19.| FOLLOW ME DOWN
THAT NIGHT, SHE BEGAN TO JOURNAL EVERYTHING THAT SHE FELT. It didn't matter what it was that it was, she wrote it down. Any emotion that flooded into her mind, she jotted it down onto paper so that she would be able to look back on it. Dwell on it so that she would be able to make sense of it and figure out what she was going to be able to do with the life that she had made for herself. Jasmine had created a new way of life for herself, and now, she had to figure out the most important part.
There were difficult things about becoming a Host. But the biggest aspect was the idea that now all of her emotions were running on overdrive. Now, she was going to have to figure out a way to separate the old feelings that she had about becoming a Host, and the feelings she had about being a Host in the present day. Jasmine hadn't wanted the life for herself, but now that she did, she was going to have to figure out a way to live with it. To figure out a way to live with the idea that now she was so much more than she had been before.
A heavy sigh left her lips as she glanced over her shoulder out of the window. Her head tilted to the side for a moment and she inhaled. Everything felt heavy as she sat on the soft couch and she wanted nothing more than to rest. To rest and to not think about everything that was going on around her. But the longer that she sat on the couch, the more that she thought about the Vision that most of her feelings were attached to.
Vision was the one person that her feelings were attached to. He was the constant person in her life that made her feel human, and now that she was further from that, she had to hold onto it. Her humanity was the one thing that she had to hold onto, otherwise, she felt as if she was going to lose the person that she was. And that wasn't something that she could have. Jasmine wanted to stay as similar as she could-she didn't know what she would've done if she wasn't human, or anything resembling that.
Jasmine pushed herself to her feet, setting the notebook on the coffee table. The woman ran her fingers through her hair as she let out a heavy sigh. She glanced around her apartment as she rested her hands on her hips, and then she made her way out of the home. Her mind was loud as she wandered the halls of the Avengers' Facility, not knowing where she was going. No destination insight as she continued to twist and turn down all of the corridors, before she found herself standing in an archway, her eyes narrowed in on the android man.
Vision stood in front of a large window, his eyes staring out. Jasmine didn't know what it was that he was fixated on, but she wanted to know. She wanted to know what it was that he was focused on. Jasmine wanted to help him if he was focused on an equation that he was attempting to solve. If there was something that Vision needed his help with, she wanted to help him. It would give her something to do in the vast confusion that she was left in.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Vis," Jasmine called out to him as she made her way toward him, and Vision glanced over his shoulder. A smile appeared on his lips as he stared at her
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Jasmine," The Android greeted her, holding out a hand to her. Jasmine's eyes fell down to his red hand before she took it in her own. The dark-haired woman glanced out of the window before she glanced up at him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "What're you doing?" She questioned, shaking her head slightly. "What's going on?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I'm lost in translation," Vision commented as he let out a small sigh. Jasmine pressed her lips together as she glanced to him again, watching as his brows were furrowed as he stared out of the window; as if he was staring off at nothing at all, lost in thought. "Tony wishes for me to help him with something, and I am not quite sure how to figure it out."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "you're always able to figure it out, you always find a way," Jasmine replied to him as she ran her hand up to his forearm, and he nodded his head before he turned to face her. She tilted her head to the side before a small sigh left her lips. "Does it have something to do with me?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Him, as well as a few of the others, want to figure out a way to help you through this. To help you recover in a better way than you have," Vision explained, and she nodded her head, but he knew that there was something off. "That is not the answer you wanted."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I thought you were going to tell me that Tony is off creating again, and he didn't know the correct calculation for something of his and he asked for you to solve it," Jasmine answered honestly as she shrugged her shoulders slightly. "I didn't believe that it would have something to do with me. Not again."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Vision reached for her and rested a hand on her cheek, "We just want what is best for you,"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Jasmine rested her hand over his own, and she brushed her thumb against the back of his hand, before she offered him a small smile, "Then just help me adjust. Do not worry about how I am going to be in the long run but help me get back to work. That is all I want to do-all I ever want to do."
The two of them were silent for a moment as they stared at each other, and this time, Jasmine knew what it was that she wanted to do. The woman leaned in and she went on her toes a bit to press her lips against Vision's. She knew that she had caught him off guard by his intake of breath, and she smiled to herself as the two of them were held together. Jasmine kissed him softly before she pulled away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Host glanced down to their hands before she met his gaze again. "I am going to go to my lab. I hope to see you there to help me."
And with that, she twisted around and began to make her way down the corridor; hoping that Vision would follow her down.
