I don't know if it's me but I love it when an authors adds more extra creative to their stories so that it isn't so dull. It's the chapter's designs, gifs, banners and/or icons (not emojis)!

This is a chapter to help your readers "enjoy" reading your story!

Writing Style:

The basic writing style is to have well-divided paragraphs so that a bunch of sentences won't be huddled together like textbook chapters! We all hate seeing those things and it feels overwhelming!

Each paragraph should have at least 3 to 6 sentences before you start another paragraph or continue to write a long paragraph. Long and short paragraphs aren't BAD! By all means, please use them!

Short and long paragraphs should be used with purpose though! Usually when you're reading a short or long paragraph, it leaves an impact on the reader because it's powerful . Long and short paragraphs are used to trigger emotion from the reader, or hold them in an intense section for a drawled affect.

If that makes sense.

Long paragraphs are usually arguments or speeches that leaves us with raw hearts. Same goes for short paragraphs. The difference is that short paragraphs usually have one sentence or ONE WORD that's vivid and powerful alone.

"Question answered!" Lucinda laughed, "What about all of you?" She laid back in the old, creaky seat. "People want to run us! You can't let them run you! It doesn't take rocket science to know whether or not you're being used. The challenging part is deciding on how to get away from that conflict. Sometimes you feel trapped like there is no way out because that's the only options they give you! When in reality, you had a choice but they had you buried so deep that there wasn't a way out. It feels like your suffocating, drowning. You feel helpless and worn out, but they don't care. As long as they see the benefit at the end of the day then all is good in their eyes. It's selfish!" The silence in the room screamed louder than the tension in the air. Lucinda dropped her face into her hands and started to take slow breaths. She was lost and forgotten. Every single time her brain started to think she immediately shut it down because thoughts can kill your humanity.

Examples of Short Paragraphs (Will be underlined) :

I stared at the woman's limp body on the shore of the beach. My heart was racing and it felt like everything around me started to blur. I swallowed harshly and reached down to place two fingers on her next to find a pulse.

My motions were quick and eager to find a simple thump come from her stiff body. The cold tide washed the salty water above my ankles causing me to shiver. The temperature was nothing compared to the woman's body.

A gagged escaped from my mouth as I made eye contact with her. She had her eyes open wide but she looked to be daydreaming into the fluffy clouds above us, bursting through the atmosphere and into heaven.

She was beautiful, but those spooked eyes showed signs of struggle and tragedy.

Dead, broken, and empty.

I tried! But do you get what I'm saying? Divide those chapters up to make us feel what you're trying to express!

GIFS GIFS GIFS GIFS:

Who doesn't love these things?!? Gifs help authors get a visual of the story or what's to come! They also help make the reader excited to read, depending on what you post.

Gifs are like "sneak peeks" or in other words a trailer! A chapter title isn't the only thing can give the reader an ounce of what's coming, so can gifs!

I don't know about you, but when I see a gif, I get happy as shit and I drop everything to read that chapter. By the end of the update, if I liked what I read and the story matches the gif (in my opinion) then I click that STAR to vote for that chapter. (Although I'll vote anyway because I'm that nice! Gifs just make me be extra!)

BUT! When you're using gifs, PLEASE DO NOT randomly place them after every paragraph!

I know right! Look at the hypocrite!

The only reason I'm doing exactly what I said NOT TO DO is because I'm trying to stress the point of writing style, and how gifs make a difference in the chapter. Does that make sense?

This book is simply a guide! So I can break the rules only in here to show you what the fuck I'm trying to say. Excuse my FRENCH!

The reason I say NOT to do that is because it's distracting. Speaking of distractions!

Please don't use emojis when on Wattpad! LIKE EVER! It's unprofessional, lazy and straight up ugly!

A person like me has a short attention span, so when I see shit like this . . . 👑😫💯😮😂😡😊😴😜 I get distracted! Then I forget what the fuck I was READING! So I have to go back up a couple of chapters and RE-READ to understand what the hell is going on.

Excuse my French again!

"Oh look! It's so pretty and yellow!" 👮👤😨😰😑😑😭😑😢😑

Just look at it. Your screen is probably black, white or tan right now or whatever reading mode you're on, so those big yellow things just stand out! It's ugly people!

I'm not trying to be shady! Please don't take this as an offense! I'm trying to help in every way I can.

It's lazy to do this because you're cheating your writing. Your putting the emotion instead of being a true author and writing it! We want to READ about your chapter rolling her eyes, not SEE IT! 👀🗣

THIS IS A PET PEEVE OF MINES! CAN YOU TELL?

I'll have to make a part two about this because there's MORE!

Breakdown:
1- S E P A R A T E. Y O U R.
P A R A G R A P H S !
2- Use gifs ONLY ONCE IM THE BEGINNING OF EACH CHAPTER!
3- NO 😱EMOJIs😲 Keep those ugly hoes away!

Until Next TIME!
