The missing God

"Who do you think it is today?" I whispered to Paisley in the outdoor amphitheater.

"I'm not sure. Maybe Ares." She whispered back.

"My Mom's been inviting a lot of her archenemies as guests. I mean, you all know the rivalry between Poseidon and Athena. Not to mention her bone to pick with Ares. She once described him as 'the most vile, slimy, creature to ever walk on Olympus since Hades.'"I said.

"Oh no! What if there's a Kindly one after your Mom?" Abby joked. Kindly ones are described as Furies, since words have such great power, especially on Olympus.

"Settle down, everyone." My mom said. The amphitheater was dead silent.

"We have another guest today. Ares: God of war." Mom said, frowning.

Big, burly kids were hooting and cheering. They were clearly Ares offsprings.

"Unfortunately, Ares wasn't able to make it. He was down in the mortal world, as usual, causing corruption and war against our generation as he has been for the last century when mortals were being taught about nuclear weapons." Mom said.

"That sounds like Dad alright." Ashton said.

"So we have Artemis: Goddess of the Moon and Hunt." Athena said.

She exited the stage. Students were whispering, eager to see her. Artemis is true legend at OH. Rumour has it she once defeated 3 Minotaurs in 4 seconds flat and she ventured to the inside of Professor Ladon's labrinyth.

We waited several minutes but no one appeared on stage.

Mom appeared on stage. A nymph whispered in her ear. Mom nodded.

"It appears that Artemis is gone."
