He cares so much about others he can't care for himself.

Background : He's a mudblood and lets just say he spends his holidays at school and bounces around from place to place. Yes he loves his parents but it wasn't fair for them to have to deal with all of this magic stuff which almost sent his mother into cardiac arrest, yes they are still in contact but it's the best for all of them if they distanced themselves - they are also quite closed minded.
