Chapter Four

My first instinct was to bite really hard on the hand wrapped around my mouth.

"Ouch!" the guy hissed, clearly in pain.

"Sorry," I whispered. "Where's the light?" He didn't respond, and I tried to search behind me on the walls. It wasn't there I spread my arms in front of me to feel where he stood. My hand landed on a hard chest as I stepped closer, reaching for the wall behind him. When doing so, his breath fanned my ear.

"What are you doing?" He whispered, his deep voice vibrated through me to the core. I got embarrassed at how close I must be when I sensed a leg right between my thighs.

"Just- stay- still." My other hand searches for his right shoulder. I found the light button right behind him. Squirming, happily turning the light on. I looked around at the small room. Sealed brown boxes everywhere and the walls the color of the sky. I looked at the walls, sitting down relaxing my wobbly legs. That's when I noticed where I was sitting. My heart stopped as I looked right at the brown eyes that were examining me intently with a tilted head, with perked eyebrows. My arms were on both his broad shoulders, and my hips were laid on his knees.

My cheeks heated as I noticed also the only thing separating us was my black sunglasses that slid between my chest and his. I took them before trying to get up and free him. When I was about to, two arms wrapped around my waist. My heart stopped at the sudden contact.

"If you get up now, you will nudge all the boxes behind you, and they will find you." He whispered in my ear. Then I did the next stupid thing. I stayed right there on a stranger's lap. I placed my sunglasses on top of my head, and all he did was staring. Our eyes locked in silence, only our loud breaths heard as we waited to leave.

"Your phone is buzzing." He said as I looked down to see my bag right next to him. Hastily, I opened it and Jax's name was popping. I closed the phone, turning it to silence. I looked back up and saw the man's jaw tightening as he was looking at my phone screen. "It- it was no one," I said, sighing, and he raised his eyebrow at me.

After a moment of silence. He slid me out of his lap calmly to peek through the door.

"The coast is clear," he said, getting out of the storage. I sighed in relief before following him out. I looked to where he went to. He was already out of sight.

"Miss García?" Tony ran to me, heaving from the other side. "Take whatever you want and go from the inside stairs." I nodded, leaving with the golden espresso in my hands.

"Betty, meet me in the back and bring some clothes." Before she heard the voice note, Betty was already knocking on my car window. Smiling. I groaned, pressing the window button.

"Oh, Bets, thank you."

"You're welcome, queen," She said with her voice full of delight like she was ready to puke some unicorn rainbow with eyes wide open at my sudden gratefulness. I cleared my throat signaling her to give me my things.

She nudges in my well-heated blazer and a skirt.

"I'll wait." She nodded as I closed up the window.

"How can she smile like that in the morning?" I sighed to myself, crawling back to the passenger seat to where my windows were toned pitch black. I stripped down to my underwear. Wearing my black Blazer and black skirt. I noticed this one was slightly shorter than I could handle today, as it ends way up my knees. I sighed, finally pulling the zipper up. I looked up in the rearview mirror, fixing my hair into a tight bun. After grabbing my makeup purse, my bag, and my sunglasses up to my eyes, I opened the car door. Sliding my bare feet out.

"Heels!" Betty placed black heels in front of me, I slipped both my feet in. I shoved my makeup bag into her open palms, walking past her.

"Follow me," I ordered as Betty squintingly nodded, closing the door behind me.

Once I was inside the building, an icy breeze hit me as I righted up my shoulders and strode past the murmuring voices.

"Coffee." I pointed sharply at the helper, not even glancing his way before he handed me my mug.

I strode the long hall, my heels clicking on the marble floor.

"Boss, please can you look at this." one of my employers ran behind me to catch up with me.

"Not now." I commended, leaving a few gasps from other employers.

"But it's really important." she hastened. I paused, turning fully around. My mouth quivered at her audacity.

"What's your name?" She gulped as I asked, looking at her feet with a newspaper in her hands.

"Nicasia." she blurted.

"Nicasia, what a lovely name," I whispered, getting a step closer.

"You must be new here. Give me that Nicasia." I waved my hand at the newspaper.

She handed it to me, her head still lowered.

I took it, looking at her as I shredded the newspaper into pieces; she gaped. I ripped them until they became like ashes falling slowly from between my fingers like sand to her feet.

"Now Nicasia." I sighed, clapping my hands together. "This happens when you annoy your Boss. And I am feeling very generous today," I waved my hand up at her "this is your first and last warning."

I closed the gap between us, making sure she understood. She nodded, her eyes red. "Good girl." I pinched her pink cheek before turning on my heels, ambling my way to my office.

Completely ignoring the whispers behind me.

"Bets leave the mug with you, I will take the make-up bag to the outside bathroom."

She nodded, handing me the pouch; I ran to the bathroom halfway pulling my sunglasses up.

"Oh, and Bets." I said, turning "Bring more coffee to my office. I need it."

I reached the bathroom adding some concealer, mascara, and lipstick. Red Wine lipstick.

Satisfied, I left everything on the edge of the bathroom sink and got out.

I waved to Betty to clean up my mess as she nodded affirmingly.

My steps halted in front of my office door as a strong and I mean very strong manly perfume reached my nostril, I cringed holding a sneeze. My phone buzzed as I reached for the door handle.

" Hello, yes... Yes, Ethan?" I waved at Betty to take notes, she ran to her desk grabbing a pen and wrote on her hand.

"Ethan Thompson. Time square Manhattan 3rd street red building corner. Okay great, thank you." I hang up, sighing.

"Betty, call my bank to send a ten thousand dollar check to that address."

Her eyes widened.

"But queen," she said, stepping closer.

"No buts Bets. I have a lot of work and a lot of headaches to deal with." I frowned before clicking the door open.

"But, Mr. Jax-" She stuttered.

My hand still rested on the knob as I looked back at her. "What does Mr jackass want now?"

"He is here," She whispered pointing at the now opened door revealing the broad-shouldered man.

I stepped inside, closing the door behind me.

And to my dear eyes, they met Jax's back, facing the window.

"Jax?" I raised an eyebrow, making my way to my desk.

He turned from the large window. Stepping close to the opposite side of the table.

"What's this?" He bent two hands on the table, leaning on them, His jaw clenched as if he was trying to control himself, looking at the smart device placed next to my coffee mug.

My gaze drew from the tall fascinating mug, to where his gaze stood. And my eyes blew open.

I took it in my hand up to my face so I could see clearer.

"No, no, no..." I gasped before tossing it back on the desk. "This is horrific."

"Horrific? Horrific? We had a contract, Miss García if you even remember. And you are clearly ready to blow it." He shouted, waving up his hands.

"First, you don't dare to speak to me like that, Sanchez, and secondly look at the image. He was just helping me grab a fucking bottle of coffee beans." I said, pointing at the picture.

"Helping you?" He raised his eyebrows before taking back his smart tablet in his hands. "Olivia García caught up in a cheating game?" he read with exaggeration, making me roll my eyes.

"Jax, you know I won't break the contract just for a boy." I sighed, waving at Ethan's image.

"Well, Olivia, he is not a boy, he is a man, a 29-year-old man."

"29, 30, 35, do you actually think I care?" I wrapped my arms around my torso.

"Will see about that... this is my only warning." He said sipping from my coffee before placing it back." Enjoy your coffee, García. " At that, he took off.
