"i don't know. what if they don't like me? i'm not exactly popular and fun." , josh frowned.

brendon furrowed his eyebrows and lifted josh's chin up. "you are popular and fun. everyone loves you, j. that's just your anxiety talking. if you're uncomfortable at any time we can leave okay? go back to my place, cuddle and watch shameless?" , brendon smiled.

"season 4?" , josh cracked a smile.

brendon rolled his eyes. "why so you can rewatch mickey come out for ian?" josh nodded with a grin.

"of course. are you ready to go in?" , brendon asked gently.

josh took a deep breath but nodded. he held on tightly to brendon's hand but the taller boy didn't mind. he was so far up josh's ass, he'd let the pink haired boy hold his hand anytime he wanted to. the two were outside their mutual friend's house, jenna. the blonde cheerleader wanted to have a get together and she invited a couple of friends that josh has heard of and even seen around in the halls at school but has never talked to. brendon being a social butterfly though knew everyone. josh was well liked too he just mostly kept to himself.

"wait. who's all here again?" , josh shuffled anxiously. brendon rubbed his back and was patient with him. he always would be.

"tyler joseph the captain of the varsity basketball team. his teammate dallon. he's really tall i think we both had spanish with him last year." josh nodded along. dallon was a class clown and usually got sent out of the room.

"uhh jenna's friend debby. she's here too."

josh looked up to hold eye contact with brendon. "i don't remember you telling me she'd be here bren." , josh mumbled.

"i'm sorry i just thought if you knew then you wouldn't wanna come." , brendon frowned. he felt awful for keeping the redheads presence away from josh.

"she's obsessed with me. she's going to talk my ear off all night and what if she tries something?" , josh rolled his eyes. she's tried before.

"you can sit on my lap. don't worry about tyler or dallon making fun of us for it. tyler's bi and dallon is straight but he's not homophobic. his brother is gay." , brendon said as he curled his fingers through josh's hair to soothe him. it worked as josh leaned into his touch.

"so just us, jenna, debby, tyler, and dallon?" , josh confirmed. brendon nodded before pecking the corner of josh's lips. josh smiled at his high top converse.

" 'm ready. ", the short boy nodded. he was determined to have fun.

brendon reattached their hands swinging them as they walked to jenna's front door. the taller of the two opened the door and pulled josh inside before closing it. jenna told them it was okay to walk right in.

" ayeee look who it is. urie it's been a while. ", dallon said bro shaking brendon.

" hey. this is josh. ", brendon said pointing to josh with the hand that wasn't in his.

" yeah nice to meet you dude. ", josh gave a polite smile which warmed brendon's heart.

" of course bro. come on everyone's in the basement. i just came back up here to get more drinks. ", dallon said.

that's when josh noticed that dallon had a bag in his hand and it looked to be filled with alcoholic beverages but josh couldn't tell what kind.

" fuck yeah i guess we're getting crossed as fuck tonight. i brought bud obviously. ", brendon smirked.

" of course you did you're a stoner. tyler brought these edible brownies that his brother made. ", dallon said as they walked down the basement steps.

josh smiled at the thought of edibles. he loved sweets and he loved getting high. i mean he had to love it, brendon urie was his best friend.

" i fucking love edibles they're my favorite way to get stoned. ", josh said. he felt better already. he didn't know why he was so anxious before.

" i like carts. tyler has a pen too. we're getting so fucked tonight bro. everyone's only sipping on their first drink right now. "

and then they made it to the bottom. josh and brendon were still holding hands as brendon led josh over to the couch where jenna was sitting snapping some boy on her phone with a twisted tea in between her thighs. debby was sitting criss cross apple sauce on the floor between jenna's legs sipping on a smirnoff, eyes fixed on the tv that was playing rick and morty. tyler was in a beanbag chair sipping a mikes hard lemonade. he made eye contact with josh as brendon pulled the short boy onto his lap. dallon went back to his spot next to tyler.

"hey losers we're here the party can start now." , brendon joked.

josh rolled his eyes playfully and quickly stood up to look through the drinks that were in the bag dallon brought down.

"hey i'm tyler." , the athlete smiled towards josh.

"josh." , he smiled back. he continued to pull drinks out. he didn't drink often but he wasn't opposed to it.

"are four lokos good?" , the pink haired boy asked pulling out the drink.

"god no. you'll probably hate the taste but it gets you super fucked up really fast. twelve percent alcohol." , tyler said.

josh nodded taking it out anyway. "i heard you have edibles." , josh smiled sweetly.

tyler chuckled and leaned over to pick the tray up off the floor. "chocolate chunk. i ate one like 5 minutes ago. so did dallon and debby but jenna is distracted by her phone." , tyler pointed over.

he saw jenna typing quickly at her screen. he then made eye contact with debby and smiled but quickly looked away.

"jenna put your phone down and give me attention." , josh pouted.

jenna looked up at josh for a second before looking back at her phone. "hold on. texting."

"i'll give you attention." , debby giggled. she was already tipsy from the one smirnoff. josh guessed she must be a lightweight like himself. josh chuckled awkwardly but didn't respond.

"j hand me the bottle of whiskey i don't like that fruity pussy shit." , brendon motioned to the Jack Daniels that was by dallon's feet.

the tall boy agreed with brendon and gave josh the bottle to give to brendon. josh was soon back in brendon's lap both of them sipping from their respective bottles and cans. josh's face immediately scrunched up at the strong taste of his watermelon flavored four loko. tyler and dallon started cackling loudly.

"you'll get used to it. you're gonna get fucked up before you even have a second drink." , tyler snorted.

"like m-meeee", debby giggled. she was no longer paying attention to the adult swim cartoon and was now turned facing jenna, josh, and brendon. the redhead snatched jenna's phone out of her hand and slid it across the basement. "jennn it's time to fucking party. get the speaker and let's have a good ass time. and everyone who hasn't had an edible yet needs to get on that shit. they're really good by the way tyler." , debby finished.

jenna grumbled about her precious phone but stood anyway to snatch a brownie from the aluminum foil. "thanks zack made them last night." , tyler replied to debby.

tyler and brendon stood also to get their own delicious treat. they took a bite at the same time. josh's eyes widened. "holy shit i wanna marry your brother." , josh laughed. as soon as those words left josh's mouth brendon, debby, and tyler looked jealous. tyler hid it well considering he only just now met the pretty boy with pink hair but debby pouted and brendon rolled his eyes.

"zack is like 24." , brendon grumbled.

"yeah and he's engaged sorry dude." , tyler laughed.

"well imma pack a bowl. the more stoned the better. jenna where's your bong?" , brendon asked as he shuffled through his jacket pockets to fish out his weed.

jenna was too busy trying to find her party playlist called 'faded with ur friends vibes' so she didn't really hear the question. before brendon could ask again debby was handing him a glass hello kitty bong. "i got it for her last year on christmas."

brendon took it from her with a smile and sat on the couch getting to work. "so i haven't seen you in a while." , debby started.

"yeah uh i only go out with brendon occasionally but when i do it's always super fun. can't wait for this edible to kick in." , josh laughed.

"you and brendon are just friends right?" , debby asked.

josh almost choked on his drink at the question. brendon had been his best friend for years and years, they basically grew up together. josh did have that phase in ninth grade where he was lowkey obsessed with brendon and wanted to date him but at the time brendon was with a girl named sarah and the crush just died out over that year. now they were seniors and josh looked back on it as a funny memory that brendon has no idea about.

"yeah he's just my best friend. why?", josh took a sip of his drink.

" i don't know jenna and i get the vibe that he has a thing for you. who wouldn't though you're so cute. ", debby giggled.

josh blushed because he felt awkward. thankfully he was being pulled away by an annoyed looking tyler. "sorry debby it's bro time." , tyler smiled.

debby rolled her eyes and made her way to get another drink. josh sat down on the big bean bag that could fit two so tyler sat in it with him. "wanna hit?", tyler asked holding out his dab pen.

josh started to giggle uncontrollably. he was clutching his stomach and tears were making their way down his cheeks. tyler looked confused but amused and started to chuckle with the shorter boy. "what's funny?" , tyler asked.

"i don't even know. but yes please." , josh made grabby hands and tyler gave him the pen. after hitting it twice he gave it back to tyler who pocketed it.

"you looked uncomfortable that's why i pulled you away from debby." , tyler said.

"yeah she has a crush on me. like a big one. i don't wanna be a jerk but i'm not into her like that." , josh shrugged.

"what's your type then?" , tyler asked.

josh blushed and looked tyler up and down. tyler could honestly be josh's type. he was tan and perfectly in between scrawny but muscular. his hair was fluffy and kinda got in his eyes. he was wearing a basketball hoodie representing their high school and grey nike shorts with nike socks and then regular checkered vans.

"hey josh where'd you go? you were kinda staring." , tyler smirked.

josh blushed an even deeper shade of scarlet and tucked his head down. "just spaced out." , josh mumbled.

"nah you think i'm hot." , tyler downed the rest of his hard lemonade.

josh rolled his eyes but smiled and finished off his drink as well. he felt warm inside from the alcohol and giggly from the weed. yeah he was high. and the edible was kicking in.

"yeah i do. what do you think about me?" , josh looked up at tyler with his lip in between his teeth. oh and another thing.. josh is bold when he's intoxicated. brendon knew this and he was watching from the couch as he blew out a puff of smoke from his banana ice puff bar. he was jealous like really fucking jealous and he knew tyler's reputation of sleeping around.

tyler just smirked and looked josh up and down like josh did him a few seconds earlier. "you're adorable and hot and funny and cool." , tyler said.

"no you." , josh busted out laughing.

"holy shit guys do you feel that?" , dallon was laying on the floor blunt in one hand, bottle in the other.

"it's hitting you already? we took it at the same time but i don't feel-" tyler stopped mid sentence. "oh shit! dude!"

dallon sat up. "yeah i know. i hope i don't green out like last time." , dallon shuddered.

"i hope i don't black out like last time. i couldn't remember anything." , debby said.

"what drink are you on?" , jenna asked.

"fourth. and put on music already what's taking so long." , debby replied.

"FOURTH? you were just on your second! what have you drank?" , tyler asked eyes wide.

debby giggled. "first was smirnoff ice then i got a twisted tea then another smirnoff but the orange one and now i have the blue four loko." , debby listed off.

"oh so you're getting fucked up fucked up." , dallon whistled.

"aren't we all?" , jenna said finally playing a song. swimming pools by kendrick lamar filled the basement speakers and immediately everyone was up.

"oh my god i love this song." , josh clapped.

brendon moved behind josh and put his hands on his waist. josh giggled and pretty much now everyone was feeling the effects of the edibles and alcohol. josh swayed against brendon to the music, debby was throwing it back on jenna, and tyler was recording dallon taking a shot to post on his private story. not to mention the led lights were flashing so it just made the vibe more immaculate.

"are you having fun babe?" , brendon whispered in josh's ear.

"mmm yeah. so much." , josh said back. he turned around in brendon's hold so that he was facing him. brendon's breath hitched at how close they were. his hands were still gripping josh's hips and josh thought it would be fun to bite at the taller boys neck then proceed to lick over it and suck, thus giving him a hickey. "you're my best friend bren i love you." , josh slurred.

"fuck. yeah no i love you more. way more." , brendon kissed his cheek.

tyler watched as he danced in between jenna and debby. his eyes met josh's who was back to grinding on brendon so tyler wrapped his arms around jenna's waist and pulled her into him. she blushed but smiled and danced against him. josh watched rolling his eyes and turned around once again to kiss brendon. on the lips. brendon gasped but kissed back almost immediately. when they pulled apart brendon was looking at josh with heart eyes but josh was already looking back at tyler's reaction. but the basketball star was too busy with jenna who was pressed against the wall with her legs wrapped around tyler. oh so tyler would just continue to one up josh? okay.

"are we gonna talk about that kiss?" , brendon asked.

"eventually. for now let's just have a blast." , josh grabbed brendon's hands and jumped around with him. he ignored tyler and jenna who continued to be pressed up against each other dancing and kissing for another 30 minutes. he laughed when dallon turned red from coughing after taking a big as s rip from the bong. he let brendon carry him on his shoulders while debby was on dallon's and they had a chicken fight even though they weren't in a pool.

"i am so fucked up and it feels so good fuck." , jenna smiled lazily. she was sitting on tyler's lap with a joint in her hand.

"me too but i have the fucking munchies." , josh whined from the bean bag with brendon. debby and dallon were just sitting on the floor.

"mmm can we order pizza?" , dallon asked.

"im down. i'll call it in right now. are y'all sleeping over?" , jenna asked.

"im too fucked up to drive so josh and i are gonna stay if thats cool with you.", brendon mumbled.

"yeah thats fine we should just have one big slumber party.", jenna agreed.

and oh was it going to be very fucking interesting.
