"Mum."

"Maryse, wake up." Robert's voice whispered in her mind as she fallen asleep. Slowly her eyes flutters mumbling Alec's name. When she opened her eyes, she recognized she asleep in Alec's room again. It has been a week since Alec is in hospital and they prayed each day for him to wake up but every single day they went home and filled with disappointment. Each day Maryse counted to be the last day she woke up with news on Alec awaken and he's going to be alright but end up having her heart torn into pieces.

She prayed that when she woke up she won't have to deal with her dilemma, that someone will either tell her Alec is awake or that he won't make it. The questions had been pondering inside her head for a week now since Alec hasn't shown any progress, it seems like he himself had gave up and wanted her to move on but she couldn't, not like this.

"Maryse." Her husband's voice heard sitting besides her and she felt the bed dipped lower on her side. She looked up and met his eyes, tired as much as she is, they both just got home from the hospital few hours ago and when she looked at the watch on her wrist, it shown already eight in the morning. Only then she noticed the sun shines from the window and it's already morning.

"What is it? Is it Alec?" She asked and Robert nodded. She immediately jumped from her lying position and sat up on the bed facing her husband. "The hospital called just now, they said we need to come but they didn't say why." Robert explained.

"Give me time to shower and get the kids ready, I'll be down in few minutes." She lied but Robert knows that for years, she could never get them down in few minutes sometimes it took half a day.

"The kids are already in the kitchen, they wanted to come with us. If anything happens to Alec, they want to be there with us." He explains again. Maryse rubbed her swollen eyes and tied her hair into a loose bun. "Okay, just give me time to get ready and we will all go." She said bravely and Robert nodded but before she could get out from the bed Robert took her hand in his, it startled her at first but she then smiled at his gestured.

"Whatever happens, we are still one." Robert whispered, their face inches away from each other. Maryse looked up and met his eyes, he could see how the years have taken toll on her husband, he's not as young as he was when they first met. She leaned and rested her forehead on his and they both closed their eyes inhaling a deep breath and released them. She raised her hand around Robert's neck and slowly a tear fall on her cheek. "I know. I love you." She whispered.

Robert raised his hand and cupped her cheek while his thumb wiped the tears soaking her cheek. "I love you." He leaned and kiss her on her lips, the taste has longing feeling and they had been apart for a while since Alec is sick. She wrapped her arm around his neck and he pulled her closer. The hug is comforting and warming for Maryse, just the way she needed.

"Come on, we can't let them wait." He said and she nodded, letting herself off of him and stood from the ground. She then went to her room and get herself ready for whatever happens today. For better or for worst, she had to deal with it somehow.

"Do you think it's bad?" She whispered next to him in the car, she looked back and both Isabelle and Jace had their ears plugged to their earphones listening to whatever it is on their phone while Max looking through the screen and enjoyed his game in the iPad.

Robert sighed before he continued, his hand gripped the steering wheels tight making his knuckles all white. "Whatever it is, we will have each other to go through it today." He said handing out his palm for her and she took it gladly. He brings it to his lips and kissed the back of her palm. She smiled weakly and let her gaze back to the window next her thinking the only worst thing could happen today.

As they walked the hospital halls heading to Alec's room, her feet are dragging towards the reality. This is it, she thought, this is the time they will tell her that her son is dead, that Alec died peacefully in his sleep last night and they did everything they could to save him. She saw that a lot in the movies and heard it multiple times when she's at the hospital waiting for Alec. She prayed to the other family members that heard the news and amazed at how strong they are at receiving it.

She couldn't figure out how she would take it if one day she would lose Alec. She begs that today is not the day. Her heart is racing and her chest is pounding as they got closer, from far she could see Valentine stood in the hallway with one of the nurse with folder in her arm. He was talking to her probably instructing her his order and she wished she isn't here right now. She wanted to go back home and dream of Alec again calling her name.

She prayed that it won't be the last time she heard his voice calling her out, even if in her own dream. As they walked closer and Valentine spotted all the Lightwoods are there, he dismissed the nurse and walked a few steps closer. His face is emotionless, not sadness nor happy that could make Maryse guess what is on his mind exactly.

"Finally, you're here." He said shaking hands with Robert and Jace. Maryse eyed him closely as she kept herself close to Isabelle, she had her hand wrapped around Maryse's elbow preparing for what happen next.

"What happened?" Robert asked first, usually Maryse would be the one to ask first but this time, she is out of word. She could see Valentine fidgeting in his stand placing his hand in his pants pocket.

"Before you guys go in there, I want you to prepare yourself mentally and not overwhelming yourself." He warned and the pounding in her chest grew harder. "What do you mean? Did something happened to him?" She asked and her face is cleared of worried and expectations.

"Something did. But let's get you guys inside first." He said handing out his palm gesturing for them to get in. Isabelle pulled her mother in but she stood her ground like a stone. Robert saw her face is taunted with guilt and hope for the better future but she was also scared to her wits.

"Darling." He grabbed her palm with his and slowly guided her inside Alec's room, Valentine had the door opened for them while Jace, Isabelle and Max let their parents go in first as they followed after.

As Maryse and Robert walked in hand in hand, she wished she had eyes closed not prepared for whatever it is in the room. The room is silenced and the only sound they heard is the beeping from the machine like the usual time when they entered. What she didn't prepared to see was her son, her oldest son sitting up on the bed looking towards the window and it felt like a dream, her usual dream since the day Alec in here.

He turned to face his parent's and smiled. It felt like the whole room light up with his brightest smile, and his weak face were brightened under the sunlight that shine in the room. "Hi mum." He said softly and Maryse felt like her world has grown and alive again. "Alec?" She called and he nodded holding out his arm for a hug.

Maryse literally sprint towards him and hugged him tight into her embrace. The usual smell of her son is still there minus the scent of the hospital. "Oh thank you lord, thank you." She kept kissing Alec's cheek and hugged his body tight. "I'm sorry." Alec whispered into her ear and she pulled away from him looking straight into his hazel eyes, "Why? What do you mean?" She asked concerned of his sudden question.

"I was acting immature, reckless and I wasn't thinking of other people's feelings especially you. I didn't mean to hurt you, I swear, I was just angry." He said and Maryse cupped his cheek with her palm, "We talk about this later, the important thing is that you are awake and alive." She said, tears non stop falling on her cheek seeing Alec is sitting in front of her like he usually did. He nodded before his gaze met his father.

"Hi dad." He said as Robert approached them from behind Maryse and he nodded unable to contain his tears as well. He went to Alec's side and hugged him in his arm, he kissed him on top of his head as Alec wrapped his arm around his body. "I know my boy is strong, I know you make it out." He said still holding Alec in his arm and Alec cried into his embrace.

"ALEC!!!" The screamed startled not just Alec but Maryse and Robert as well and when they looked to the source, Izzy and Jace stood in the room with Max in Jace's arm running towards him. Maryse and Robert stepped aside to let them reunited with his siblings as they all hugged each other with tears in all of their eyes.

"I told you not to get overwhelmed." Valentine said crossing his arm to his chest showing his smug face towards Maryse and Robert. She glared at him before she commented, "You son of a bitch. You could have told us what happened instead of letting me think the worst." She said and Valentine chuckled, not usual for Maryse to curse in front of her children but sometime it slipped and she isn't afraid of showing her bad side to him.

"I thought it would be a surprised, for you guys." He said and Robert shook his head placing his arm on his wife's shoulder. "Good to see you back Alec." He said nudging his head towards him on bed, "Thank you." Alec said softly with both Izzy and Jace by his side and Max on his lap.

"I'm hungry." Alec said after a while they all being reunited. Maryse chuckled at him and the nurse who checked on his vitals smiled. "You should be, you have been unconscious for a week but we can't risk having you choke so start on something soft first okay?" She said as she removes the cuffs on Alec's arm.

She excused herself and left all of them back into the conversation. "I'm so hungry I could eat ten hamburgers." Alec said and Jace looked at him with a confused eyebrow, "That's my line." He said and smirked.

"Okay Lightwoods, let's get something to eat." Robert announced as he clapped his hand together and Max cheered jumping from the bed into his arm. "Get something for Alec, some soup maybe porridge, oh! can you bring him some big bottle of water, he needed it later." Maryse instructed and Robert smiled.

"There she is." he said in front of them and they all smiled, "Welcome back mum." Jace said kissing her cheek and walked out from the room followed by Isabelle leaving her alone with Alec.

She sighed smiling at him and took her seat on his bed beside him, Alec grabbed her hand with his and looked into her eyes. "We need to talk." He said and she eyed him deeply, "I'm sorry for everything." Alec started and Maryse sighed.

"I saw the medication, all of them." She said and Alec remembered well what happened. He remembered pouring it down into the toilet bowl and flushed it down the drain. He remembered everything that happened with his outburst and he remembered sleeping and never wake up after.

"I was angry at myself. I wanted all of this to be over. I couldn't handle myself being a burden anymore." Maryse stopped him by placing her forefingers on his lips. "Alec you are never the burden in our family, everything that happened to you was not your fault, don't ever called yourself that." She assured him but his eyes explains he was hiding something else.

"When is the last time you guys had a break from taking care of me. Day or night, everyone had to do what Alec wants. We all can't go hiking anymore because I can't, we don't play tennis like we all usually do because I can't be under heat. What else you guys need to sacrifice for my sake?" Alec questioned his worries and it felt good to be able to talk things out with his mother.

"Everything!" Maryse protested. "We did everything together as a family and if you can't hike or play balls or whatever it is we used to do then so be it! As long as we are still together as a family and that is more than enough!" Maryse raised her voice at him and she saw how Alec hold himself from letting him burst into tears.

"How much money you wasted from your life savings, yours and dad wasted enough just so I could live for few more months. It's not living anymore mum, but it's surviving." He continued and Maryse sighed pinching her nose bridge.

"It doesn't matter Alexander, all we did was out of love and you have nothing to worry about, we have no regrets in doing so. What my regret is that you thought we felt burden having you around, who on earth has been putting ideas in your head?" She asked worried about his disturbing thoughts.

"Some boy. He made me realized our family is too poor that there's no future for us if you guys keep spending it on me." Alec mumbled grabbing the blanket closer to his chest. "Who?" Maryse asked, angry at someone planting the disgusting thoughts in Alec's head.

"No one, don't worry about it." He said and Maryse stood by his side, her fist clenched in anger as she eyed him on the bed, "Who Alec? I'm gonna kill him for saying that to you or even let you think otherwise." She said angrily and Alec smirked at her, "You will kill someone for me? Like a mama bear?" Alec chuckled lightly at his own mother.

"I would if I have too. Doesn't matter who the person is." she said as she sat back down next to him, "What if I told you it was Magnus Bane." He said and Maryse jolted her head towards his with a confused eyes, "Who's that?" She asked and Alec scoffed, "The boy you met at the groceries store, the one you pitied." He said and Maryse recalled the day she met the strange boy with a fancy clothes in the supermarket buying a tube of ice cream.

"Did he?" She asked again and Alec shrugged, "That boy is peculiar but if it's true then I have no problem whooping his ass." Maryse raised her palm up signing to slap someone which made Alec laughs.

"Thought you want to kill him, not smack him." Alec commented and Maryse slapped his arm, "Stop teasing." She warned and he laughs even louder which made her joined his laughter.

"I couldn't tell you how many time I dream of this moment. Hearing you laughs, seeing you in front of me and able to touch you." She said and holding out her hand to stroke Alec's cheek. He leaned into her warm touch and sighed, "Don't ever do that again, ever!" She stated her point fiercely at him and he nodded.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to decide for DNR I don't even know any lawyer except you." He said and Maryse glad to hear him said those. "I know, I am not ready to give up on you Alec, don't ever say you are giving up on us and don't you dare take shortcuts like that." She smacked his arm and he winced in pain.

How could this conversation changed from sweet to making promises to sudden abuse. Maryse smirked at him but her eyes drowned in tears she wasn't able to hold, "How many lives I have left exactly before I finished it?" He asked and again another smacked from his mother on his arm.

"OW! Mum! That really hurt!" He whined and Maryse raised her eyebrow, her face shown smug at her action, "I know so then you know never to say those things like that again. You heard me?" She said and Alec snickered, "Fine, thought being a cat is the least of your worries." He said and lay on the bed with his pillow propped.

"That ain't even cracked my top ten." She said and both of them laughs again, there is nothing in this world could make her even more happier seeing Alec smiling and making jokes with her again. She got her son back, that is more than enough for her, for now. The least thing she wanted can put aside as long as Alec make out from recovery.

Summer break is here, Alec has been cooped up in the hospital bed for almost two weeks and today started the day of their summer break. Crazy thing is Alec was able to made his test with the help of his school teacher, he did them all while he was in the hospital. Alec is a bright student and even though he had little time to catch up his study but he managed to them all within two weeks of study.

Maryse was quite worry Alec pushing himself in graduating but she couldn't say anything else since Alec insisted and promised her he would do everything else that she told him too as long as he did his exam. He hated falling behind and since he couldn't attend anymore classes, he was even more frustrated than ever not to be able to graduate this year.

Knock, knock

Someone knocked on the door while Alec looking out the window, he wanted to be outside, he wanted to go home and felt his freedom again. When he heard the knock, he turned and saw Jace walked in alone with a bag pack on his back. "Hey, what are you doing?" He asked.

Alec looked at him with his arm crossed on his chest, he walked around freely in the room but his body is still weak if he out did himself so Valentine is very reluctant to let him go if his emotions are still heightened about his depression.

"Nothing, what's in the bag?" He asked unsure of his brother's intention. "Something you will thank me later." He said putting it down on his bed, then unzip it. "What? A bag full of porns?" He said snickering while taking his steps on the other side of the bed facing Jace. He immediately looked up from the bag and stared at Alec's face with a scowl on his face.

"Euw, no! It's this." He brought out his laptops with his sets of charger and placed them on the bed. "Movie nights. I'm here till tomorrow." He said and brought out something else from the bed. He took out couples bags of Cheetos and cheese balls with few cans of cola stuck at the bottom of the bag. If their mother is here she would throw them out of the window the moment she laid eyes on it.

They both sat on the bed with Alec leaned bag on the pillow and Jace sat on the bed beside his legs. The laptop placed on the table and he brought it across Alec's bed while they both munching on the bag of Cheetos.

"Jace." Alec called him and he hummed in response since he stuck his mouth full of the cheese cracker making him unable to speak. "We need to talk." Alec said and Jace turned his head in a sudden movement looking straight at his brother. "What is it?" He said after swallowing the mouthful and waited for Alec patiently.

"I'm sorry for everything." He started and Jace's eyebrow furrowed. "For what?" He asked and Alec sat up facing him closer. "I made you feel guilty for running out of the house like that. I was stupid not to think of how you would feel like it. The truth is I was jealous of you and Clary." He said looking down on the blanket covering his legs.

"I was jealous of Isabelle having all the boys attention at school for being her, although I know she never entertained them but she has the attention. I was jealous at how Clary's eyes light up seeing your face everyday like she hasn't seen you in years. Ever since I got sick, I always knew I would never had the chances to meet someone or to fall in love with them, to have them cared for me like you and Clary did."

Silent tear fall on Alec's face when he confessed this to Jace and he sat there in silenced. "Alec I wished you would have come to me and told me this." Jace said and Alec looked up to his face. "How can I? This isn't something you can do, what if I did fell in love, what happens then if the person knew I was dying, what if I made them fall in love with me and then I died. It's not fair to all of you and now I have to put more casualties?"

Alec sniffed his tears and wiped it with the back of his palm and few of those tears escaped on the blanket on his feet. He can't let Jace see him crying like a wuss but he couldn't hold his own tears anymore.

"There's something about Clary that you need to know." Jace said and Alec looked up meeting Jace's blue eyes that made his blonde hair more appealing and brightening. Jace inhaled and exhaled few times before he continued, "We broke up, well I did, I end the relationship." He said and Alec gasped.

"What? What happened?" He asked, curious at his brother's action. "The day you left it made me feel something. I realized that I had spend my time thinking about her more than I should had with you. I never thought I would lose you since you were doing so much better but when you were in the hospital, I was on a date with her. It broke me too pieces knowing I wasn't there at home to help mum with you, I was supposed to be at school but I played hooky with her because she was upset I cancelled our date."

Jace paused to gain his strength to tell the rest of the story, "I told her that it was a mistake to think she was more important than my own family. So I let her go." Alec rubbed his forehead tried to process Jace's story. It was his fault he felt like that.

"Jace, I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. You should call Clary and tell her that you still love her." Alec said and tried to look for his phone but failed since he doesn't have his. "It's okay Alec, if it's meant to be, it'll be." He replied but Alec won't had it. He has to fix this so his brother won't end up as lonely as he is.

"No Jace, I don't like this. You and Clary should talk this out and made her see it was just a stupid mistake." Alec said pointing out his index finger towards Jace. He sighed before he continued.

"I should have never had to choose Alec. It's never was you or her. You are my brother. It wasn't Clary's that took me in when my parent's died. It wasn't her who comfort me through the loss. It was you, all of you guys. When I was at the CPS, I kept thinking the whole night that I might have to move and live with other's strangers family, but the next day when I see mum and you picking me up, I was the happiest then I was."

His tears starts to filled his blue eyes and when he blinked it fell on his cheek, Alec used his thumb to wipe them dry and let him continued. "You gave all of your toys to me just so it could cheer me up. I don't want to eat anything other than my own dead mother's cooking and you gave your dessert to me everyday for months till I could start eating mum's cooking. So no Alec, if I had the littlest amount of time in this world to spend, I rather spend it with you."

More tears coming from Alec's eyes and Jace's. It looks silly for two grown man to sit on hospital bed crying their eyes out but he couldn't care less.

"If I had to choose between my family and anyone else in this world, I would choose you guys in a heartbeat, no questions needed." Alec burst into more tears knowing how grateful he has Jace in his life, his brother doesn't matter if they weren't by blood.

Alec opened his arm for Jace and he came closer to his and hugged his brother. He rested his head on Alec's shoulder while he tapped his back softly. They both break their hugs wiping their faces together.

"We look ridiculous." Alec said and Jace nodded with a smile. He wiped his eyes with the back of his palm and Alec gripped his wrist hard, "What the heck?" Alec said holding out Jace's hand that covered with the Cheetos', it looks like orange sausages. Jace laughs at him while Alec tried to look at his hospital shirt and noticed the orange patch on his back.

"You've got to be kidding me." He said and stood up, "Get me a new shirt." Alec said and Jace shook his head. He stood and wanted to leave and ask the nurse for a new shirt but before he could reached the door Alec screamed at him, "Na-ah! Wash your hands first!" Jace clicked his tongue, scowling clearly on his face, "Bossy." He mumbled before he turned with a smile on his face heading towards the bathroom.

"Alec you heard me?" Valentine asked again and Alec seemed to be distracted today. He got to be discharged as plan but he can't stopped thinking about their supposed trip. They would probably enjoying their time under the sun by now, swimming with the fishes, exploring new city and spend time as a family, but he had to ruin it all. He was staring out the window with his mother by his side, their hand clutched together, "Alec?" She asked staring at his face.

"We're supposed to be at Hawaii right now." He whispered and Maryse exhaled a long breath. Robert by Alec's other side rubbing his shoulder. His eyes still kept on the window watching the beautiful sky, it's another beautiful day, no rain or storm heading, he thought.

"We'll planned something else okay?" Robert said rubbing his shoulder and Maryse rubbed his palm in hers, "I wanna go home." He said and looked down at his mother's face. He swallowed dryly before his mother nodded. "Okay baby." She said standing up from her seat and kissed him on his forehead.

"Now Alec, plenty of rests, eat properly and please, I mean please, take your medicine." He begs placing his palm together in front of Alec. He nodded while leaning on Maryse's body as she rubbed his head with her fingers.

Home never been this comforting to Alec, his room is like he never left. He spend his entire day in his bed reading books and watching movies and by the end of it, he got bored and wanted to go out but his mother strongly insist he should stay inside.

He walked around his room and stared at his own reflection on the tall mirror in front of him. He took off his shirt and exposed his naked chest, examining his frail body filled with nothing but scars. He felt disgusted by it, every trails of his fingers he ran across his old scars and his new one when they fix the device on his chest.

It wasn't as painful as it was before, he remembered well how the scar used to look like and it was actually worst. His thoughts wander to the conversation he had with Jace that day, on how he would find someone to love him, how can anyone love someone that has a body like this. Beauty is everything in this world. He thought.

He sat on the edge of his bed and kept staring at himself in the mirror unaware of the presence by the door. "Hey big brother." Izzy's voice heard making Alec turned his head towards the door with a smile. "Hey Izz, come in." He said gesturing for her to walk inside and grabbed the shirt he tossed earlier and wore it on his body. "Watcha doing?" She asked as she strolled inside looking around Alec's room. She always amazed at how clean and neat Alec's room is compared to her.

"Nothing. What's up?" He asked and Izzy sat on the bed with Alec followed after but end up leaning against the bed pole. "Are you okay?" She asked, Alec nodded with a smile at her sincerely, "Yeah, why? Do I not look okay?" He asked looking himself up and down and Izzy snorted in a laughter. He always knew how to make her smile when she is at her lowest.

"I was just asking in case you want to talk to me about anything." She asked and Alec sighed an exasperating sighed looking up to the ceiling of his room before looking back at her, "Jace told you isn't he? That bastard couldn't keep his damn mouth shut." Alec cursed walking around his bed and sat on the edge. Izzy scooted closer and end up sitting next to him.

"Don't blame him, he was all Casanova but truth is he's a Romeo." Izzy said and Alec snorted back, "Romeo? Really?" He asked looking to his side and Izzy nodded her head fast like a kid who had been asked for an ice cream.

"Look at him and Clary, he's head over heels over her." She said and the thought of Clary made Alec felt guilty again. "Could you do me a favor?" Alec asked his sister and she nodded, "Of course, what is it?" She asked, offering him her helped.

"You're friends with Clary right?" He asked and Izzy nodded, "Yeah." She replied, curiosity building in her mind. "Get her and Jace fixed again, I don't like seeing Jace like this, I knew he was too stupid to realize that girl would do anything for him." Alec explained and Izzy shrugged, "I'll see what I can do."

Silenced fell in the room as Alec and Izzy stopped conversing for a while, he kept his gaze forward towards his walls covered by his achievements, while Izzy kept her gaze at her own brother. "Alec, someday someone will come along and they will love you so hard it was the hardest thing to let go." Izzy started and Alec smiled.

"Thanks Izzy, but I don't think I want to make that happened anytime soon." He said fixing his posture and lay on his back. "Don't say that. Everyone has their own better half, maybe yours is just around the corner, waiting to be hitched." She said and Alec snorted into a laugh.

"Sounds like a stalker to me." He said and Izzy smiled, "Who won't stalker you? You're a catch." She bumped her knees on Alec's leg and lay on her back as well next to her brother. Her silky black hair flowed on the bed as she lay and Alec could smell the jasmine in her.

"Trust in fate, have faith and someday you'll thank me." She said and Alec looked up to her eyes. "No one wants to date a damaged goods Izz, I'm all broken, inside out, how can anyone love me like this." Alec's eyes gestured his whole body and Izzy felt his pain, in a world where beauty and perfection is something people sees before knowing their true heart and soul made her wonder if her brother would ever find love.

"If that person loves you that much, he or she will look beyond the scars." Izzy replied and Alec stared at his ceiling again ignoring Izzy's last comment.

"Whatever it is, I'm just glad you're home. I miss you, I miss us." She said and Alec nodded. "Me too." He said and Izzy sat up removing herself from the bed. "Oh and mum said dinner will be ready soon." She said before walking out from Alec's room.

"If that person loves you that much, he or she will look beyond the scars."

The words replayed in Alec's mind like a broken record. Could he ever feel love in such short amount of time? If he did, how would he let go then.

"Dinner's amazing mum, like always." Alec commented as he took another spoonful of pasta into his mouth. "I'm glad you got your appetite back." She said wiping her mouth with a napkin on her lap and stared at her husband. "Alec we have some news." Robert said and Alec stopped chewing for a moment and stared into his father's eyes.

"What is it?" He asked wiping his mouth with the napkin on his lap, mirroring his mother's behavior. Robert looked at his wife and stood from the dinner table, he took an enveloped from the island and bring it back to his seat. He handed the enveloped to Alec and he took it hesitantly.

He pulled out the content in the enveloped and found flight tickets. When he opened them it mentioned from Los Angeles Airport to Honolulu International Airport. He placed them back in the enveloped and looked at all of their faces waiting for his reaction. "Should we make a public burning or something?" He asked and Jace snorted.

Maryse squinted her eyes at him while she stares back at Alec, "Alec why would you said that? Don't you want it?" She asked and Alec looked at her with confusion clearly in his face. "Yeah but it was too late remember?" Alec said and Robert shook his head in disbelief. He took the enveloped from Alec's hand and opened it to show it to him. "Looked at the dates." He said and Alec looked down on the tickets.

It's dated two days from now and Alec's eyes bulged in shock. "Wait, how?" He asked and Robert and Maryse smiled looking at him.

"We made few calls, to the airport management and the hotel in Hawaii to backtrack our plan for your condition and they are more than happy to do so, considered it as your final wish." It hurts for her to say those words but she swallowed her sadness away and stayed strong for Alec.

At the moment it was worth it, Alec's face light up and his smile widen in seconds. "We're going to Hawaii?" Alec asked and both Maryse and Robert nodded with a smile. All of their children cheered at the dinner table including Max even though he isn't aware of what is happening but the mention of the plan already get him so hyped up. Nothing would prepared them for what is going to happen while they are in Hawaii enjoying their last vacation together as a whole family.

Bane

"Sir, here are your details for the vacation planned by your father, he send it to me to hand it to you." Charles said after he interrupt Magnus from his video gaming. "Wait what?" He asked and looked at the details inside the pouched bag handed to him, his passport, his airline tickets and the details of the hotel.

"He's not coming isn't he?" Magnus asked and Charles stood there in front of him. The face he had seen in many years, countless times, the face of disappointment being let down by his own father. Magnus tossed the papers away and went back to his game trying to hold his tears at bay.

Charles picked up the papers and placed them back in the pouch before gesturing Magnus to face him. "He told me he would take his time off and spend it with us as a family, what a load of bullshit. I know I shouldn't have trust him, why I was a fool to trust him this time? If I had a hundred dollars every time he let me down, I would be rich by now, more richer than he is now." Magnus continued his rant while clicking the button harshly.

Charles feared he would lose it and smashed the thing like he always did when he had his tantrum so he leaned and sat on the floor next to him, "He said he is sorry, he will try to make it up to you." Charles said and Magnus scoffed. "Like hell he did, you know what, I'm gonna go to this horrid place alone and enjoyed myself to the max, probably won't even bother to come back."

He said smashing his controller on the floor before he stood. The thing crashed and pieces of it came out, but he ignored them and went to his room instead.

Charles sighed picking up the broken pieces, he couldn't remember how many times he did this and how many controllers exactly wasted and destroyed by Magnus' hand. Again he never did blame the boy, he blamed the father and all the wealth he had since he was a baby.

How he wished Magnus would see beyond all this wealth his living and one day made it a better home than his father did.

Lastly, I wanna know if any of you guys had an experienced with a chiropractor? I had swellings and severe pain after the treatment. Is it normal or should I stop? I still had few more sessions and I don't think I wanna go through with it.
