Lily had arrived home and was surprised to see Derek up waiting for her.

"Oh, hi honey, how was your day?"

She asked as she tried to calm her racing heart from being startled.

"It was good, it was good"

He repeated himself.

"You know, you've been working awfully late these last couple of months. What did you say you were working on?"

He asked folding his arms. Lily looked at him in surprise as she took off her jacket.

"Scheduling issues"

She said quietly.

"Scheduling issues, what kind of issues can he possibly have when he comes on the radio every single damn same time!"

He voice is getting louder. Lily took a step back.

"It's not that, he has to compete with other radio stations to get that particular time"

"You sure do have an answer for everything"

He said walking away.

"Well, what are you trying to say?"

She asked walking behind him. Derek stopped to turn around to face her.

"I'm saying you're probably sleeping with your damn boss"

He said angrily.

"I'm not!"

Lily shouted.

'Oh shit, he got me. But how? I made sure to be careful'

She thought fearfully.

"Oh is that so because you never want to hang out with me, you be missing date nights and when we do hang out, all you can talk about is your boss!"

Lily narrowed her eyes at her husband.

"Well I can say the same for you, every time when we do go out you're checking out other women and on top of that you compliment them right in front of me like I'm just one of your friends"

"At least I'm not a blushing mess in front of my boss"

"You know what I need a drink. We both need time apart, don't wait up for me"

"That's how this whole mess started!"

"What do you expect me to do?!"

"Quit!"

"In your dreams Derek"

She said glaring at her husband as she went to put on her jacket and grab her purse before leaving the house.

~Club~

Lily sadly looked down at her drink that was sitting on the counter. It was late at night and there were bars still open. She sniffled as she tried to clear her head.

'Derek is right, this whole mess started with this job'

She thought sadly.

'But I don't regret what Alastor and I have because it's real and with Derek it was just an arrangement'

The sound of someone playing the piano brought Lily out of her thoughts. She looked up and was surprised to see Alastor playing and a woman sitting on top of the piano singing.

'What the hell? They look awfully close'

She thought before downing her drink and getting up to make her way to Alastor. Lily tapped his shoulder causing Alastor to stop playing and turn his head and was surprised to see Lily.

"Lily my dear, what are you doing out this late? I thought you went home?"

He asked as he stood up.

"Why so you could spend time with another women?"

She asked slightly angry. Alastor was surprised at the tone of voice.

"Another women?"

He asked confused before she motioned towards the lady sitting on the piano.

"Oh her, why she's just a friend, my dear"

He answered happily.

'What a liar'

She thought before grabbing Alastor's drink and dumped it on him. Lily then made her way out of the club but Alastor quickly followed behind her, trying to keep his temper in control. As Lily was walking away, Alastor quickly grabbed her by the arm and pushed her back against the brick wall.

"Now why would you go and do that"

He said angrily. Lily stood her ground.

"I'm risking my relationship for you, for us and then you go out with some bimbo and call her a friend!"

She shouted angrily. Alastor frowned in thought.

'She was happy when we departed earlier from work but now she's angry at me or taking her anger out on me. What exactly happened to her?'

He thought.

"What happened?"

Alastor finally asked Lily who immediately broke down in tears.

"Derek knows that something is going on between us"

She said sadly. Alastor let out a sigh as he brought her into a hug.

"Ssshhh it's okay. It's alright"

He said as he let her cry into his chest.

"Is everything alright out here?"

The women from earlier asked. Lily slowly pulled away from Alastor's hug.

"Darling, this here is Mimzy, she's a good friend of mine"

He said with a kind smile as he pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"So she's just a friend?"

Lily asked.

"Yes my dear, why would I want her when I have you"

He said lovingly causing Lily to smile.

"Hey! I'm right here"

Mimzy said causing Lily and Alastor to laugh.

"You see everything is alright my dear"

He said to Lily. Lily smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry for throwing your drink at you"

She said.

"It's alright, at least I know you mean business"

He said with a laugh. He then turn to Mimzy.

"Can you give us some privacy?"

He asked. Mimzy nodded before heading back to the club. Lily gently stroke his chest.

"How about you sleep over at my house tonight and I will take care of everything"

"What are you planning to do?"

She asked curiously.

"Just a civil conversation between man to man"

He said causing Lily to smile.

"Thank you"

She said kindly as she embraced him. Alastor couldn't help but grin as a wicked idea came to mind.

~Next Day~

Lily barged into Alastor's office crying.

"Darling, whatever is the matter?"

He asked as he stood up and walked around his desk to hug Lily.

"He's gone!"

She cried. Alastor quickly made his way to the phone.

"I need to call the police and tell them Derek is dead"

He said as he began to dial but Lily quickly stopped him as she stood there slightly confused.

"Al....I never said who was gone"

She asked hesitantly before slowly taking a step back from him.

"What did you do?"

She asked fearfully as Alastor slowly turned around to face her with a smile.
