Destination X: Granny's (Again)

Author's note: I was going to have this up Christmas night, but the Doctor Who special (which there are spoilers for in this chapter, so just skip the end if you haven't seen the episode yet) was too emotionally traumatizing for me to write after it. And I've been really busy for the past few days, so here's the Christmas party!

Regina, Robin, Roland, and Fruitsnackia arrived at Granny's a few minutes before six. Emma, Killian, and Henry were already there as well as Mary Margaret, David, and baby Neal. Ruby, Doctor Whale, and Granny stood behind the counter. Granny would glance over in Whale's direction with a glare on her face every few seconds, but she seemed happy enough that Ruby was back in Storybrooke.

True to her word, Granny allowed Regina to wear her blanket like a cloak. Emma wanted to feel it as soon as Regina walked in, and once she felt it, she didn't want to stop feeling it. Killian was finally able to drag her away by starting a conversation about Tenrose that he instantly regretted getting involved in.

After everyone arrived, Mary Margaret announced that it was time to open presents, which was long enough that it lasted until the Doctor Who Christmas special aired.

Henry got everyone a Santa hat. Neal and Regina both put theirs on, while everyone else decided they didn't feel like wearing a hat inside the warmth of Granny's.

Regina and Robin got Merida a Merida Pop! figure, which she laughed at when she opened it up. "I've always wanted a mini me. Now my dream has come true!"

Merida got plenty of arrows, so she doubted she'd need to get more for at least another year. Henry got three more Bamboo Pillows, which he was quite excited about. Mary Margaret, David, Emma, Hook, Elsa, Anna and Gold also got Pop! figures of themselves from Robin and Regina.  Emma got a dozen of red velvet Krispy Kreme donuts from Gold, Belle, and Neal, which led her to declare her love for both Neal and red velvet donuts. After she opened the box, she got one out to eat instantly and after much pestering from Killian, she allowed him, Liam, and Elsa to split one into thirds.

After everyone had exchanged presents and eaten, two more presents were discovered by Emma and Mary Margaret. Two presents that had been hidden so Mary Margaret and Emma could pretend to discover them at a certain time. When the two announced they had found presents, that was Regina's cue to take her phone out and be ready to record what happened next.

"Who are the for?" Henry asked, though he already knew the answer.

"Well, this one is to Killian from...David."

"And this one is to David from Killian."

David and Killian looked at each other, confused to say the least.

Emma handed Killian's present to him, Mary Margaret handed David's present to him, and Regina began recording. David and Killian tore open the wrapping paper and both pulled out a box. They opened the boxes and each one pulled out a shirt.

They slowly turned them around in unison. David's shirt depicted Batman...er, all of of Batman except for the head. Killian's was the same except he had a Superman one instead of Batman. The body of the superhero was cut off where the shirt ended at the neck, so it looked as if the wearer's head was the head of either Batman or Superman.

"Who is this?" Killian asked. "Is it meant to insult me?"

"No, it's meant to be funny," Emma said, giggling.

"Okay, who planned this?" David looked from his wife to Emma and then to Regina, who was still recording. "Regina, stop recording."

"No."

"She's using her phone to record us?!" Killian asked, alarmed, before his face morphed into a confused expression. "What does that mean?"

"She's taking a video so we will remember this moment forever," Henry answered.

"We're going to play this for everyone at Emma and Killian's wedding," Mary Margret added.

"No, they're not getting married!" David exclaimed.

"Why not?" Killian asked.

"Then we're going to play it at you guys' funerals."

"Speaking of which, did you guys ever even have a funeral for me?" Killian looked around. "Where's my body at? Would it create a paradox if I found it and touched it?"

Regina rolled her eyes. "Of course you'd ask that."

"No, we never had a funeral for you," Emma answered Killian, "but we had one for Neal and Cruella."

"You mean I'm not important enough for a funeral?!"

"You were dead for thirteen hours before we headed to the Underworld!"

"So why didn't you have a funeral in those thirteen hours?"

"Because it was nighttime! I swear I'm going to date Neal or Graham again if you don't shut up."

"Guys, there's seven minutes until 9:00! We need to get ready for the Doctor Who Christmas special," Ruby interrupted.

"I don't think I'll ever be ready for an episode Clara's not in," David muttered.

"Same," Regina agreed.

Robin glanced at Regina's phone. "Why are you still recording?"

"Because I'm going to put this video on YouTube and we'll become YouTube famous."

"No!" David protested. "Don't put it on YouTube!"

"I'm going to! And then we'll collab with Dan and Phil!"

"Yes!" Emma exclaimed. "Do it!"

"Guys!" Mulan interrupted. "Does anyone here care about the Christmas special?"

It took time, but eventually everyone was ready. There was thirty seconds until 9:00.

When River went on her big spiel about how she had never expected the Doctor to love her back, several people started crying, including Regina. She buried her head into Robin's chest, not ready for whatever might happen next.

And then River noticed Darillium. By that point most, everyone was at least tearing up, even if they didn't ship Yowzah or TwelveRiver. When Twelve and River were looking at the singing towers, Emma spoke softly; "The towers sang, and you cried."

"Shut up!" Regina told her, her voice cracking.

"Or maybe it should be 'the towers sang, and we all cried'?"

"I am going to chop your head off and then both you and your boyfriend will be stuck in the Underworld, just waiting for us to save you."

"Sorry."

After the episode ended, Granny's was silent except for a few sniffles for a solid minute before everyone erupted into applause.

Fruitsnackia and Roland were both sound asleep, and Henry was reading a book Liam and Elsa had given him for Christmas. He had promised he wouldn't be up too late, but Regina knew he would end up "accidentally" finishing the book before going to sleep.

"You okay?" Robin asked. Regina was laying on her back, staring up at the ceiling.

"I don't know."

"You started shipping River and Twelve, didn't you?"

"You know me so well."

"David's going to feel betrayed."

"No, but I haven't stopped shipping Whouffaldi. I don't know what I ship anymore."

"Maybe you should try to figure it out in the morning."

"It's only..." Regina glanced at the clock, "12:15. Okay maybe I should sleep."

Robin placed a kiss on Regina's cheek. "Merry Christmas, Regina."

"Merry Christmas, Robin of Locksley."

Author's note: Once again, I'm sorry for not updating. I'll try to have another chapter up today sometime. (If I'm not busy binge watching OuaTiW or the Librarians, that is)
