this..."

She looked up at him with pleading eyes, begging for him to stop. Begging for him to stay, no matter how many cops could be on their way right now.

He lowered his head to whisper in her ear, "Anyone who messes with my family never see the light of day again."

A tear fell down Tina's face as she bit her lip, looking away and nodding slightly, knowing that no matter how hard she screamed at him, Dom won't back down.

She let him continue, "Mia's going to take me to the crash site, and then I'm going after whoever was responsible for all this. No one deserves to be taken away from their sister like that."

She felt like she had forced the cruel laugh that left her lips; like she forced that sad smile to curve in her cheeks, "Let's not pretend this is all about me and my pain, Dom." She whispered, "I know your real motive. I know who you're really doing this for."

He didn't respond. He just stared down at her with those cold, souless eyes. Those eyes that make you think what's really going on inside that head. It made Tina think that he never changed, because he was never an easy book to read. She studied those eyes for a moment, never breaking her gaze with his before she spilled out one word,

"You."

And she then held her breath for several moments, and only let it out once he was gone and the engine and headlights of a car vanished from the window. She quickly wiped away her tears, cursing at how much she actually cried enough to wet her shirt. She walked towards her cell phone and dialed one number.

"Brian. Dom's heading for the crash sight then heading out to the open road. Gotta plan?"
