❝Have you heard? There are passages to the far shore in this school... ❞

"No, it's because you felt a fucking bond with that moron too..."
"What...?" Uraraka asked, her eyes slowly widening with her facial expressions softening as the situation begin to sink in.
There was so much that she didn't know; that was what she had been thinking the whole week she had known Deku. But now - after this little talk with the ash blonde, she realized that she didn't know anything at all...
She was still standing in the dark - and so was Bakugou by the way he acted upon the matter. And something told her that they might never know what exactly they weren't being told.
And that fueled determination into her brown eyes. She wanted to know. She had to. Whatever was being kept a secret, it called her. Calling out to her to know, to search for the truth.
"Listen," Uraraka was snapped out of here train of thoughts by Bakugou who placed his book bag down on the table and took a seat. "If you're gonna search for those fucking mysteries, there's nothing in here. And if you ask Deku, he'll tell you not to go after them or that he doesn't know shit like the asshole he is."
"So... Um, what should I do?" The brunette asked not sure of what the boy was trying to tell her.
Bakugou sighed - he didn't want to put up with this but he knew Uraraka was going to waste a shit ton of time if left to deal with this on her own. He already wasted months on the mysteries she was just starting to look for. Things were bound to go faster if he just told her what he knew and go on from that point. No, he's not being nice, fuck off.
The ash blonde began,"I've been doing some research. I've found a few things... I know where the mysteries might be hidden."
"Really?!" Uraraka beamed.
"I said 'might be'. I'm not sure if I'm right." The ash blonde added right away before continuing what exactly his research was,
"If I'm not wrong; these fucking mysteries are hiding something... Something big. Something that they absolutely don't want us to know. Fucking shitheads... And if they don't want anyone to find out at all - they would've been hidden some place where no one can just waltz in like a regular."
"But... They're hidden in this school." Uraraka said, "Every student and faculty member can get in easily."
Bakugou replied, "They still can't go everywhere in the school. Doesn't it cross your coconut head? There are fucking apparitions in this school. They must have their own fucking boundaries."
"What are boundaries?" Uraraka asked, tilting her head to the side while clutching the hem of her uniform and then later adding with a rather threatening tone, "Stop with the coconut thing, dammit..."
Bakugou's left eye twitched, "Well, aren't you a dumbass. 'I will find the nine mysteries!' Bullshit. Do you have any fucking idea what we're trying to deal with here?! You don't even know about those shitty boundaries! Do you know anything beyond the fact that Deku's a fucking ghost? Good luck with finding those dumb lines because I'm not wasting my braincells explaining everything to you, Round Face."
"Hey, no fair! It's only been a week for me! You've known him longer! You've had more time to search things up! Nobody automatically knows everything!" Uraraka exclaimed, trying to stop the ash blonde from escaping.
Bakugou flung his book bag over his shoulder, "I thought telling you where the mysteries could be will help finish things faster. But I'm not running you down on everything from the start."
With that said, the ash blonde went past the brunette and towards the door out.
Uraraka exclaimed, "Wai-Wait a second! What am I supposed to do then?!"
"Maybe not get in my fucking way?" The ash blonde replied, standing a step away from the door frame but before he could actually step out of the library, they were met by another face.
"Hold your horses~!"
Deku appeared at the other side of the door frame with his usual smile. He stood in front of the ash blonde - his arms making a cross - to stop the other boy from leaving.
Upon seeing the green haired ghost again, Uraraka subconsciously smiled widely while Bakugou had an expression that said I-wish-I-could-kill-you.
"Were you really just gonna leave someone in the lurch like that, hm Kacchan? And a girl? Your own classmate? Where are your manners?" Deku spoke with great displeasure in his voice as he pinched the ash blonde's cheek forcefully.
"Stop it, dammit! You're not my mom!" Bakugou yelled back with a failed attempt to push the ghost boy away. A hint of red lingering across his cheeks - he had a reputation to keep that was being crumbled away right in front of someone, okay?!
"So, you fancy me a babysitter? Noted." Deku said but with the death glare Bakugou sent his way, the green head changed his answer with a gasp and sparkling eyes, "Or a big brother perhaps!"
Bakugou growled, "You little piece of shit... You're dead to me..."
"I'm dead to everyone, sweetie~!" Deku chirped, making peace signs with both his hands. "That aside, you shall call me Deku-nii from now on!"
"Fuck off, ghost boy!!"
"Uh-huh! It's Deku-nii to you!"
"You're shorter than me!!"
"Oh ho ho~ Is that crying I hear?"
"I fucking hate you. Die again."
"You love me~ Everyone does~"
'Their relationship is completely different from what I imagined!' Thought the brunette who was left to only watch the scene as the green head kept on teasing the ash blonde.
But this scenario also made Uraraka wonder; how exactly did these two meet?
Bakugou surely didn't seem to be the type to go summon a ghost for a wish or to check if the rumors were true, unlike Mina. Plus, she was sure the ash blonde wasn't dumb enough to actually think he could fight a ghost and win with his quirk.
That could only mean one thing,
'Perhaps, they were friends from the very beginning but an unprecedented accident left Deku-san dead and Bakugou couldn't help him at all. The guilt must've been the reason of his shitty personality... Ah, how sad... And now that Deku-san haunts UA, Bakugou wouldn't have needed to summon him since they were both friends when he was alive! Deku-san must've been searching for him since his death. The heart wrenching story of two childhood best friends!' Uraraka gave life to her thoughts by imagining a similar scenario but illustrated as a manga.
Though, she seemed to have forgotten the fact that Deku was probably fifty something years older than both her and Bakugou.
Anyhow, her theory was quickly put down by the green haired ghost as he seemed to have read her mind and found himself bound to give her an answer. Of course he wasn't doing this to tease Bakugou further. Nonsense. He could never...
"How we met is a really climatic story. I'm sure you would like to know, eh Uraraka?" Deku asked as he floated over to the brunette, his will-o-wisps fluttering along.
"Don't you tell her a fu-!" Bakugou wanted to resist but couldn't as Uraraka had already replied with a nod.
Deku chuckled, "So here's what happened~"
Without a doubt, the ash blonde tried to interfere but was then met with the green centred will-o-wisps in the face, pushing him away.
"This is the story of how the two meant-to-be souls met across the hallways of this very school. Ah, yes... I remember it to be the evening of a wondrous Saturday when my dear friend here was busy carrying his gauntlets to the development studios for improvements on his own. What a strong boy, I'm proud." Deku wiped away a dramatic tear while the said blonde was yelling curses in the background.
"And the innocent me, on the other hand, was like always fighting the devils you call cute; the Mokke. Even though I managed to capture them, they had left a banana peel in the hallway. Tragic~ Kacchan slipped and fell, if you couldn't tell." Deku said, "A roar of laughter echoed from the evil Mokke. I couldn't help but laugh my ass off too. And then there was the twist; Kacchan was able to see me..."
Deku clapped his hands together, "And since then, I've been babysitting him. I just recently adopted him as a little brother, though we're also bestest friends."
"Fuck off, shortie!! You're obviously the little brother with your problematic 5'5 ass!!" Bakugou yelled as he attempted to escape from the will-o-wisp that kept bugging him.
"He considers me a brother~! Eeee!" The green head squealed with his fists curled up.
"Wow... This kind of feels like a dream... Weird..." Uraraka mumbled.
"Okay, enough from me!" Deku asked, "What were you guys talking about?"
"Fucking nothi-!"
"Bakugou was telling me where the nine mysteries could be!" Uraraka raised her hand, cutting him off.
"Oh~?" Deku gave the ash blonde a glance, "You've been searching for them even after I told you not to, hm? Is that why you got an 89 on your math test? Such a waste of time. Shame~"
"Fuck you. It's none of your business." Bakugou flipped him off.
"So, what did ya find?" Deku asked, putting a finger to his chin. Uraraka doing the same beside him.
Bakugou rolled his eyes before saying, "Just an assumption. The mysteries might be hidden in the boundaries or the far shore."
"I only asked him what it was. Such low patience." Uraraka whispered to the green haired ghost floating beside her.
"Hm. Hm." Deku nodded in understanding, "I'll tell ya! The stronger apparitions have their own boundaries which is where they are the strongest and in control of mostly everything that happens. In my case, it's that abandoned room. These boundaries connect to the far shore which is basically the after life. They work as passageways to the land of the dead. Not everyone can get in and out. So, I can see where Kacchan's coming from..."
"You think we can find them there, Deku-san?!" Uraraka beamed.
"I think? Yes. I allow? Not really." Deku shrugged as the will-o-wisps fluttered around him.
Uraraka asked, "What why...? Do you still believe it's all meaningless?"
Deku replied, "Well... I simply believe you kids could do way better things than stuff your heads with things you don't understand."
"But we will never understand it if we keep pushing it away!" Uraraka exclaimed, "I have to know. Deku-san, you know about these strange bonds, right?! I feel them! Bakugou does too! They're calling out to us to know! Please!"
The ghost in question stared at her for a moment before replying, "Jeez, Kacchan, why can't you be like her. Honestly, I'm disowning you for Uraraka. She's so pure."
"The fuck did you just say, assho-!?"
"Is that a yes?!" Uraraka asked, cutting off Bakugou again.
"Just... Just don't make a deal out of them, okay?" Deku said, scratched his cheek a bit nervously.
"Of course!" The brunette exclaimed, smiling.
Though, Bakugou's annoyed face was something Deku would gladly put up in a museum.
