The next morning, Amber Bear wakes up to the sun shinning on her face. She sat up in the bed and looked around to see she was in a motel room.

Then everything came back to her, that she was too tired and Nathan drove them to a motel to fully get some rest. Amber turns her head to the night stand between the two beds to go see her phone was on the night stand and after grabbing it, she checked the time and saw it was 9:53 AM.

The bathroom door opens and Nathan came out of the bathroom in a change of clothes. He wore a long sleeve light green shirt and blue jeans with white ankle socks, as the weather was chilly with it being the middle of November.



Nathan has dark brown hair, pale tan skin, green hazel eyes and stood at 6'1 in height with a strong muscler build.

Amber looked up at her son as she asked him what town he had found, Nathan replied, "I found a town that wasn't too far from the highway. I think the town's sign was called; 'Welcome to Crystal Cove'?"

At the mention of the town's name, Amber snapped her head up to look at her son in disbelief as Nathan looked at his mom in confusion as he dried his hair. "What? What's wrong?" Nathan asked his mother in confusion, not understanding why she looked so startled.

"Um, Nathan..., I don't think I told you, what town you're father and both our families lived in, right?" At Amber's question, Nathan was confused but he shook his head and said she never mentioned it to him.

Amber let her head drop, as she realized the can of worms she didn't open, and so Amber lifted her head and began to explain to her son that this is her hometown she ran from after what his biological father did and that both his and her families lived in this very town.

Amber had told her son, where they currently are and who are living in this town. Nathan was shocked before he looked angry as his mother had briefly explained to him her past and where his father currently is but she hasn't been in contact with them since she left town.

When Nathan questions if they should leave immediately, Amber decides against doing it right away as she wants him to know a bit of her past. Even if her own memories are painful, it wouldn't be fair for her son to miss out on his biological family, for the rest of his life.

So Amber told Nathan that she can take him to see her favorite spots before eating lunch at her favorite diner and then leaving for their camping trip.

Amber grabbed her clothes and a towel before she entered the bathroom to get ready.

After 30 minutes, Amber came out in a white T-shirt, black jeans and a unzipped lilac hoodie. Her hair was pulled back by a black headband and is wavy and she has on minimal makeup on.

When Amber was done, she exited the bathroom to see Nathan on his bed playing on his switch. She moved past him to her bed as she pulled out a pair of grey socks and her dark grey vans. Amber asked Nathan if he was hungry and wanted something to eat for breakfast.

Nathan agreed that he was hungry as he set his switch down and in his bag, before pulling on his white sneakers.

Amber smiled as she stood up and told her son to check he had his wallet and phone as she gathered up her purse and Nathan passed her the second room key. Amber thanked her son, before she did one last check that she had everything and another looked around to make sure she didn't forget anything important. Amber felt she was forgetting something important but she couldn't figure it out, what.

"Mom?" Amber turned to her son, and saw that he held up the car keys with a small smile on his face. Amber laughed at her son and she grabbed the keys and thanked him. But she did give him a pointed look, "And not one word out of you, mister." And when Amber turned around to open the door, "I never said, you're getting old." Nathan muttered under his breath.

Amber opened the door and stepped out only to run into a familiar face she didn't want to see so soon.

On the other side of the door stood two men who were taller than Nathan, one of the men had the same shade of brown hair as Amber but his eyes are brown and he had tanned skin. He stood at 6'4 in height with a large muscular build, he wore a black t-shirt, with a black leather jacket and black jeans with combat boots.

The other man had bright blonde hair and deep ocean blue eyes with pale skin. He stood at 6'5 in height with a large muscular build, he wore a white T-shirt, a unzipped white jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.

The man with the blonde hair and blue eyes looked at Amber and Nathan in suspicion, while the other man looked at Amber in shock and disbelief. Finally the man spoke up, his voice full of disbelief, "...Sis... Amber is that really you??"

Amber's face was stoic and cold as she glared at the two men, and used her body and the door to cover her son from their gazes. Her mother protective instincts on overdrive.

"Why hello, brother dearest.... What brings you here." Amber spoke with anger and venom on her tongue, making the man who's her "brother", flinched back as if he was struck in the face.
