like writing because of the pressure for clicks, engagement, and traffic—to produce content fast and constantly, which inevitably sacrifices verification and depth for volume and speed. it's a real problem in digital media.

but other sports also deserve the spotlight.

football started the same day as basketball. chess is happening right now and badminton is starting next week. there are people competing right now that nobody is writing about because apparently two of them are the only ones that matter to our traffic numbers
